Hard to articulate this in a respectful way (oh well) but when people say you can’t cast x, y, or z kind of spell especially because of reasons like “you’re impacting their ability to consent” … it reads as not only proud but out of touch with reality and exceptionally neutered magically. You are trying to manipulate things to fit your preferences, visions, and desires, and you’re bringing a shallow interpretation of consent into it because you’re afraid of a power you don’t have. Consent is not the issue. Cast and cast and cast and have the vision and character to recognize when your spell did not achieve what you wanted and you remain in the reality where they do not want you; you do not have what you wished for; to believe everything you cast will land and land exactly as you wanted it to is so proud it is stupid. Painted a flat rock with one side reading "CONNECTION" and the other reading "MOVEMENT," flipped it to movement after I was caught in a period of suffocating connection and egads it works a little too well. Tried psychedelics yesterday & could not escape this feeling that Athena was watching over me and reaching out to me for a solid hour. Just astral travelled & conjured my younger, hurting self as he was getting traumatized. I held him and told him how sorry I am and that I know how bad it hurts. I'm crying so hard but he said he feels better after I told him there will always be more good people to love him, us, and that we just have to find them. He merged with me & my astral body got a new pair of wings (younger me was a green bird but he was glitching). I got a new set of wings. It hurt so much to see myself so confused and hurt but comforting that part of me & accepting him makes me feel so much better. I cannot stop crying it feels so much lighter
