Fan children are only good when it’s in character.

I’m so fucking tired of seeing fan children that are 1, just your own self insert but you happen to be the child of the people they ship.

2, an overpowered kid that is someone’s OC that happens to be the child of the people they ship and has both of their parents respective skills but 10x better.

3, that’s just an OC that happens to be the child of the people they ship but you wouldn’t know that unless it’s stated with OOC dialogue

Like, sometimes fan kids are okay but only when it makes sense and works within the story you’re trying to tell. No one wants to read about some fuck ass baby who is super powerful and cool and strong or whatever.

ON THE TOPIC OF MURDER DRONES

I loved the idea for that show, I genuinely just think it needed maybe another writer, more EPS to flush out the characters, or longer EPS to flush out the characters.

I feel like its biggest flaw is character writing and world building.

Because I feel like we don’t really get to see N being more then Uzi’s tag-along, thus I feel like them getting together and N also getting more time to show off other sides of his character other than being a reformed murder drone were pushed aside to make Uzi more interesting.

(Uzi doesn’t need to be interesting when she has so much going on, and I know they played her having family issues and being the most powerful robot ever as a ongoing joke but like nothing needed to change about that if we made others more interesting as well.)

Looking at V and J, they also get pushed aside and reduced to smaller roles and then just randomly given character development. Thad and Lizzy could have been interesting normal drone characters but we never get to see them outside of jokes. I don’t even know what the fuck was going one with Doll.

I just wish we got to see more of that show instead of them having to cram in a lot of development in a short running season.

I KNEW TADC WAS GONNA BE SUB-PAR!!!!!

As soon as we got to EP 2 I knew this wasn’t gonna end well. I watched both EPS 1 and 2 in the same day for the first time because I saw people online saying how cool and funny Jax was and how if you were a fan of Kokichi Ouma you would be a fan of him.

When I watched EP 1 I thought he was pretty funny, but as soon as I saw EP 2 I knew something was off. He was so annoying to the point where it was just cruel, and I got the feeling that it was only gonna get worse from there.

How horrible of a writer do you need to be to already fuck up a show by EP 2? Like I thought it was gonna be another case of Murder Drones where it had a good idea but it needed better writing and more EPS to be executed in a way that’s fully understandable, and in a way yeah it did end up like that.

BUT AT LEAST MURDER DRONES DIDNT LOOSE THE PLOT.

Genuinely give me a reason why the hell I would care about Jax. Like, for Kokichi it makes sense why you should care for him because it TIES INTO THE PLOT and even if you hate him YOU DONT HAVE TO TALK TO HIM AND HES NOT FORCED DOWN YOUR THROAT.

Apparently Pomni and Ragetha are best buddies but we didn’t get to see any of that because goosworx forced us to watch Jax. Kinger gets pushed to the side and highkey got reduced to a guy who misses his wife because we were too busy looking at Jax. Zooble and Gangle? Who even are they? Idfk I was too busy skipping past every part that Jax was in.

And what’s worse is that he IS a complex character that you don’t really see in media, but it seems that the idea of Jax was too complex for goosworx to fathom, so complex that after all that build up with him he died OFFSCREEN and no one fucking cared.

If you have a fan ship that only works with the original love interest or commonly shipped person having to change character completely and act differently from the original counterpart then maybe that’s not a good ship.

Same thing goes Vice Versa, if you have to change a character to make the ship work then maybe it’s not a good ship.

The idea of loving the chase but hating the goal.

I just saw an edit that said “Ships that are hated and trashed on due to homophobia” and I was like, oh okay yeah I can’t wait to see how like cute these ships are and like yeah spread awareness of this ongoing issue of hating a ship due to homophobia. I was genuinely expecting smaller ships that are commonly brought down, like how many lesbian ships are hated in a community (whole other can of worms).

Tell me why the hell is see BYLAR, BAKUDEKU, AND THE MAIN TWO GUYS FROM HEATED RIVALY.

I understand that these ships probably suffer for their fair share of homophobic remarks but two of these ships literally made it onto the tumbler top 5 shipped list that they came out with. Bakudeku is the number one ship in the MHA community and is still on the rise.

Something I think we all need to understand is that yes, unfortunately every LGTBQ+ relationship will suffer from some form of homophobia, and that is not something that should be tolerated or accepted as basic fact.

BUT. You couldn’t have used ships that are like actually shammed for being apart of that community? The ships that were listed are so popular that I feel like it looses the point of being “hated” (I’m not talking about queerbaiting either or ship battles, I’m talking about genuine hate for being a queer ship).

Again, I know these ships get hate but for the specific point of being hated simply because they are gay gives the impression that they are ONLY hated because of homophobia while that is just not the case. Bakudeku is disliked due to how hyper obsessed fans become when shipping the pair and how it’s normally depicted as out character, Bylar is hated because the show queerbaited Mike and will and was just a general mess when it comes to how they treated will and mikes relationship, heated rivalry is hated because people find it cheesy.

And yes, absolutely lump homophobia into it because it does exist, but what I’m trying to say is that it was a bit ignorant to use those ships as an example of an ongoing issue when those ships are quite literally the ones where homophobic remarks are shunned and ignored.

The ships that were listed are just fine on their own and don’t need any more defense, stand up for smaller queer ships that genuinely get trashed on and don’t have enough people to fight for them.

Okay highkey Tenna is not as evil as everyone says he is.

I’m not saying that he’s not a flawed character, but like he’s not the devil. Yeah he made a very ignorant mistake and is a horrible employer and frankly if he was a real person I would probably hate him. BUT. That thing he did with Spamton was genuinely like just an ignorant mistake that he said that they could face together and like he would stick by Spamtons side.

HIGHKEY if Spamton said that making that contract would like eradicate him from existence than you know damn well Tenna would not be doing that shit, like at all.

He’s a very flawed person but again, he’s not the DEVIL. And honestly you guys just really want him to be like super evil and bad because that’s cooler than just being a lame loser.

Yk because of the rise of Bylar fans I became aware of something that my friend calls “Just because they are gay doesn’t mean they have to get into a relationship”, and I’ve been kinda riding that wave since like the rise of Bylar because I feel like it’s very obvious that Mike is straight and I don’t enjoy the idea of having to put Eleven down so that Will can rise within the fandom.

But then Tales From 85’ came out.

And i genuinely prefer Bylar over whatever they are cooking in that show bro. They remove the friendship that Mike and Will have to be more mean rather than kind, they change Will’s whole character, and they obviously want to cook with Nicky and throw her in as a potential love interest with Will, seeing as how she defends him relentlessly and is obviously being pushed to have more chemistry with Will then Mike had.

I get you wanna reheat the stranger things nachos, but like at this point if you can’t make a show work without soft rewriting a whole character maybe you shouldn’t eat those nachos anymore.
