Honestly? I'm regblogging whatever i feel like. Currently there will be Legends of Avantris things on here, long with the usual Hermitcraft & trafficblr that I’ve been up to the most in the past. Be assured there will be bunch of other things as well from time to time (multifandom n tumblr things in general).
Do not at all feel scared to like or reblog or dive into old, old posts btw, i just think it's fun whenever i see someone take a deep dive in my (mainly) reposts
Tags n other things under the cut:
This is mainly for me to help keep track of things, finding things, but does gives a good idea of the type of stuff you can expect from here too, so ye :p
* Note this is not even close to perfect or anything, but I'm making an attempt at making my blog navigatable somewhat at least xp
given the current climate this pride especially i feel i must mention that i love my trans friends, i stand with trans people in the fight against transphobic legislation and those who would enforce it, and this blog is not a good place for you to be if you do not vibe with that
Non-binary people can't use they/them because they're only one person. Non-binary people can't use it/its because it's dehumanizing. Non-binary people can't use neopronouns because they're too confusing. Non-binary people can't use he/him and/or she/her because that's not gender neutral. Non-binary people can't use no pronouns because that's too hard to use.
No matter what pronouns a non-binary person uses somebody will get mad at them.
Adjusted value of Bees. Now that was a special one… because every item in the game had a minimum value, and a beehive was a container for bees, which each had a minimum value… which meant the moment one of your dwarves picked up a beehive, your entire fortress’ net worth skyrocketed… a value used in determining how powerful the foes that visit and try to murder you are.
Actually I lied it’s the one where after a major update werewolves and vampires started climbing the nearest tree and refusing to come down. It turned out that he’d given evil creatures the ability to sense each other, but forgotten to set a maximum range on it, so werewolves were aware Hell was underground and trying to flee by climbing
"we live in an uncaring universe." sorry the special planet full of beauty and animals and food literally growing out of the ground isnt good enough for you. i guess
ID: A tiktok of a person saying "What's a word you pronounced incorrectly one time and it still haunts you to this day?" Justin Timberlake stitched the video and replied "Umm, me."
being friends with english majors is so fun you'll send a text like hey are you free for brunch and they'll respond with some shit like "haven't the faintest clue, my schedule is utterly fucked"
Pathologizing: Hey sorry I yelled at you. I have this ADHD symptom called RSD that makes me really sensitive.
Humanizing: Hey, I’m sorry that I blew up like that earlier. In the moment I felt really attacked and overwhelmed and I reacted badly, but I know you didn’t mean to offend me with what you said, so that behavior is on me.
Because I just saw a post bitching about this one, I want to add: this post is saying that you need to take accountability for the way you hurt other people, even if it happens because of a symptom of your disability/illness. It's also saying that using terms (especially acronyms) that aren't common knowledge isn't a helpful way to explain yourself. It is NOT saying that you need to let people walk all over you because "your disability isn't an excuse."
If you're diabetic, you don't have to eat the honey glazed ham that will send you into a coma (their example). But you also can't yell at the person offering it and accuse them of trying to kill you. You can just say "thanks, but my body can't handle that kind of sugar intake, so I'll pass"
...The vast majority of diabetics will in fact just say "Oh, no, I'm diabetic." It's easier, less likely to get pushback than some amorphous excuse that could be anything from an actual health condition to fad dieting, and well known. The primary reason the initial example doesn't work is simply lack of education, followed by the double standards for mental vs physical health conditions. Someone who says "Hey, I'm sorry, my RSD got triggered and I need to work on that" is taking just as much accountability for their behaviour as someone who goes into a long explanation of what RSD is. And if people don't know what RSD is, they are capable of (a) asking or (b) looking it up themselves.
