🚨 Urgent Appeal 🚨
Hello, my name is Muhammad Eid, a father of three children from Gaza. Today, I reach out to you with a heavy heart, filled with both grief and hope, after my family and I endured an unimaginable tragedy during the ongoing war that has ravaged our city for nearly a year.
On a day that will forever be etched in my memory, our lives were shattered by an airstrike that took away everything we held dear. I lost my beloved daughter, Mais, who was the light of our lives, and I also lost my dear mother, my brother, and his entire family. The bombing didn’t spare anyone; it erased them from the civil registry as if they had never existed.
Our home, a four-story building that held all our memories and dreams, was reduced to rubble. My wife Maysaa, our two surviving children, Osama and Fouad, and I miraculously escaped with our lives, but we were left with severe injuries that required extensive hospital treatment.
I lost my beloved daughter, Mais
I lost my dear mother
I lost my brother, and his entire family
Our home, a four-story building where I lost my loved ones…
We have lost so much in this war, and now we find ourselves displaced and homeless, wandering without a place to call our own. We have also lost our jobs and everything we owned. In these dire circumstances, I am reaching out to you, hoping for your support in helping us rebuild our lives and restore some semblance of normalcy.
How Your Donations Will Help:
Our main goal is to raise €35,000 to help us:
Secure Apartment: The home we lost was worth far more than our campaign goal, but we hope to reach this target to secure a good apartment where my family and I can live.
Survival: Your contributions will help us meet our daily living needs, including food, water, and rent.
Treatment for Fouad: We need to treat my son, who has fractures in his pelvis and requires physical therapy.
Additional Expenses: We need for emergencies and unforeseen additional expenses.
" If the conflict persists and conditions deteriorate further, evacuating from Gaza could become a necessary step."

Unfortunately patching my ripped cpap cushion with tape is not working very well and thats very dangerous for me so I need to get a new mask (I'd get just the cushion but it looks like it's discontinued). Please help a disabled trans woman scientist stay alive.
Important note: if you can donate a new (meaning still in the package) one I would accept it gladly but it needs to be a medium full face mask

i saw this helpful print out at my local library earlier, i thought this could be of help to someone. even if you don't inject, this advice could save a life. I'm here for all addicts and users, we care about you and love you. everyone deserves to be informed about their health regardless of what substances they use
[ID: A poster, titled Signs, Symptoms + Self Care 4 Abscesses, a quick guide for people who inject drugs.
Double exclamation marks precede and follow the following text, which is also underlined, "swelling, redness, fever/heat, and pain are all signs of infection".
In capitals, the title of a list says Go to the doctor if:
- you know you didn't "miss" the shot, or if you don't know if you've missed or not!
- the swelling/redness/pain/fever/heat is getting progressively worse
- you have a fever of 100.1 or higher, especially if it will not break after taking ibuprofen/Advil/Tylenol
- an abscess appears where you did not inject. This is especially important because it means that the infection is spreading throughout the bloodstream which is especially dangerous as this is the cause of septic shock.
Another list, titled self care tips:
- draw a circle around the outer edge of the abscess, if the redness extends beyond the circle in 24-48 hours, this means it will not get better on its own.
- a hot compress should help, but again, monitor swelling, redness and fever carefully!
- do not pick at an abscess! This will only allow more bacteria to enter the wound.
- keep the abscess clean, as well as lightly covered to protect it from any other germs you may encounter affecting it.
In the bottom left corner of the poster, there is a drawing of a syringe in black. In a grey colour, 2 hearts are on either side of the drawing and the text "Stay safe" and "We [heart icon] you" is also written.
Hey, I live in the area where the Apalachee high school shooting occurred, I have family that works at this school. I would really appreciate if yall would spread the godundme's of the families of the Apalachee high school shooting that occurred last Wednesday.
it makes me so fucking angry. Why do palestinians trying to escape genocide have to ask how you are. Why do they have to apologize for sending asks. Why must every message stast with saying they wish the reader well, they they hope you're doing okay, that they're so sorry to bother you. Do these people have to act nice and sweet for anyone to care? Do they have to make sure you're doing well before they have the right to ask for anything? Its horrific.
Animation unions are calling for a Laika boycott due to unsafe working conditions and sleazy hiring practices (like firing full time crew just to rehire as temps for less pay and benefits), apparently they also take the Amazon approach of treating workers like inhuman machines.
Yeah here's another even better article about Laika's "founding."
The short version is that the family who runs Nike (the shoes) had a son with no talents or skills of his own so they helped Will Vinton studios financially under the stipulation they give their son a job. Then they eventually owned enough of the company to make him the boss, he fired Vinton, renamed the studio, and he's still the guy in charge of Laika to this day.
I first learned this some ten years ago, and then I moved to Portland, the actual location of all this. A lot of artists and such in this city still remember all this going down; the owner of the Peculiarium even worked under Vinton, and he still detests Laika and the Shoe Boy.
Falestine is married and has a 3 month old baby, and cannot afford to even give him diapers and milk.
She was made to give birth during this onslaught, and immediately moved from the hospital to a tent. Her home was bulldozed by the occupation, leaving her and her family displaced. The tent where they live is horribly unhygienic and plagued with disease; they are next to a public toilet and surrounded by dirt and waste.
Her mother is chronically ill, and her father tragically suffered a stroke. They currently have no way to treat her illness.

