i still canât get over garcia straight-up marking her territory in santosâ apartment while everyoneâs just nodding along to her saying it's casual.
yâall, she played every single one of you.
she makes it crystal clear to anyone stepping into santosâ bathroom that thereâs already a woman in her life. like two toothbrushes, separate skincare for different skin types, totally different hair kits and etc.
touches your shoulder gently hey donât cry. hockey player trinity santos wearing a compression shirt and a pair of low rise baggy basketball shorts to gym workouts. okay?
Can I just say that one of the most underrated and funniest moments of the fic is when Garcia waits until sheâs opening the door for santos to tease her about the âaccidentally calling your girlfriend baby in front of all your coworkersâ incident đ
I always picture Garcia with a big shit eating grin, and the fact that she WAITED for the perfect moment to tease her is so funny
Spoilers below for Kiss Me Goodbye
Hahaha I love when Garcia's being a little shit. No doubt she had a fat grin on, and she absolutely was biding her time for the perfect moment, and then seized it
Acting isn't practicing medicine, but for 'The Pitt's' Isa Briones, Supriya Ganesh and Sepideh Moafi, the challenges women of color face in
On Sexism in Healthcare, the Entertainment Industry, and The Pitt
â'The [hospital] system feels like itâs 15, 20 years behind other industries,' says Sepideh Moafi ... 'There is still this older culture of a boundaryless style of work where thereâs a lack of understanding and compassion,' with respect to pregnancy and childcare, for working women ...
'We have a female, half-Asian doctor on our set who consistently says that people talk to the nurse in the room if theyâre a white man instead of her,' adds Supriya Ganesh ...
Nor is the series reluctant to show the other side of the dynamic, as doctors Robinavitch and Langdon lash out against their colleagues in lieu of acknowledging their own flaws ...
'The entertainment business constantly feels like a boysâ club that you cannot penetrate no matter what you do, because itâs still always going to be these older white men who are making all the decisions,' [Isa Briones] says. 'Thatâs why seeing the storyline with Langdon and Robby informed my performance so much, because I know this feeling of being like, Why the fâ are these men fist-bumping each other? Iâm also here! Iâm doing my job too!'
On Showcasing Linguistic Diversity
'Language shapes who you are, how you see the world,' Moafi says... 'Language connects you to different registers in the body. The rhythms are different, and the emotional access is more immediate' ...
Briones advocated for the [Hiligaynon lullaby] scene not to have subtitles: 'It should be just this quiet moment that you donât have to understand the language to understand, but also itâs a great moment for people who do speak it to feel that little secret joy' ...
[Ganesh] chose to infuse her own heritage into the character, who uses Tamil as a way to feel connected to her late father. 'She chooses to speak it with her mom, because maybe thatâs the only other person she has in her life who she can speak it to,' [she] explains ...
That part of Indian American culture will be lost next season, with Ganesh officially departing at the end of Season 2.
On Supriya Mohan Being Written Off
[Ganesh] reiterates that the 'creative decision' to write Mohan off was made by executive producers Gemmill, Wyle, and John Wells: 'They work with such intention on the show and make all the choices that they make for that reason, so I think itâs better to ask them for answers.'
'Itâs been so great just getting all the love from the fans. I feel sad for them, too, that they wonât get to see this character.'
For her part, Moafi believes that Dr. Mohan will be remembered for the way 'she wonât compromise humanity in how she delivers care. The power of strength comes from vulnerability, and in order to go fast, you have to slow down,' she adds. 'Thatâs something that is so ingrained in us, as women.'â
One of my favorite interactions in all of KMG is garcias dad teasing her calling santos ms instead of doctor. I love how how playfully her parents tease each other, like âNo, no. Solo mi otro marido.â
between trinity and yolanda, who do you think teases/ragebaits the other more?
Spoilers below for Kiss Me Goodbye
Ah, I loved figuring out who Garcia's parents were, and it felt sooo fitting for them to have this playful flair that Garcia then emulates in many of her relationships. And I really believe that couples who riff together, stay together! Being able to tease your partner and get teased in return just helps keep things fun and flirty hahah
For Garsantos, I'd probably say that Santos is more likely to start shit, while Garcia finishes it. But, the opposite def happens pretty frequently too, so it's a close call for sure
Walsh: Why do you look like that?
Garcia, lying face down on the floor: Like what?
Walsh: Like youâre dead.
Garcia: Itâs because Iâm dying. Leave me here to perish.
Ellis: Garcia accidentally called Santos âbabeâ in front of everyone today.
[Garcia sobs into the floor]
trinity definitely has her moments of putting her foot in her mouth
was there any moments where Yolanda regrets her words having a little too much bite when talking to trinity? during their hook up stage? the not causal fucking? break up? when they were on vacation?
Spoilers below for Kiss Me Goodbye
Oh, totally. As Eddie explains, I think Garcia holds people to high standards, and that definitely includes herself. So she often regrets moments where she acts too sharpâeven when Santos provokes her, because in her mind, she should be able to rise above it anyway
I'm sure someone has said this before but along with the incredible characterization and writing, the smut in KMG is đ¤đ¤đ¤ chefs kiss. just want to know what took over Garcia to decide to fuck Santos in her car, that was so hot
Spoilers below for Kiss Me Goodbye
Well thank you, wrote it myself đŞ (And then ran it by my sorta-beta readerâaka my partnerâto see what she thought, and yeah, she likes those scenes a lot too hahah)
And Iâm not 100% certain, but Iâm pretty sure Garcia was pent up most of the day, and then what released the horny-valve was Santosâ singing. Before the song was even done, Garcia was forming a plan to pull that car over asap lmao
Iâm thinking about Ellis and Walsh watching Dr Garcia, the mean bossy lesbian who terrifies most residents at PTMC and has an absolutely insane RBFâŚ
absolutely fold like a lawn chair whenever trinity smiles at her
I know they donât give her a MOMENT of rest about how down bad she is for the snarky r2
