ok kids repeat after me
vinegar and bleach makes chlorine gas, which is highly toxic
ammonia and bleach makes chloramine, which is highly toxic
rubbing alcohol and bleach makes chloroform, which is highly toxic
hydrogen peroxide and vinegar makes peracetic/peroxyacetic acid, which can be highly corrosive
be careful about your cleaning products and dont get yourself injured or potentially killed ok
why it so dangerous to be clean
As someone who’s job is to handle chemicals like this, I need to state that this information is IMPORTANT. Plenty of people have accidentally injured or killed themselves at home because they didn’t know what kind of reaction certain substances have with one another. Play it safe and don’t mix chemicals.
Also don’t use bleach to clean up urine it’ll create chloramine bc of the ammonia in it and you can give yourself chemical pnemonia that way
Every time I see “helpful” posts telling people to mix these things while cleaning I cringe with my entire body.

THIS ONE FUCKING WORKS. REBLOG IT.

Returning
So I kind of only posted on here during COVID semesters in college cuz I desperately needed organization in my academics, but since returning to in-person classes, I have become more involved with clubs and friends. I joined the Sailing Team and learned how to sail dinghy boats and raced in a couple intercollegiate regattas. It was a fun experience.
I also graduated in May 2023 lol and got a bachelor's in mathematics and a minor in Russian Studies and Filmmaking.
I decided to return to this platform to post more detailed recounts of my life? There are just some things I do not know how to or want to post on Instagram or TikTok but still want to share. Like random things e.g. rankings and reviews of all the ice creams I had when I went to Hokkaido, Japan in Nov., some travel recs, personal life updates, book reviews, etc.
I don't necessarily want to push whatever I decide to post for everyone to see, hence I'm not on Tiktok. I'm just kind of using this as a way to get myself to record and reflect :) cuz I'm not in school anymore.
study blog?
i want to keep track of my studies better, and i feel like starting a study blog could be helpful. I’m kind of terrible with diaries, but maybe this would work better for me since it’s public?
so, hello, I’m A. I’m currently 20, sophomore (second year) in college, math major + declaring filmmaking minor soon, doing remote/online with a 12-hour time difference.
currently i’m taking:
Philosophy 112: Technology and Modern Life
Russian Literature 142: Culture and Revolution
Mathematics 200: Logic, Language, and Proof
Music 103: Intro to Music and the Cinema
Russian 312: Conversation and Compostion
Film 102: Intro to Film Composition
I’m taking so many intro classes this semester to boost my GPA a little and because doing remote is hard with time difference so I’d rather take some easier classes than get stressed tf out.
currently i’m struggling with:
turning Russian homework (especially speaking assignments) in on time
just that math class in general :( i just don’t really know how to answer the questions correctly
paying attention in easier classes like music
doing assignments early/procrastinating
I’m still deciding whether I should expand this into my interests outside of school. DMs, inbox, and comments are always open for suggestions, questions, and experiences :)))
I'm SO SORRY!!! I guess I kind of forgot about this blog and got really busy with school since I'm back on campus.
I will update y'all:
junior now, mathematics major, russian minor & filmmaking minor.
currently taking:
Mathematics 200 (yes retaking): Logic, Language, and Proof
Russian 411: Advanced Russian I
Film 101: Intro to Filmmaking
Film 301: Filmmaker's Toolbox
Mathematics 319: Foundations of Analysis
currently struggling with:
procrastinating on Russian assignments
understanding math 319 and how to write proofs
time-managements between club activities, personal time, and academics
staying focus and begining to study
I can't promise that I'll update regularly but I will try. I feel like a year of being home with few friends, I've really just chose socializing over studying a lot of the times this semester and it is not good. While I've met many people and made friends and joined on club activities, I've been lacking in my studies. I'm kind of burnt out in terms that I just don't want to study. I find it so hard to begin.
Wasting time.
Aka. I just wanted to draw kitty cat.
#pascalcampion
The cat’s right though
[Image description: an eight-panel, vertical comic of a cat stretching and rolling on the floor. The cat is mostly black, but the end of its tail and one of its ears is gray.
Off-panel, someone says, “You should really stop wasting your time like this. Do something.”
Over the next five panels, the cat says, “I am not wasting time. I don’t own time. I don’t gain any time by doing something. I use just as much time doing something as I do while doing nothing. I am not wasting time. I am enjoying it.”
The off-panel voice replies, “I am not sure that’s how it works, kitty cat.”
The cat responds, “I am sure you should stop wasting your energy on my time, manly man.” /End ID.]
Ahh *sips coffee* another day of posting art no one will see. This is my girlfriend’s cat, salem. He fluffy.
“We often have to explain to young people why study is useful. It’s pointless telling them that it’s for the sake of knowledge, if they don’t care about knowledge. Nor is there any point in telling them that an educated person gets through life better than an ignoramus, because they can always point to some genius who, from their standpoint, leads a wretched life. And so the only answer is that the exercise of knowledge creates relationships, continuity, and emotional attachments. It introduces us to parents other than our biological ones. It allows us to live longer, because we don’t just remember our own life but also those of others. It creates an unbroken thread that runs from our adolescence (and sometimes from infancy) to the present day. And all this is very beautiful.”
Umberto Eco (1932 - 2016, RIP)
i am so determined to fall more in love with life. intentionally romanticising the walks i am on, the birds chirping, the blooming nature around me, the water in my cup of tea turning from a light peach tone to a dark pink, the poetry i write, the things i am learning, my handwriting, dozing off while sitting in front of my window, all of it and more. I have to take a closer look at the little things that make my heart beat faster.
to all struggling language learners out there: keep going!! you are smarter and stronger than you know, just keep on studying and loving culture, and you will achieve all of your goals!
