What is Parthenogenesis?

The process of getting oneself pregnant without the help of someone else, literally means "virgin creation," aka virgin birth. Asexual reproduction. Has been seen pop up in female reptiles, for example, after years/an entire life spend with no male in captivity, but with a batch of fertilized eggs showing up anyway.

The babies are 99,9% the mom with no other DNA present, so basically a clone. And always the sex of the mother.

Kind of like what the Eruptodon could potentially have going on as a fantasy creature with no mentioned partner by Mala or Throk but with his "once in a lifetime" egg showing up anyway.
