The insane gust of wind that threw you and your comrades of balance was soon gone. And with it so was V, your client, or rather your friend.
The blue sky cracked and broke with pressure, you were to occupied to worry about that though. The bright light that belonged nought in the tree had died out. And in its place was the man you tried and failed to stop.
Still was the air, thick with tension from you and Dante. While Nero copied your face with less pressure.
“What is this” Nero said his organic arm no longer shielding his face. You have to make sure he’s safe. Since Vergil did tear his arm off there was no telling what else he’d do to your so. But, he won’t get to him..not as long as you’re there.
“Vergil” Dante hisses, and readies his stance. You quickly look at him and then at your son. You have to protect him, discreetly inching your dominant leg forward so you took a defensive position in front of Nero. You glared a deadly mothers glare. You won’t touch my son, I won’t let you.
Vergil turned around slowly sensing three others behind him. Taking a look around he notices familiar faces of the weak ones he’d left behind. You his wife, Dante his weak hearted brother, and…a new face yet he knows the name..
His eyes land on the book on the floor. His book. Vergil kneels down to take it in the hand that wasn’t currently grasping the Yamato.
“You got some pretty big cojones for coming back” Dante finally says. You were getting worried he isn’t usually this quiet then again neither were you.
“Just don’t know when to give up, do ya!?!” You watch as Dante runs and launches himself at his brother. You need to move, you need to help.
Why can’t you fucking move?!
The elder twin easily retaliates by using the sheathed sword to put some distance between him and his opponent. Dante uses that momentum to unsheathe the Yamato and turn himself throwing it back into it’s original resting place twice as hard. Knocking his brother back in the process. The younger twin comes to a skidding halt behind you and Nero. You use this chance as your own and run up behind him katana in hand. Running as fast as you can.
Nero doesn’t know what’s happening.
You and Dante…are..losing?
This new guy…Vergil. He caught you?!?
Nero’s never even seen you move so fast. And this guy can catch your movements?!?
Vergil turns gracefully yet full of a force you hadn’t seen in years. Blocking your blade with his own sheathed Yamato. He uses your momentum against you and sent you flying back from whence you came and further.
Your son could only watch as this new stranger beat his mother at her own game. He saw Dante run up behind him but was still in shock as to what he had just witnessed.
What did he just witness exactly?
“Get outta my way Nero!!!” Dante shouts at the bewildered young devil hunter, who is far from his vicinity.
As he goes on the offense Vergil retaliates with a precise rising star however, his younger brother does not give in.
You hear Vergil tell Dante something, something inaudible to your own ears. Even if you were in range to hear him, your to pumped full of adrenaline to notice or care.
You do notice, his smirk. No longer the same from what it once was.
Deciding to run up behind him, weapon in toe seemed like the best option. If he dodged then you and Dante could maneuver yourselves to work in sync. All those years of working together made it so you two were never in each others way.
“…Settle the matter” was all you could catch before Vergil swept Dante off of his feet with eh hilt of the Yamato and used the weapon itself to try and slash at his torso. Dante was able to block but he was sent flying back. While you were getting closer, close enough to catch him off guard if you played your cards right.
But you didn’t, and he quickly turned around and blocked your weapon.
His cold apathetic eyes stared into the strong determined windows to your soul. He never said a word.
What were you not good enough to mock!?!?
He scowled at you, but you never backed down. Not when you have to protect him.
“What?” You begin the glare in your eye never wilting.
No words were spoken. Even so, the amount of emotion radiating in your vicinities was one not to be trifled with.
With a small glance he caught you off guard.
Vergil glanced over to the third presence that was too baffled to come to his comrades aid.
Your gaze drifted along with his and it was all he needed to distract you and send you tumbling rapidly and roughly on the ground, grunting like Dante had.
Once his opponents were a safe distance away from him. Vergil turned his back on all of them and swiftly opened up a portal using the Yamato. Who had probably yearned to be held by her rightful owner for the longest time.
You three watched helplessly as he opened another portal with the Yamato. “Thank you Nero” he’d said and he said them earnestly. As he left your eyes narrowed into slits as if glaring the way you were would bring him back.
Once again hurricane Vergil had left your family in shambles…leaving you to clean up his mess…
