someday I will might OC post but the problem is that my OCs are very specifically meant to be in standalone films that only people with my very specific breed of mental illness will like.

#I feel like when I focus on the screenwriting of anything I watch #the way episodic TV show characters are written is way different than film characters #and a lot of OC content is written for novels (which is entirely different) or episodic formats #personally I think characters in movies have to serve a lot more purpose to be worth leaving in the script than in shows #but that's just me

something eye opening is hearing men complain about a scene in a movie being uniquely disturbing, looking the scene up, and it's something that happens to women in movies so much it's practically a trope. it makes you realize that you aren't overreacting or sensitive, they would be equally disturbed in the same circumstances. that makes me very frustrated

I feel like this movie could've also been directed by Richard Kern. Obviously it would've turned out differently and would've probably been even more sexual, but I think he could've done the same subject material.
