"Cause we know that Vox is fucking crazy when he isn't happy." Angel answered. Vox was crazy no matter what, but that much could at least go unsaid. "What if he gets bored and decides he wants to handle it by ruining my fucking life, which includes all of you? It's fucking selfish for me to stay here and put the whole place in danger just to piss off an egomaniac." And to make himself happy, maybe, if that was something Angel was still capable of, but he'd rather not linger too hard on something he couldn't have. "Hey, I guess that's probably the one fucking benefit to being dead. As long as we don't get our shit like perma-rocked we have plenty of time to figure this shit out." Angel said, his first real attempt at trying to sound optimistic. He wasn't sure he felt confident he would ever really manage to get free, but he could at least believe that he'd have years and years to try and fix his shit, and as long as Husk didn't go and do anything fucking idiotic he'd still be around if Angel ever managed to make it out. He wasn't going to ask the bartender to wait for him or any crazy bullshit, but it was a little reassuring, to think that it was possible. Angel knew he should say no, but he really only lingered on that thought for a few seconds before giving in. "Sure, five minutes. Whatever you want for five minutes, a drink, a dance, whatever." He trusted Husk enough not to take those words as an opening to suddenly grab him or anything.
"Yeah, he is, but I still think it'll be worth it. If we could figure out our defenses more. Maybe it is selfish, but I'm selfish too cause I don't care what the cost is to have you here. To know you're safe." He says taking a pause to just look at their hands as he listens to Angel before looking back up again. Angel's comment about already being dead made Husk chuckle. "We do have time to figure it out. That's not what I'm worried about. I'm..." He stops himself from saying what was truly worrying him most about this plan. Angel didn't have to ask Husk to wait for him; it was already guaranteed. The bartender nods. "Thank you. It's not our last chance, but the way shit happens around here so quick, I don't want to regret not asking." It was so hard for Husk to let go. He gives Angel's hand a soft squeeze before letting go. I'll get stuff ready and pack up some extra nuts for Nuggets while you're up there. We're going to figure this shit out, Legs."
