one of my favourite things on Top Gear is the jokes that aren’t explained, like the times all three presenters are wearing silly hats or the one where they’re all wearing brand new coats with visible tags. it just shows how much silliness was happening behind the scenes that not everything needed a punchline
and of course, them spending an entire series setting up the Dacia Sandero as the new reasonably priced car and then not being able to get it, so it just looks like James is really into the Dacia Sandero
