Here are some ideas for honoring deceased loved ones on Samhain

Set them a place at the dinner table

Cook their favorite foods

Watch their favorite movies with a picture of them

Pray to your patron god to look after them in their plane of existence

Clean any items of theirs left

Decorate your altar as a tribute to them

Learn more about them and their life, for example, by swapping stories with others who loved them.

If you drink something alcoholic, pour them a glass

Leave flowers or something they would’ve liked at their grave

Write a letter to them in your Grimoire

The Magical Girl Guide to: Lunar Witchcraft

The moon, for the most part, is part of a lot of witches paths. Lunar witchcraft, itself, is practiced to varying degrees by a lot of witches.

Sometimes a spell you find requires moon water as a key component. Maybe you see an advisory post telling you to charge/cleanse certain crystals via moonlight to avoid damaging then. Or hey, you’ve just seen some random witch gushing about how beautiful the moon looks. Though normally, that’s just an added tool of their craft.

However for some, the moon isn’t just a small part of their craft that can supply a boost to a spell or ritual. For some witches, it is their entire path, if not most of it. But regardless of whether or not you’re looking to just use lunar witchcraft sparingly in your craft or you’re a budding witch who happened to look through a ‘branches of witchcraft’ post (*shameless plug*) deciding to try out different paths in order to see what suits you, this is is the post for you. I can’t cram everything about lunar witchcraft in here, but at the very least I can give you a (potentially) helpful start.
