“A small world, then.” At the very least, the change on her face seemed to indicate that she was happy to see him. That actually made him happy in turn. If she was just passing through, it made him wonder…
“Does that mean, perhaps, you’re here to give the Alolan challenges a go? Or perhaps, you’re more interested in a new league? Ha….” He tucked his hands into each sleeve, giving her a small nod. “Why, I may be a part of the League, but I am only human. I needed a vacation! And what better place to do it than this wonderful new place, hm? As for the rest of the league, nothing major to report. Everyone is pretty much the same as ever, behaving as friends do. Hiding Marshal’s shoes, tricking Shauntal into thinking she’d written the same sentence multiple times…I’m sure there have been attempts to draw things on Caitlin’s face while she’s sleeping, but I also wouldn’t be surprised if that didn’t go so well. You know, her being who she is.

It was good to know that nothing had changed too much while she’d been gone. “That’s good to hear, I’ll have to stop by and say hello to everyone else!” Hopefully whoever might’ve drawn on Caitlin’s face is still around to tell about it.
What has she been doing? Seems like she’s just been all over the place, not really doing much interesting stuff.
“I’ve been keeping myself busy, getting into trouble,” A quick laugh. “I was in Johto for a while, seeing the sights they had there but then I got a message that Alola was the place to be so now I’m just here. I’m not sure about doing the Island Challenges yet, still looking around the region. Doubt it’ll beat good old gym battles like in Unova. Have you attempted any of them, yourself? I heard they’re pretty different!”

Another beautiful day in paradise. It felt as though the fresh air and sunshine were doing wonders, and it was as though all the stress in Unova was miles away.
Then, a familiar voice.
His head jerked over to look, his own blue eyes widening when he spotted the person that had called out to him. How could he forget that remarkable young woman that had come to the League those years ago? Seems she hadn’t changed that much at all!
“My, my, look who it is! I guess this really is the hot spot for a getaway. Feels like it’s been ages…and yet, we run into each other here. How interesting!” He was hiding his surprise behind his usual attitude. In truth, he was quite happy and stunned to see her here. It was always a good thing, to see how trainers had grown and changed after a while, and this one was exceptional. She had, after all, beaten the League.
Man, when was the last time she’d seen Grimsley? When she challenged him? When the League showed up to help take down Plasma with her? That was ages ago, has she even heard about him in the news lately?
Of course, she hasn’t. Touko probably would’ve known he was in Alola if she had.
“Wow, I guess it has been a while! I’m not on vacation- I’m really just passing through... but what are you doing here, don’t you have a League to be attending to?” The two regions were pretty far away, it was almost painful to think about how long it took the ship that Touko was on to bring her to the tropical region. “How’s the rest of the group doing?”

“I’d actually been planning on picking Oshawott as my starter first, but of course, I ended up picking my Tepig. But I’m not even sure if I would’ve survived some parts of my journey if I hadn’t taken Semora with me after all. There was this one point early on where it was so cold back when she was Pignite where the only thing that kept me and the rest of my team warm was her fire.”
Looking back on the early parts, she’s not sure what she would’ve done without her Emboar. “We all had to pile together in the middle of this forest to sleep until we made it out after a couple of days!”
