Why don’t humans hibernate?
Because we sadly didn't evolve for it to be acceptable to nap for a few months at a time. Students everywhere must now only waste a few hours a week napping to make up for the lack of hibernation.

What if Neanderthals had feathers?
We would have more ancient treehouses.
Are lizards dragons to ants??!!!?
Lizards would most likely be considered dinosaurs to ants because of their lack of wings. If the lizard had an angel costume on, it would then be considered a dragon to ants.
can you guys help find my oil paints please?
Swing a necklace around and blindly search. Pseudoscience and luck are on your side.
Are being an introvert and having good hearing correlated? I mean I doubt whether or not you have good hearing dictates whether or not you’re an introvert l, but I’ll bet there is a significant overlap of the two.
There may be a correlation for most, but my ear canals are tiny and shitty even though I am a solid hermit.

Dear Science and LGBT+ tumblr,
If, being polite, you call a woman “ma’am” or a man “sir” What do you call someone who’s neither/both?
As someone who gets both sir & ma'am because I confuse many cashiers... I think the best solution is to skip the formal addresses entirely if you don't know someone's preference.

Hey science side of Tumblr, please explain why when I’ve had blood in my mouth, icing sugar creates a cursed-death-tier flavour when I eat it. Like vomit but sooooooo much worse.
Blood = metallic taste and metal makes anything taste like death incarnate
Send me an ask and I promise to disappoint you each and every time

What causes nosebleeds?
So there’s a lot of membranes in your nose. The two most common reasons are when you breath they kinda dry out and that will cause them to bleed, or you jab em with your finger by accident when you’re picking your nose
Or when you get punched... that is another reason
Why are there no green clouds?
Green clouds occur for a couple different reasons. Some clouds appear green because they reflect the color of large amounts of vegetation from the ground in areas where there may be cornfields (i.e.: common in areas where tornados coincidentally occur w/ green clouds) or dense forests. When the sky takes on a more red/yellow hue (typically around sunrise or sunset) storm clouds may be likely to form green. If there is enough water in the storm that is lit up by yellow-reddish sunlight, the red will be absorbed and the cloud will display a green color.
Additionally, green is the shit.
Science side of tumblr pls explain why Jenna Joseph is so fucking drop dead gorgeous
This is Ernesto Labuntog, an inventor from the Philippines who has invented a water filtration system that can make floodwater potable in 30 minutes. Despite having demonstrated his invention to the MMDA (Metro Manila Development Authority), and despite entering his invention to IdeaSpace, he has not yet received enough exposure and backing for his revolutionary technology that could make clean water more accessible. For a family of six, this technology can last for as long as three years!
To learn more about his water filtration device, you can watch these videos:
