The prices are crazy, and most days my children survive on just bread Hunger and thirst are destroying us, and cooking on fire increases our suffering unbearably! Fights with villains became more frequent, causing people to take more and more trips to the hospital and recovery girl, but surprisingly you were never one of them.
You always brushed off your injuries as just a scratch or something you could take care of in the comfort of your dorm. Even though you noticed the lingering gazes of your classmates you never seemed to notice the most important one
How oblivious of you.
Now obviously this pissed bakugo off but he wasn’t about to go tell you that to your face, even though you guys weren’t dating, which he so badly wished was a lie his pride wouldn’t let him get a proper conversation with you before he either insulted you or he got mad and stormed off because of how nice and friendly you were
But fate was fate.
Yet again you, bakugo and many others got called out to an apartment complex that was set on fire. Sounded easy enough right? Well it would’ve been if everyone wasn’t inside the building
Bakugo ran into the building first with you not far behind trying to rush people out as quick as you could. Firetrucks and Ambulances were already parked outside. Their sirens were constantly ringing and flashing which started the hurt your head way quicker than you thought when you decided to stare right at them. Hero’s rushed people into stretchers faster than you could actually get them out
The building was deemed empty after the fire was extinguished by the firefighters, Bakugo then instructed for the both of you to head out before the building collapsed in on itself. You stopped and looked around “I could have sworn I heard someone yell for help” you started to mutter under your breath but only you and Bakugo remained in the building “It smells like shit y/n let’s get out of here-y/n?” Bakugo started to yell then whipped his head around in search of you
He finally saw you standing about 7 feet behind him and he let out a deep sigh of relief he didn’t know he was holding in before he called out to you “Y/n nobody’s here we checked already this building is going to collapse we need to go!” Bakugo snapped you out of your trance as you started to run towards the exit with him but luck was never on your side. You could see the exit but as you were about to leave the building collapsed onto itself with you and Bakugo under it…
You started to wake up to hear people calling you and Bakugo’s name around you. You couldn’t answer as a lump formed in your throat, you wouldn’t had been in this mess if you had just left the building instead of just standing there. You thought
To your right you saw Bakugo getting up and coughing from the burnt ash off, of what used to be a reception desk. You dusted the rubble and debris of you, got up and ignored the sharp pain in your side that was screaming for you to sit back down and headed towards Bakugo. He stood up with you and you noticed a dark crimson red stain on the top half of his costume
“Oh my god! You’re bleeding, where does it hurt?” You frantically started to ask questions faster than Bakugo’s brain could process them. Then finally he started to speak…
“Y/n…This is your blood”
“W-what n-no it isn’t” “Your injured y/n your side is bleeding profusely we need to get you to a hospital” he started to look around in search of an ambulance when he saw you flinch back as you touched your injured side. There was one about 10 feet from you guys. Jackpot. You lifted the top of your costume to see the gash in your lower abdomen. It wasn’t that bad.
Right?
You were starting to freak out a little bit and sat back down. “I’m okay I’m okay I’m okay I’m okay” you were really saying this to try calm yourself down but Bakugo still managed to hear you. “The hell are you murmuring about over there knock it off I’m trying to think” “Think about what” you asked hesitantly. He turned to face you “I’m trying to think about how I’m going to get your injured ass over there because your bleeding out and your ankle is swelling”
Before you said anything you looked down at your ankle and it was swelling a dark pink and purple hue took over the skin there, you couldn’t feel it over the excruciating sensation in your abdomen. You could barely choke out a sentence but you damn tried.
“Bakugo” he turned to face you again “I can make it over there I’m okay-” “Y/n just stop it alright! You’re not okay, so stop telling people you are because you’re clearly not!”
You sat there mostly in shock, but the other side of you was fighting to stay conscious and unfortunately losing because you suddenly collapsed. The last things you heard was Bakugo cursing, shouting and those annoying ambulance sirens again.
There was a bright white light as you squinted your eyes open and looked around. You were in a hospital room almost everything was white and there was a tv on the wall in front of you playing random cartoons and commercials. There was an IV connected to your arm dripping some clear liquid to the left of you was a navy blue chair that Bakugo was sitting in with his head tilted back and his eyes closed
That couldn’t be comfortable.
As soon as you noticed he was in the same room as you your cheeks started to flush a light pink. You had always had a crush on Bakugo you liked him more than you could say out loud so the fact that he was right next to the bed you were in was like an unspoken dream come true.
Then you started to remember what had happened and a new wave of guilt washed over you. Bakugo shifted himself into what seemed like a more comfortable position. So you took this as your chance to play like you were sleeping. “It’s too late I already know you’re awake”. Shit. He slowly rose his head and his eyes held an emotion behind it, an emotion you couldn’t read.
Concern.
“We need to talk y/n” oh crap. What was he going to do was he going to yell at you again or say that he hates you or even worse. Ok. You had to admit you might’ve been exaggerating a little bit. “A-about how pretty the bees and trees are?” you asked jokingly trying to lighten the mood. You heard him exhale through his nose softly then getting up to stand beside your hospital bed
“Y/n you need to stop doing this before something bad happens to you!” He couldn’t just stand to the side and watch you hurt yourself anymore
Enough is enough.
