Fear is not consent
I WILL REBLOG THIS FOREVER. F O R E V E R
about 90% of people respond to fear-inducing situations not with fight-or-flight first but by freezing, which is fight-or-flight on hold, where the body prepares to protect you but goes into “protective immobility”
the worst part is you won’t know how you’ll react until you face an awful situation that triggers whichever response to terror is most deeply rooted in your amygdala and hypothalamus
so Don’t Blame Victims
