How I look IRL:

Our freckles have vanished over winter entirely its sad. I also couldn't figure out how to portray a botched bleaching effort in the hair so unruly curly unbleached version <3

And how we want to look:

Wasn't a rainbow tips option sadly, but the half shaven look is what we've been aiming for, and with an even longer bleached side. Hopefully I get more sun so my freckles return...No clue what kind of facial hair we're hoping for but winging that. plus coloured contacts of course

I had an interesting discussion with a friend at school recently:

What makes OCs like Ink, Error, Dream and Nightmare etc. so popular in the fandom? What causes an OC to blow up like that?

Is it pure luck? good art? good design?? or just the fact that they were early in the fandom? when does it go from “just someone’s oc” to a popular character in the fandom? Will any other OCs rise up to fame like the other popular characters?

the only oc that I can think of that has recently exploded into popularity is Cross, but is it *just* underverse that made him popular? or was there something else? was it because he interacted with other popular characters so much? Will the fandom ever move on from the core 7 or so popular OCs?

So, i’d like to know!

What makes you guys like the popular characters in this fandom so much? What makes you want to draw them?

You know, that's very interesting to think about.

I'd say it could be because they were in fandom's early days, like Underfell and Underswap were like the first AUs and look how gigantic their fanbases are. Not sure how are they doing recently though, but both are MASSIVELY popular.

And although that's my main reason why, I also don't like it because it's discouraging new people still coming to the fandom. I do believe they have passion to make great characters like the ones you mentioned and definitely deserve attention for it :D But with huge fanbase come negatives, sooo it's not that easy to decide.
