About the Fifth To Million campaign, rebloggable version as requested

Fifth To Million (FTM) is a campaign started to get One Direction’s fifth album (name still TBA) to reach one million sales within its first week of release.

We decided to create Fifth To Million to get the fifth album to a million sales within the first week of its release because of one major reason, this album is the first album One Direction will be releasing as a four-piece band. To deal with the departure of a member was hard enough on us and the band themselves. After Zayn’s departure, everyone began saying how “it was the end of One Direction,” “now that they’re down a member it’s not going to be the same,” “they’re going to give up and half ass their music.” To prove everyone wrong, we’ve created the campaign Fifth To Million.

This campaign is one hundred percent possible with our dedication and hard work, if we really come together and buckle down we can promote this album to the ends of the earth. In a way it’s similar to the No Control campaign, which proved us fans are more capable of what some might think, and even at times the band’s promotional team. This campaign is completely non-profit, as neither of us are making money from it, and that’s not the goal here. This is a completely fan based campaign with absolutely no help from One Direction or their team.

One million sales in the first week is completely possible! Midnight Memories sold 549,000 copies within its first week, Take Me Home following behind at 540,000. Now we just have to double that this time around, which we’re easily capable of achieving. Backstreet Boys’ album Millennium sold 1,134,000 copies within the first week of its release back in 1999. Even better, ‘N Sync’s album No Strings Attached sold double that of Millennium, selling 2,416,000 copies within the first week back in 2000. So, saying “it’s completely impossible to get one million copies sold within the first week!” is rubbish and not an excuse. We can TOTALLY do this if we take it seriously enough and give it our all. We are a powerful fan base who never uses the power to our full potential, and we can do this all for free, just simple promotion. The boys recently released a new single, Drag Me Down, which has almost 300,000 sales within the first 24 hours, reaching #1 on iTunes within 40 minutes of release. If we continue the hype we got with the single, we can accomplish this with the album. To give you an idea, if the album sold like the single did everyday for one week straight, it would have 2,100,000 sales. DOUBLE what we’re reaching for. This isn’t an impossible task, but we’re going to have to be fully committed. Overall, we’re doing this to show our never ending support for these four boys. Showing them that we aren’t going anywhere soon and we aren’t going to start letting them down. We know they’re not giving up on us when they easily could have called the entire band off with Zayn’s departure, and we’re not giving up on them. They deserve this more than anything. Harry tells us we’re are legends, let’s prove it.

Have you ever noticed, and I speak to all -including Larry shippers - that everything that is, as you say, “Larry proof” is shit? Because I’m pretty sure that Harry makes eye contact with the other boys while he’s singing just as much as he does with Louis. I’m also pretty sure Harry whispers things to the other boys as he does with Louis. Fuck, I remember during the UAN days someone had a video of Harry walking up to Louis and everyone thought he kissed his cheek but SERIOUSLY? He was saying something to him as he does with all the boys during their shows and he still does. Oh? Harry and Niall were messing about whispering to each other and grabbing each others butts? Woah, nope! Not important because Louis just took a millisecond glance at Harry. LARRY OMFG ITS SO REALFHDJFHKSBF. Like for real 99.9% of the time this is what they’re/you’re like. And that “kiss” in Wellington was actually a Bob Morley and Jason neighbors kiss. Google it, its legit so stop losing your shit over that. And I’ve seen loads and loads of Larry shippers posting things like “can’t we just accept each others opinions and move on?” And “elounor and Larry don’t matter, support the boys” yet you go around spitting in the faces of the elounor shippers and the ones who GOD FORBID think Louis and Harry are BOTH straight. If you’re gonna fucking bitch about non Larry shippers getting all up in your grill, stop commenting LARRY all over the fucking place, especially where it has no relation or proof whatsoever. Stop trying to convince the fandom that a few glances and some mouthing of each others solos means they’re fucking. And, here we reach the biggest issue. Modest! Okay, so I have a few choice words on this, forgive me if I offend you but ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING?! Zain signing a solo deal was the ONLY way he could opt out of the contract with 1D unscathed. He was overworked and tired but to able to leave without going broke he had no choice but to sign with suck individually.

let me explain to you why it would’ve been more logical for zayn to stay with 1d

instead of having 4 others to record with, he records alone

instead of having 4 others to promo his album with, he’s alone

instead of doing interviews with 4 others so that he doesn’t have to talk when he doesn’t feel comfortable, he’s interviewed alone

instead of performing with 4 others who can provide the stage presence, he’ll be performing alone in front of however many fans for however many dates

instead of having the attention directed on 1d as a whole, all of the attention will now be on him

if he’s there, he’ll be at award shows alone

instead of the pressure of meeting deadlines being on 5 people, it’s on him

and because he’s still with simon/syco i can’t imagine that his schedule will be any less demanding than it was with 1d

all for ?? a little musical freedom when it comes to the types of songs he wants to record? a little break before people start demanding things again? i dont think it’s worth it for a second. it’s beyond being upset at him for going solo (as it’s seeming pretty nonnegotiable at this point), it’s concern that he’s not going to be able to handle the demands of going solo. a “normal” 22 year old doesn’t do all of this.

Glad but sad...

I'm kinda glad I got to see the boys perform as 5/5 last year, what sucks and makes me sad though is that that was my first and last time ever seeing the whole band together. Now when I see them again this August I won't know what tf to do..😞😥
