Blitz is going to be the death of me.

Right before the crystal, when he thinks that Stolas is really breaking up with him, he straight up begs.

"Stolas, please, I need this book. Please."

Uh huh the book . . .

"I need this book, Stolas. I will do anything.

Looking down (maybe telling himself, "I knew this was coming eventually") and then looking up, trying not to cry.

Despite . . . his everything here, I'm pretty scared that half the audience will think this is really about the book, and I'm not ready for the bad takes yet.

To be fair, at that exact moment he *might* think about the book, too (his and his people's wellbeing are dependant on it, they wouldn't be able to do the job anymore, and, knowing the kind of persona Blitz is, the last thing he wants is to let someone down; he has people other than Stolas to take care about, too), BUT, the viewer should be reassured it is not about the book anymore here:

He *knows* what that crystal is. He used it at least once, in "Unhappy Campers". He is still furrowing, in disbelief, not understanding the point, not being happy. Notice the shift from "The Circus" episode, where all of his focus was on the book, and he had the change of heart only because of pity (he still stole that book). If their relationship development would be on that level, he would probably already leave.

And, if someone still considers the idea "it's the book he is worrying about", then why we've seen this?

"Because I can always, I can always do better", - for what would he say that? He has the crystal, he has no strings attached anymore. Why puppy eyes, why nervous tail wiggle, why beg?

That one line simply destroys any insinuation that he is worried solely about the book. And then there's this:

"You don't have to stay here with me", - yea-yea, surely IT'S THE BOOK which causes him to stare in horror at Stolas, it's not like the crystal is on his hand and he could run away at any moment, right? Right?..