When sorrow and difficulties strike hard, hope becomes the lone star in the dark sky. This is the story of Amira, a 23-year-old girl who found herself bearing the burden of her family after her father's death three years ago due to the coronavirus.

After my father's passing, I found myself taking care of my family, consisting of my mother, sister Noor, and brother Abdulrahman. My mother, suffering from high blood pressure and diabetes, faces health problems that further complicate their situation. But courage and determination drive Amira forward.
I worked as a teaching assistant at the university while pursuing a master's degree in data science, and also worked as a programmer in a company. My life was going smoothly until war came and destroyed everything.
My university, workplace, and home were completely destroyed, forcing them to flee south in search of a safe haven. Now, I and my family live in tents for displaced people in Deir al-Balah, where they suffer from water shortages and the spread of diseases, posing an additional challenge, especially for my immunocompromised mother.
This is a brief about our daily suffering.
Please help me, my mother, my sister and my brother to go out to treat my mother because she suffers from widespread diseases because her immunity is weak and help us to complete our educational journey, me and my brother

I believe that good will always overcome evil, just as spring comes, and with it eternal life, overcoming the bitter cold of winter. We will overcome this genocide very soon with God's help and your continued help and support. One of the advantages we achieved during the war is to convey to you our voice, which has not been heard for many years, and to reveal the nature of this occupation and its actions that have been covered up for hundreds of years.
I would like to introduce you to my simple Palestinian family, who lived in peace in a very beautiful house consisting of a ground and upper floor and a charming garden that we renovated shortly before the war, but the occupation had a different opinion regarding the barbaric bombing of civilians and homes. The occupation destroyed our dear home, which reminded me of my father, the dearest person in the world. My life, may God have mercy on him. The occupation killed every happy and even sad memory by bombing our house.
This is my aunt Rifqa, my younger brother Ahmed, in his last year of school before university. My aunt's house was next door to ours, and she had been single for years. She was not married, and since we are a small family, I have no uncles, because my father was single. It was always my duty to check on my aunt and provide her with everything from food, drink, medicine, and everything else. Before I went to university every day, I always liked to go there to have breakfast together, chat and get her approval before I went to my studies. The memories of the occupation bombing my aunt’s house also disappeared.
This our beloved home before and after Israeli bombing 💔
My priority is to help this kind old woman, when the Rafah crossing is opened, to leave the Gaza Strip safely for Egypt. I do not care about the homes destroyed by the occupation. Money can be compensated, but the soul can be compensated. I don't want to see my aunt again. I want her to be with us again. This is really what I want. I want to send her money so that she can support herself in the northern Gaza Strip. The prices are crazy, folks, especially the food prices.

this is my friend Ali Al-Tababi, and my name is Ghazi Sheto, but he was closer to me than many people in my family. I met Ali at university, and we had a goal: to graduate and work together. We will stay up all night to make this dream come true. He was always at my house, playing, studying, sleeping together and going to university together. We were conjoined twins. Quote. Him and all his family members. You can see the massacre of the Tabatabai family. May God have mercy on them all. I want to fulfill my dream and my friend’s dream and bring my aunt to Egypt and build my house again if possible.
He asked for 30 thousand as compensation, less than a little for what we lost in the war. Frankly, our homes cost half a million dollars, but I asked for 30 thousand so that I could bring my aunt and protect her soul from being killed and so that she could do that. Come to Egypt safely and give her food and drink while she is stuck in northern Gaza, but unfortunately I have only collected $500 so far.
These donations will go to my aunt, the old woman stranded in the northern Gaza Strip, to give her the opportunity to travel, protect her life from being killed, and secure her daily sustenance of food and nutrition. I ask everyone who can help, do not hesitate, because we really need help. Thank you all, and I hope you don't suffer as I do. We suffered, especially my weak aunt.
i Hope you all good thanks you for our support towards our cause 🙏🤍

