I haven’t posted on my Tumblr in a while so here’s something to get me back in to it.  I photographed Fabio Pinca V Reece Mcallister at the weekend on the always amazing Main Event show in the UK.  Reece started the fight strong, edging the first couple of rounds and certainly out working the Frenchman, however in round three, PInca turned on the gas eventually cutting Reece with an elbow right above where I was standing.... from then on Pinca kept those scoring shots flowing and even though Mcallister was never out of the fight eventually won the fight comfortably on points in the end.  Some amazing skills from both!

It's taken me a while to get a perfect headshot like this, but I finally got one, last night on The Main Event show in the UK.  Brad Stanton here in the white shorts lands a perfect high kick to the head of his Dutch opponent, Frederico Alfaro!

One of my favourite young fighters here, Macauley Coyle had to fight hard against Andy Hughes on Fighting Machines 10 UK to gain the points win.

I was lucky enough to be asked to shoot for Yokkao on their big UK show on Saturday and was witness to an amazing fight between Liam Harrison (UK) and Houcine Bennoui (France). 

Benoui had Harrison down for an eight count in the second round, catching the man from Leeds with a clean punch, but Harrison got up, survived the round and came out strong, fighting hard and clawing his way back in the third and fourth rounds, despite Benoui's strong attacks. The fifth was tit-for-tat with both fighters believing they had done enough, celebrating between exchanges, but it was Harrison who got the nod of the judges in a very close and very interesting fight.

A shot I got from the opening fight of the amazing Main Event Muay Thai show in Manchester, UK on Saturday night.  Tyler Liptrott here high kicking against Myk Estlik.

I had the pleasure of sparring with Tyler a couple of weeks before this show - he's a very strong and talented young fighter, already years ahead of his game.  He's going to be one of the big names in the sport if he carries on the way he is.

Two of the UK's finest Muay Thai boxers stood side-by-side at the opening of the fantastic new Black Widow Martial Arts centre in West Bromwich.

Harrison & Thomas could eventually meet in the ring... both massive punchers! Great guys, the pair of them, but when that happens, I would hope to be there to capture the whole thing.

Scotsman Linzie Beaty jumps in with a flying knee on local lad Sean Perry at the Majestic show in Wigan, UK on Sunday 19th May 2013. Ultimately Perry's body shots were too much for Beatie and the fight was stopped in the second round Perry claiming the spoils.

I actually got three decent flying knee shots all night at this show - This one is my favourite, so I'm making it a Tumblr exclusive, you lucky lot.

Epps stops Egan in the second round. Nathan Epps won in great style dropping Mike Egan in the second round with a beautifully timed head kick then finishing him off once he’d beaten the 8 count. Mike put up a good performance landing with kicks and the occasional haye maker but Nathan showed he can adapt well to different styles and eventually broke his man down.

Josh Turbil V Ste Long at the Robin Park Hall - Wigan. 

Immense fight.

I was so excited when I saw this shot on my big screen... so many elements combined to make a great image. It's nice and sharp; both boxers are doing something positive, good kick, good block; The sponsor's logo is nice and central on the corner post; everything looks super dramatic, with the blood on Long's face etc; and as a bonus, I even got the promoter in shot!

Chris Whittle from Frank's Gym (Manchester) was throwing some awesome left high kicks in his fight against Karl Elsworth (Carlisle) on the Fighting machine's show at Robin Park Hall, Wigan. He only needed to aim them slightly lower.... most of them were bouncing off the top of Karl's head. Karl was very fortunate - any one of those landing on the chin would have been a definite K.O.

A blast from the past here as Dutch superstar Neiky Holtzken takes on the UK's Daniel Hudson in Manchester back in 2005! 

Holtzken was explosive from the start and the two shows I photographed him in action back then it was immediately apparent he'd go on to do big things in Muay Thai and K-1 style Kickboxing!

It's been a while since I posted any ring girl pictures on this Tumblr, but I think this one is worth a place on here. Cassie looks awesome here holding up the Union Jack flag at a show where a British Muay Thai team took on a team from Italy at Gatecrasher in Birmingham.

I love the facial expression on the guy's who's being kicked. He eventually won the fight! Easily my favourite shot from the night.
