long story short, while I was still in Alola, I thought I ran into an ultra wormhole when it was a space/time distortion. how do I know the difference? UWs send you to an alternate dimension and back, whereas distortions bring things into the past. I still have some of my pokemon from Alola and Hoenn, just… none of my legendaries.
but the people here seem nice- I think I recognize the local professor from some history books, but I’m not too sure.

In this canon, Aria takes May’s place as Brendan’s rival, due to May’s family never moving to Hoenn. After becoming champion and catching Hoenn’s legendary trio (and an alien), Aria gets bored and decided to explore another region (Alola). She became a member of Team Skull before it disbanded, and after it disbanded, she found a Space/Time Distortion and ended up in Hisui.
While this blog is mostly gen, it's definitely more on the pg-13 side. There will be swearing, adult humor, and occasional innuendos. If this makes you uncomfortable, feel free to block, I promise I won't get offended!
Follows ORAS and SM canon, USUM will be mostly disregarded.
Also, while anyone is welcome to interact, I generally prefer human characters over sentient pokemon. This blog follows the canon that pokemon are only slightly more sapient than animals, and Aria will assume any pokemon-run blogs are just kids RPing, and might play along.
your statement on rich kids getting rare starters made me make this, bug catchers, lasses, and youngsters, are really gym leaders to be and ace trainers that haven't gotten old yet
hey, is it possible for a high friendship evolution to just happen out in the wild? or is any high friendship evolution encountered in the wild one that was released by a trainer?
plenty of friendship-evolved pokémon are out in the wild. its just that their friends are other pokémon

tbh yes and more people should be clear like this. like anyone can have whatever pokémon they can take care of and thats all fine and dandy but i could never be with a dragon trainer imo. my ass is not dealing with a dragon rage user

i entirely lost the plot while planning a response to a question and ended up on a sidetrack about the most recent common ancestor of the fox pokemon (genus Vulpes). Vulpes are the true foxes, though some other pokemon (like eevee) are colloquially called foxes they aren’t as closely related to these guys. this tree is based on what we know from genetic evidence of the surviving members of the genus!
this little guy is Vulpes cinus, the earliest-known fox pokemon we’ve found, from 8 or so million years ago. it’s only known from skeletal remains and we don’t have enough material to revive it like some other fossil pokemon, so this reconstruction is entirely hypothetical! we do know that it was most likely a fire type based on its bones, though.
