I know this post was about how sinister it would be for Maul to influence her communication style, but I just keep thinking about that "I grow tired of your vaccilations" moment where the teens give Maul twin blank looks, because that's a real deal SAT vocab word, and Rylee is a jock from a fascist/police household, and Devon was homeschooled while being a child soldier. Maul isn't going to stand for any functionally illiterate apprentices or apprentice's boyfriends/minions, he is going to give those kids a bigger working vocabulary as part of their internship with Crimson Dawn if it kills him

as excited as i was for it, this might be the very first episode of x-men 97 i have actual qualms with because morph having to shift into jean to talk logan down and not being able to do it as themself is just. so ooc for logan??? i’m not even talking as someone who would like for them to get together, i’m talking as someone who watched the original series. jean isn’t the center of logan’s world, as much as he doesn’t always show it he does deeply care about his teammates, and he deeply cares about morph. morph’s entire role in the original series is basically just “person who wolverine cares deeply about”. they don’t exactly do a lot else other than be obsessed over by the wolverine. even if logan’s feelings for morph are 100% platonic as opposed to his romantic feelings for jean, morph should be perfectly able to talk him down as morph.

Man I just love everything about Magneto’s last stand. Have so much respect for how he took full responsibility for the plan not working out and lived up to the expectations Charles always had for him by saving everyone. It’s like seeing the fulfilment of decades of character development and it’s so well executed. This episode NEEDED to be as intimate as it was for the ending to hit the way it did, bravo.
