You can call me Snapdragon, (Snap for short), and I’m an adult (19). I’ve also been diagnosed with The Neurodivergence™️ and I am fruity (lucky you).

I like a BUNCH of different things, and use she/they pronouns.

You can talk to me about almost anything, and I’ll probably know a *little bit* about it. So def rant to me about your fixations, hit on me, or tell me random things about your day, it’s all good

Was just thinking about this the other day. Yeah I have a favorite seat on the bus (middle of the bus, near the back doors, slightly elevated, facing forward), but I don’t get upset if someone is already sitting there, I just pick one of my other favorite spots. Then I realized that most people probably don’t have a favorite bus seat, let alone a series of backup favorites.

Fun fact. You can make a soup. Like. With random shit in your fridge. To empty out said fridge with veggies that you bought and only used half of and they’re about to go bad.

Throw in those almost-gone-bad veggies. Go cook those carrots that are slightly limp, the almost-slimy mushrooms. Just throw in roasted garlic and onion and everything will be fine. Chuck in some beans, lentils, potatoes, whatever. Rice, if you want. Add in the chopped broccoli stems and finely dice those carrot tops; don’t waste!! They taste great too.

Add lemon or lime and some ginger for a different flavor profile. Coconut milk, if thats your vibe. Curry seasoning too. Fuck it.

Shred that leftover chicken, toss in the tofu. Wash the stuck-on seasoning if it doesn’t mix well with your soup profile, then add it. Add the last of those frozen dumplings in.

Add some cheese at the end, add a drizzle of olive oil or heavy cream (if there’s no acid like lemon/lime juice). throw it in a blender to make it smooth. Add a cornstarch slurry to thicken it and make it glossy. Add seasonings and whatnot.

who give a shit. Leftover soup. unique and tasty every time.

Did you know?

When someone asks “do you struggle with/have *insert common issue that neurodivergent people have*” (ex. Textures, clothing, food, lights, etc), the answer “no, because I have a *very detailed* solution to that problem” does not make you less neurodivergent?

In fact, it potentially argues for more of it?

unrelated: did you know that ripping off a specific piece of chicken breast to ONLY EAT THAT PART is, in fact, a symptom of being picky about textures, despite “eating everything” and “having a wide taste palette”? And when they ask “do you have a problem with food/textures,” the answer of “no, because I eat everything” does not actually answer the question? Ripping bits off does not count as eating everything.

Because I did not realize that.
