i really im absolutely astounded at the phenomenal job that MIB did not to be racist against aliens, despite being a movie about secret agents chasing evil aliens. that scene where jay helps an alien mother to give birth is probably one of the most humanizing moments for an Other ive seen in a movie ever.

The movie has a real love for NYC and immigrant culture as a part of that. The opening scene where K welcomes the undocumented immigrants to the United States. One alien greets another and says he's ordered him pierogi. A lot of them are refugees from their home worlds who just want to survive.

Bad Bunny did half of the music video for “Yo Perreo Sola” in drag. And I cannot emphasize how much the genre is saturated with machismo bullshit and Bad Bunny just refuses to participate in it.

His video for “Caro” is also a celebration of breaking gender norms. Most of the video is performed by Jazmyne Joy as Bad Bunny.

Like I fully understand if you don’t normally listen to reggaeton or Latino music in general. But I cannot express to you how huge and popular he is. He is the highest streaming artist worldwide right now. He’s largely adored by every young Latino out there. He’s having a great time and doing amazing things.

It's black history month in the UK, but no child I know of has been taught about black queer history.

So join me in learning about it.

Learn about Pearl Alcock who set up the only gay bar in brixton at the time as a refuge for black gay men.

Ted Brown one of the organisers of the first UK pride rallys in 1974

Justin Fashanu the first openly gay footballer in 1990.

The fact that the UK GLF was inspired by the black panthers revolutionary convention in 1970.

Or Ivor Cummings "the gay father of the windrush generation"

How many more generations will be denied Black queer history before we take action?

When we understand that our history is diverse, it changes our outlook. I hope that this Black History Month, we all take the time to uncove

Also like, homeless people's ability to make choices about their life isn't worse than yours. There's a reason why alcohol is often something people chose to buy and it isn't just 'addiction'.

A big part of the experience of being homeless is being cold, being in pain (because being homeless is hard on your body) and being incredibly bored because days are looooong when you're not welcome anywhere. Alcohol makes all three things more bearable.
