It seems that tennelle flowers has come out with a statement saying that he's going to unfollow sagutoyas but still insists on taking a "neutral" stance against a predator. Sorry but that doesn't make up for all the shit he said to people who were rightfully angry about him supporting a groomer (and he can say what he wants, but we all saw what he did, it was support whether he wants to admit it or not) he's not even unfollowing her because he's realized the dangers of allowing a groomer back into a community full of minors, he's just doing it to avoid bad publicity. and he's still friends with some of sagutoyas' support group, namely her gf aspenshadow who denies the allegations & threatened sally's victim with legal action. On top of all this, he decided to bring tusofsky into this mess, claiming that he was only acting in tus' good will by showing grace to one of her friends who turned out to be a groomer. Tus was a beloved member of the warriors community, but she's dead now, and it's disgusting to bring her into this & act like she would've also supported a groomer when she can't even speak for herself anymore. I'm not accepting tennelle's statement. I don't really know what he can do to redeem himself in my eyes, but it's going to take a lot more than a statement that victimizes himself and one "sorry" to cut it

As someone who does not care one bit about proship/antiship discourse: There is a big, huge, massive, gargantuan difference between “not babysitting children online” (an argument meant to be used against anti rhetoric concerning problematic fanfiction or art) and publicly supporting someone who groomed a child. This is not a situation of TennelleFlowers creating fanfiction or art that someone found problematic. It is a situation where a real child in the real world got groomed and he is welcoming the groomer back with open arms.

Indirectly comparing something that actually happened to a real person to something as like pro/antiship discourse and talking points as he has done further proves how disgusting TenelleFlowers is. It shows that he does not care about the victim at all and thinks that the real traumatic experience they went through is not any different than something from a story. It also is showing how far he is reaching to justify welcoming Sagutoyas back into the public eye, which is very very suspicious. Do not trust TennelleFlowers, I mean it when I say I suspect there is something more sinister going on here.

For clarity: I am not accusing TennelleFlowers of currently being a predator himself or attempting to start a rumor that he is one. I am saying that it is incredibly suspicious that he is bending over backwards to defend a known predator and that he is untrustworthy because of that, if that makes sense.

Heyo! I actually wasn't aware something happened with tennelle! Could you explain or link resources? I used to enjoy their content so I was curious.

So basically Sagutoyas has recently returned to her accounts after a period of absence. This period of absence was because she got outed as a groomer. She never has publicly apologised for it as far as I’m aware, she just left the internet for a while. A video on what sagutoyas did with links to proof in the description can be found here.

So now after a period of about 2 years she’s returned to her socials basically saying sorry for the absence and she’s back now. People noticed that Tenelle Flowers was among the people to like her return post. When pressed on it on a patreon discord server, Tenelle gave a response. The full thing can be seen here but this I think is the most important paragraph

Snap is referring to Snapdragon, who also liked Sally’s return post and even commented a “welcome back” comment.

Again I need to emphasise that Sagutoyas has shown absolutely zero remorse publicly as far as I’m aware about grooming a minor over a period for about a couple of years. I remember at the time her posting something on discord admitting it just before she dipped from the internet but no apology there either. So how tenelle can say he’s so sure she’s not going to offend again? Who knows. Also I want to highlight the use of calling what Sagutoyas did as a “mistake” when she was “barely an adult” as a very manipulative way to downplay what Sagutoyas did. I have discussed this quite extensively on my blog so look through my recent posts for my full thoughts on this, but to summarise for you I’m disgusted and furious at this response.

Also it gets worse. Somehow.

So as you can see in this post here and its reply, when the people running this discord server found out about this “justification” being “leaked”, they weren’t happy. And specifically changed the rules of the server just to ban the person who “leaked” this response. So if you wanna see Tenelle defend a groomer you gotta pay him first.

I don’t believe Tenelle has put this statement or addressed it on any of his socials. In fact he is even deleting comments from his latest YouTube video calling him out on his statement.

I sadly didn’t screenshot any comments while they were up but thank you @fenceclan who did.

I do remember at one point about seven comments there at once but they were all purged by Tenelle. Again, I unfortunately don’t have proof of this.

And like, I'm not gonna say there aren't awful influencer apologies because there definitely are, but even if they do take time and write out a thoughtful apology (or, if not that, just an explanation of where they're coming from), it's only ever more fuel on the fire. I have never seen anyone in The Discourse accept any response that isn't either the ego death of deleting any trace of their internet presence (especially if it is their means of survival), or actual suicide. And plenty will outright say that's what they want, too.

But they're definitely the good guys, trust.
