âDid you clean the table?â Harry asks Louis once Rose is done speaking, now occupied with trying to see if she can reach over and touch Harryâs hair from where sheâs sat. At Louisâ nod, Harry frowns. âYou didnât have to do that. Youâre my guests here, I couldâve dealt with it later.â
Louis just smiles easily, though, adjusting Rose on his lap so that sheâs facing Harry better. She manages to tug on a loose wave of hair, and she makes a noise of triumph that both Louis and Harry smile at.
âI donât mind,â Louis murmurs to Harry, even though heâs looking at Rose. âThis one here seemed very excited to talk to you.â
And, okay. Harry canât help but think of how domestic this feels, all of a sudden.

âLouis can hear every word of warning that Niall gave him tangled up with the sound of his pulse thudding in his ears and he ignores every bit of it. Louis isnât stupid. He knows that what he and Harry are doing has an expiration date, and that they are huge distractions to each other even if Harry doesnât think so, but Louis just canât bring himself to care when they fit together this way. Being with Harry feels a lot like bungee jumping off a cliff or getting up enough courage to get your very first tattoo. The adrenaline is what pushes you to do it even when you know it might be unpleasant. When Louis Tomlinson and Harry Stylesâ lives go to shit they both have the brilliant idea to escape it all and head to Las Vegas for a much needed break from the real world. Itâs not until they wake up the next morning with hazy memories and cheap plastic rings on their fingers that they realize their troubles have only just begun.
When Harry was sixteen, he reached out for someone, anyone, to help him through the hardest days of his life. When Louis was eighteen, he answered. While they didnât know each otherâs names or faces or lives at all, really, it didnât stop them from falling a little bit in love.
And when Harry moves to Manchester for uni two years later, he meets a boy in a bookshop named Louis and wonders why it all feels so easy.
Or: two boys, two blogs, two years of anonymous messages, and a bookshop where it all comes together.
Everybody knows that Louis has never been one for serious boyfriends. His reputation around campus precedes him, which is why he doesnât think twice before proudly telling his mother about his new and completely fabricated relationship with his oddly quiet and completely gorgeous new roommate Harry to shut her up about his lack of commitment. Itâs the perfect lie; a flawless plan, or at least it was until Louisâ ordered to bring his fabulous new boyfriend home.
âSo, I guess weâll go?â Louis asks later, when Harry has calmed down and eaten his weight in Chinese food. He plays with this chopsticks, spearing another piece of chicken and pops it in his mouth. âI mean, I wouldnât mind. We could make it an adventure.â
Harry observes him, watches him seated across from him on their old living room carpet, with a container of food on his lap. Heâs fidgeting, avoiding meeting Harryâs gazeâhe probably knows that Harryâs mad at him for ruining the one chance they had to get out of this situation. And heâs not wrong, Harry is definitely very mad. Harry wants to strangle him and castrate him and smack him upside the head.
But heâs also Harryâs best friend, and despite everything, despite all the fuck-ups and the plot twists and everything just not playing out the way it should, heâd still rather be stuck in this situation with Louis than any of the other boys. Heâs got Harryâs back, and in a weird, abstract way, he knows theyâll be able to get out of this situation, together.
Harry sighs. âWeâre going,â he says resignedly, his shoulders slumping.
Oh well. There are definitely worse ways to spend the weekend than pretending to be engaged to his best friend.

It was a nice thought, and he must have dozed off to it, because the next thing he was aware of was wet and cold.
Harry shot up in the bed. His hair was dripping, soaked curls hanging in front of his eyes. Droplets of water ran down his bare chest. The sheets and blanket were damp.
Louis stood next to the bed with a smug grin. In one hand he was holding an empty glass.
About thirty minutes later, Harry was parked outside the football field. Louis climbed out of the car, duffle bag slung over his shoulder.
He waved at Harry and blew him a kiss as he walked away. Harry flipped him off.

Louis follows Harry, landing on sandy beige paving that frames the pool, a sign to his left about pool safety, and Louis wants to laugh at the irony because he's going to be naked and in a pool with naked Harry and he is going to die.
The water is lit up blue, reflecting the neon lights of the motel, a light mist settling around the far edges from the early morning fog, ripples sending smoothly over the blue tiles at the bottom, and Harry is to his left, already unbuttoning his shirt, and yes, Louis is definitely going to die.
(or: uni au where the boys meet due to an overnight scavenger hunt.)

Ogling hot men is a part of his job that Louis thoroughly enjoys. That is, if the ogling hadnât been reduced to a bare minimum the second DJ Harry Styles set foot into Funky Payno and ruined every other man for Louis, ever.
Or: Louis is a bartender and Harry is a DJ in a club in Barcelona. All they really need to do is get their shit together. Of course, thatâs not what happens.

This is the third game in a row that Harry has been distracted by the noisy boy in the stands, five rows back.
Thereâs really no reason that he should feel compelled to stare into the audience as frequently as he is, but he canât help it. This boy is a nuisance. And heâs loud. Even from basketball court with nine other players running by him, shoes squeaking on the shiny hardwood floor, and thousands of cheering college students, Harry can hear this boy nearly shrieking, his laugh more like a cackle than anything.
Itâs seriously obnoxious.

Louis accidentally sends an unknown number a video of him giving a cockroach a funeral. The weirdest love story ensues.

A college/uni fic. Harry has been working on a mural and has been struggling to find the right shade of blue. Until he meets Louis. (Essentially, a very silly take on what could have otherwise been an incredibly romantic tale!)

Louis was fucked was the thing. And if he wasnât currently in the situation he was in, heâd laugh at the irony of that statement.
Louis gets into a bit of a predicament and has to go to the hospital. Harry is the doctor in charge of his care. Based on the prompt I saw on tumblr about Louis getting a sex toy stuck inside of him, and Harry being the doctor who has to remove it.
7. IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT by hazkaban (8k)