“Stop yelling at me I didn’t do anything!” You finally broke tears filled your eyes threatening to spill. “And that’s just it! You never ‘do anything’ whenever you get hurt you shove it in the back then go on worrying about other people and it’s going to get your ass killed if you keep it up” Bakugo was throwing everything he had at you right now but you weren’t going to sit there and take it. “Ok so what if I end up dying saving someone else that’s our job Bakugo”
He scoffed and gave you a hard look. “Oh my god why do you have to make everything so much more difficult than it is, our job is to save people and when you get hurt to go get the proper help that you need, not to just try fix it yourself and cause more injuries!” Was he actually still yelling at you? Oh, yea he was heh.
Tears spilled onto your cheeks as you sniffled, your voice became much more quiet. “Why do you even care so much huh? All you’ve been doing is scolding me so obviously you don’t care very mu-”
No way.
Your sentence was interrupted by a very nice pair of lips crashing on to your own. Your eyes opened wide. Was this really happening or were you under anesthesia and hallucinating. The kiss ended sooner than you would’ve liked but a hand came under your chin and tilted it up slightly to look him in the eyes. “Because I fucking love you dumbass” You started to stutter but you were cut off by another kiss and this time you kissed him back
A smile was etched on your face as he pulled back, cupped your face and wiped the tears from your face with his thumbs “Y/n I’m serious please stop worrying about all of these other people and put yourself first, I’m tired of seeing you get hurt”
“I mean I can’t really promise that but I’ll try” You heard him scoff again “Well it’s a good thing you can’t walk because you have about 23 stitches in your side and with how bad you fucked up your ankle your basically immobile” “W-Wha-…” The smile was instantly wiped off your face especially when you saw him ducking his head down just to laugh at you
“Alright visiting hours have been over for a while now, so I’m going to head home I’ll see you tomorrow.” Bakugo made his way to the door after he gave you a ‘get well’ kiss on your forehead. Before he left your room you had just one more thing to say.
“Love you.”
He stopped dead in his tracks with a small smirk on his face. You heard a soft chuckle before he closed the door behind him

School was stressing you out, and training was completely draining you physically and mentally. You didn’t think you were going to be able to get through another day of all of your classmates making comments about if you were okay and how you didn’t look like you slept in days
In all honesty you couldn’t remember the last time you had gotten more than three hours of sleep. The dark bags under your eyes became more noticeable as days passed. You couldn’t help but feel guilty at the sympathizing look your boyfriend gave you as you lied to your friends when they asked about your health
Your sharp toothed boyfriend had tried asking if you were okay or if there was anything he could have done to help. He knew that you didn’t want to ‘burden’ him with your problems, no matter how many times he told you how he wanted you to feel comfortable coming to him if something was wrong
As the last class of the day ended you rushed out the door and headed straight for your dorm room. Everyone one gave Kirishima a knowing look as the left the classroom soon after. You finally made it into your dorm room, you were grateful that your quirk had allowed you to get a bathroom connected to your bedroom
You didn’t even get a chance to change out of your school clothes before the hot tears started streaming down your face as you went into the bathroom and locked the door. All the built up stress what you have been keeping in this week suddenly came crashing down on you, as you found yourself covering your mouth leaving only choked sobs to escape
Your eyes quickly became read and puffy as you heard the door to your dorm be pushed open while you heard a familiar voice call out for you. Eijiro, Shit. Did he really have to come now?
“U-Uhm just a second E-Eiji.” You tried to control your tone but your own voice betrayed you as it cracked brokenly. The tap to the sink ran for about five minutes as you washed your face yet again. Looking at yourself in the mirror just made you want to cry harder. But your boyfriend was waiting for you for God knows what
The door slowly pushed open as you walked out with your head down. You were met with your boyfriend sitting on the edge of your bed in baggy grey sweatpants and a plain white tight shirt. He smiled genuinely as he patted the spot next to him as you quickly sat down next to him
“So are you ready to stud- Hey wait have you been crying?” Kirishima brought you out of your thoughts. You tried to open your mouth and speak but you were focusing on blinking back tears “I-I’m sorry I need to go to the bathroom a-again.” Your voice broke horribly and Kirishima grabbed your wrist as you went to leave even though you tugged your arm uselessly
Kirishima wasted no time as he wrapped his arms around you ignoring your protest and attempts of pushing him off. You could feel the tears forming in your eyes so your attempts became more desperate as you pleaded for him to let you go, but as you begged you felt his arms wrap around you tighter
You weakly gripped his white shirt as you broke down in tears, a comforting hand rubbed up and down your back making you cry harder. You couldn’t believe you were crying in front of Kirishima that was something you said you would never do, but you had to admit it felt nice to not have to cry by yourself anymore
The calming hand on your back was moved to your head as Kirishima pushed it onto his shoulder while he sat back onto your bed and started swaying side to side gently as if he was trying to put you to sleep
And you were to tired to fight back anymore and he knew that to. Your sobs turned into occasional sniffles until you went completely silent as you calmed down
You were starting to drift in and out of sleep after you were done crying your eyes out and you felt him whispering sweet nothings into your ear. Your eyes soon closed right before you heard him starting to speak
“Y/n if you ever feel like this I want you to come to me, okay?” Kirishima started to whisper in your ear you subconsciously nodded as you shifted into a more comfortable position but Kirishima was determined. “Im serious y/n I want you to promise me that if you ever feel sad or something is bothering you come to me.”
