It is both a crime and a miracle that i dont have the first story ive ever written.
I was in elementary school. It was my first ocs. And it was a tragic story with no plot.
Damn, ive been thoroughly hooked by my side project.
I have ideas for that one, but most of it really isn't fleshed out. Like... i have a premise, and i have a direction. But i dont have anything in between.
The in between is the hardest part tbh

This is just a thought for an AU im workin on. Im trying to get things straight in my mind.
In Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Bruce stops being Batman because he can never allow what happened to Jason to happen again.
Without Tim there to hold him together bruce realizes he cant go on like this so he stops. No more batman.
About 3 years later....
Stephanie brown takes up a vigilante mantle. The city needs help and she's going to do it.
Bruce can tell that another child has thrown themself into the fight, so he takes up the mantle again. Stephanie becomes Robin.
Cass shows up, becomes black bat.
I dont know enough about why steph fakes her death to decide if she still does...
Jason returns.
Damian becomes robin.
Duke becomes the signal.

Jason todd, post death was transformed into a war machine. He remembers nothing of his past not even his name.
He's given the name Jason by pure chance by his partner.
He returns to gotham, and works solving people's problems in crime ally. Accidentally becoming a crime lord in the process. (Not the red hood)
Tim drake was never robin, his parents discovered his hobby and locked him in a facility in their company. They took his voice and used him as a research subject while parading him around at galas.
He escapes during one of those events, prepared to live on the streets, when he runs into Jason.
Jason, a 6"6' brick wall of a man with a gun for a head.
Jason can tell that this kid, still in his fancy slacks and leather shoes, is nowhere near where he should be.
So he takes the kid and systematically dismantles his parents organization :D
Tim being declared missing because nobody can find him as he was meant to patrol but fell asleep in some part of the manor no one goes too.
My laptop keeps crashing and i have no idea why :)
Lemme just take Tim and Jason and shake em around in a jar full of broken glass.
Sorry boys, the trauma is for the plot. It makes the story more interesting.

Because this 6 foot 6, brick wall of a man, with a GUN for a head, is constantly being told “I thought you’d be taller.”
Well… not CONSTANTLY, but it happens a few times from my memory.
Jason doesn't remember anything pre gun-head. They kept him as a tool in the league. He was an object to be used.
When he finally got away he went to gotham. Something about the place just felt right to him.
He started up a business as a private detective. People started calling him the resolver, and soon he was seen as a crime lord due to his methods.
Hes not going to complain though. As long as hes making his neighborhood a safer place for the people just trying to live.
Even if the majority of the people he strives to protect cant talk to him without stammering in fear.
He still has his people, just a few, that almost treat him like a normal person. Thats all he needs, really.
Hes not surprised when he comes home to his main office/apartment to find Batman standing in the middle of the room. Hes not immune to the "justice system" of the city. It was only a matter of time.
Jason just sighs and enters his apartment, grocery bags in hand. Depositing them unceremoniously on the counter in the small kitchen. Effectively ignoring the bat in the room.
There's a impatient grunt behind him as he begins putting his groceries away.
"Yes i see you, what is it?" Jason calls over his shoulder in a flat tone.
"You're the resolver." The bats voice comes out in a growl.
"Thats what people call me," he sighs, "i didn't exactly choose the name."
Batman hums in response.
Jason groans, closing the fridge, "use your words B, we've been over this."
Timeline??? Honestly i have yet to decide on a timeline.

Damian is a baby, Jason is there and so is Alex.
The gods are actually cosmic horrors.

Tim is half conscious, probably concussed, and tied to a chair.
A person bathed in shadow enters the room. Tim can't really see them, light bouncing around the figure In a rainbow halo.
As they get closer, it becomes very apparent that it's not a person but a cosmic entity barely contained in a human shape.
They have no face. Skin made of stardust and shadow. Wings of light. And a strong.... lavender Smell??
They cuped Tim's cheek in a hand. Tim fights unconsciousness as a thumb rubs his cheek.
He can't sleep now. The joker-
As if reading his mind the entity speaks, voice an amalgamation of hushed tones,
"You can sleep now, my child. Do so while you can."
Tim is unsure if the echoing is because of his concussion or if that's just their voice, "wha-"
They shush him, "Sleep, my son, then we can talk."
The second time wasn't a request, it was a command that Tim could do nothing but obey. And so he fell asleep.
