thinking of this super smash brothers story of sorts where we travel back to 2010 (most of xenoblades lore will be disregarded here) and Klaus causes the heat death of the universe then begins the Big Bang where the universe, its wormholes, multiverse, and space wonders start and end with his existence.

This would lead into the actual smash bros story where everyone lives in Smashville (loosely based off of world of lights map and the stage itself) their memories of their home series is sorta wiped with no powers either, but things do parallel each other like how Byleth is still a teacher and Joker is still a phantom thief just without powers.

The town has its secrets like how the Smashville High school has a basement locked away and that there's a secrete base in the towns lake, along with the invisible barrier that keeps everyone inside.

What ends up happening is that once the basement is open the cracks in the world start to show and creatures emerge from the ground. Over the course of the story characters memories will return from their home series, with the added consequence that some of these characters will become major threats.
