I’ve noticed a baffling phenomenon where to combat the nuclear family “we’re all brothers and sisters and we love each other!” Batfanon, people try and go the opposite direction and say they don’t think of each other as family AT ALL and like????? Sure there’s a large found family aspect for characters like Steph, Duke, and Babs, but a good portion of them are LEGALLY RELATED???? And consistently call each other family.

Maybe let’s… not invalidate adoptive families to combat fanon we don’t like?

The first time Harvey sees Jason as Red Hood without the helmet, he has to leave. He just. Walks out. Because he looks at Jason and sees Willis. He sees the man he knew, who he was fond of, who when he thinks about it when he’s alone at night, he may have loved.

But not only does he see Willis, but he remembers how little Jason used to be. He remembers the little boy he met that would hide behind Willis’ leg, the kid who would call him “Uncle Harvey.” And he remembers Robin too. He remembers seeing the new bird and realizing just who it was. He remembers the accusation that he killed Willis. That was how he found out Willis was dead.

And he knows Jason remembers it too.

•One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon — 1) he reconciled with Dick properly, and they had a more flashback to their time in the circus together or 2) you know. him not dying. (or if he does, he should haunt dick’s hallucinations like how jaybin did)
