They for sure practiced kissing back in highschool when they would look at the stars on the ceiling in Asta's bedroom and they told themselves it was fine because they were high

When Asta came to help D'arcy after her accident Asta had to argue with Jimmy to let her go to help her best friend when she needed her. (D'arcy really hoped that Asta was going to stay in patience that time)

D'arcy & Asta thoughts (ramblings)

Asta and D'arcy have such an amazing friendship that I'm almost glad they didn't make it canon. Like I would kill for a female friendship that strong so I'm kinda glad it stayed that way. They're so supportive yet also brutally honest with each other, the way they don't let the other get away with their bullshit.

This is the first show I've watched in a long time where I don't feel like I was intentionally queerbaited. Like yes they did couple-y things but nothing that is crazy for a close friendship. The way they mentioned the ship name "D'asta" in the finale to me, didn't feel like a meh throw the gays a bone. It felt like a nod of understanding and acknowledgment to the people who shipped them as a strong friendship and as more. I dunno, I also just started watching the show this year so I didn't have to go through the week by week in the fandom to truly know what it was like but that's just the vibes I got.

So I've become completely hyperfixated on these two for the past couple weeks since I binge watched Resident Alien over the weekend... I can't believe there isn't more of a fanbase on tumblr for them! Like I get that they aren't canon but even just for the fact that their friendship alone is something I haven't seen on screen in forever. Although by the end of season three I was yelling at my tv for them to just give up on men already ngl.
