Spider-Noir - Authentic Black and White Trailer
i expected nothing less from nic cage
i do not understand how you can say that the ending somehow erases or destroys their relationship, that six thousand years "don't matter" anymore as if death erases love. as if death erases meaning. as if their love isn't literally the reason for creation.
as if the entire movie was not created out of love for terry pratchett and his stories, his life. as if his memory isn't the reason we have an ending to the story in the first place.
as if you cannot see and feel how much they cared, as if they haven't immortalized him yet again in the movie itself.
that post that's like. fans have got too used to acting as stakeholders. media analysis is about the narrative intentions not a checklist of what fans want. i think criticism of the finale because it didn't include specific elements we wanted to see is separate (if sometimes intertwined) from whether the narrative worked overall. because as an overall arc it makes sense. from the start they wanted an earth where humans could live their lives free to make their own choices, without interference or pre-determined rules and plans and divisions into heaven and hell. crowley believed the system couldn't be fixed, aziraphale believed god could be reasoned with, and in the end they were both right and they both got what they wanted: a chance for humans and them to make choices that were true to who they were. for crowley and aziraphale that was choosing each other. it always would be
whos more irritating competition

SHORESY (2022—)
I’M GNAWING ON THE BARS OF MY CAGE SHORESY IS SO HOT
One of the things that consistently impresses me about Shoresy (even when how the show writes other women characters is frustrating) is Jared Kesso absolutely nails what effective flirting with a professional woman in her 40s can look like.
Shoresy absolutely adores Laura Mohr and is consistently very loud about it in ways that are both over the top and stunningly sincere and effective.
And it absolutely makes sense that Laura responds to it despite Shoresy's many many flaws.

SHORESY | 1.01 • Never Lose Again
Shoutout to everyone who's responsible for the creation of this beauty. So many claps, bounces, and other movements lined up perfectly with the music
Jacob Tierney's musical intelligence is one of my favorite things about his directorial work. Not only does this guy have a seemingly massive and encyclopedic library that has gotten me into so much music I never even would have known existed if not for him, he gets what music is supposed to convey in a way that many professional... sound engineers? IDK, what's the person who inserts the newest random pop song into a movie's soundtrack???... don't. The cadence of the music and the emotions of the lyrics guide the filming, from the actual framing to the dolly techniques to the film speed, in a way that makes them hit like a punch to the nuts.
For example, I am an ace person and in general I am pretty neutral about nudity. I can tell when people are hot af, but I also don't have that auto-objectification reaction that many allo people seem to when they see a hot person who is showing just a little bit of skin. Like, that's just a body to me.
So when I tell you that sequence in S02Ep01 where they play 'Um' by LORD$OFDOGTOWN and the most gorgeous girls imaginable bounce slowly past the camera had me SWEATING ... 🤤 Soundtrack said "She say don't play with my feelings but play with my pussy, my ass, my boobies and fuck me" I was fully stunlocked like "YES PLEASE I would like to do exactly that."
A really smart soundtrack makes all the difference and holy god Jacob Tierney is musically intelligent.
It's actually Jared Keeso who picks most/all of the music! Here's a bit from the Shoresy subreddit where one of the crew says it:
It sounds like Jacob Tierney was heavily involved in the music for Heated Rivalry though. They both have a good eye for it and they pick stuff that works really well with the directing, editing, and narrative overall.
Okay being a fan of letterkenny and Shorsey legit since they came out I LOVE how you can tell Jacob had a hand in those and Heated rivalry and the biggest thing that sticks out to me is the music! All three of these shows have fan fucking tastic soundtracks. Like holy shit. Also really love how the music is used to build tension in Heated Rivalry.
One thing I loved about Heated Rivalry that I don’t see people talking about as much is the visual style that Jacob Tierney spent the better part of a decade developing first with Letterkenny then Shorsey. Like yes HR is bigger and shinier but the base of it is shot like Letterkenny and I love that so much.
jared keeso: so yall are familiar with the show jacob and i created. the award-winning comedy about life in rural canada. in which i portray the main character.
crave: yeah for sure. letterkenny. the americans sure seem to like it.
jared: and you remember that one-off hockey player character? the one with the chirps?
crave: mhm yeah we love shoresy.
jared: glad to hear it. anyway so i’m thinking we make a show about him. make it a real touching examination of community and identity. real funny too. lotsa hockey.
crave: perfect! we know you were shoresy in letterkenny, but no one ever saw your face. so who’s going to play shoresy in your spinoff?
jared keeso: what do you mean, my guy?
Wayne (& friends) + Puppies Letterkenny