I know we are helping with families in Palestine, but can we PLEASE give Sudan the same energy for a few second?
Many people are displaced, starving, and trying to escape the RSF (Rapid Support Forces) by evacuating to neighbouring countries or overseas.
(If you do not know what is happening in Sudan, click here.)
I want to bring your attention to four (4) fundraisers. Three of them are from Tumblr users! I also have donated to these campaigns, so please consider doing the same! It will help them so much!
URGENT: Eman Abdelrahman (CHF26,218 / CHF38,475).
@emooz-8 | Verified and vetted by @/el-shab-hussein.
This is the link to her extended family's fundraiser!
She and her family are in IMMEDIATE DANGER! The RSF is closing in her location. They can harm her and her family at any time! Eman needs to evacuate NOW!
Sajida's five (5) families (£7,062 / £30,000).
@niqabisinparis | Verified and vetted by @/el-shab-hussein.
This fundraiser is for Sajida's extended family.
They have been displaced from Khartoum for more than a year now and reside in a makeshift home in the scorching hot desert with no A/C and no windows. The temperature can go up 52°C (122°F)! (This is mentioned in their fundraiser).
The last update is that they have received their passports!
Randa and her family (€20,067 / €35,000).
@rnd8
Randa is in Rwanda so the campaign is to reunite her with her six family members! She has posted an update on June 26th, almost three weeks ago:
Her family has their visa rejected when they entered Rwanda, so they are staying in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, but only temporarily. They have to borrow money to cover the high cost of living as well as issue new visas for Rwanda. (This is mentioned in her fundraiser).
Elaf Babiker ($18,570 USD / $35,000).
Verified and vetted by @/el-shab-hussein.
Elaf is a medical student in her final year as well as the eldest daughter. She wants to evacuate to Rwanda.
Last update: July 25th!
The RSF has claimed more terrority and closed more borders. It will be much more difficult to leave Sudan via ground transportation. So the best option is to take a flight from Port Sudan to Ethiopia and then she and her family will be Rwanda.
My donation to Elaf's fundraiser is not in the donation match's post. So here is a screenshot.
Thank you for making it this far! I didn't mean to make this long. I try to condense it as much as I can! Either way, please have a look and match!
Okay, so clearly, I don't know how to read. I thought Elaf got a $5 donation last night and the night before, but it turns out it was $20! Either way, I am glad that we have something for her. I am also happy to see a contribution for Randa!
Let's keep it going! Please continue to donate and share!
Ah, yes, this is my favorite kind of update: two fundraisers receive donations, and the other two don't. How about we show them all equal love and support? You can do that by donating and sharing! Please keep it going. They need to evacuate as soon as possible!
Guys the situation in Khan Younis is so scary that I don’t even know how to put it into words anymore. All it takes is looking up the city and seeing headlines like “over 100 of bodies ripped to pieces in Khan Younis!” “An Israeli airstrike decimates a house in Khan Younis belonging to x family!” “Even in the midst of ceasefire talks, Israeli forces continue pushing into Khan Younis” for all-consuming anxiety to seize me for all the families that have yet to evacuate. It’s getting so so bad there & yet so many people are still unable to evacuate.
Going to suggest a starting point to help by asking you to donate however much you can (anything helps) to Mohammad and Shaima’s fundraiser. Mohammad is Wafaa’s brother. Wafaa has been in direct contact w multiple ppl on here (me included) about her rapidly deteriorating health. This really is the lifeline for her family (the majority of whom are children) stuck in Khan Younis still. It’s incredibly dehumanizing.
It’s entirely attainable to raise the funds for them, but people keep falling off bc unfortunately a lot of them are desensitized to genocide. We should be pushing this rn more than we ever were.
I get that you’re probably like “ANOTHER fundraiser post” but like… just get over it and do your part. I’m kind of realizing that I refuse to coddle people about this anymore tbh. You should donate and share this bc it’s the right thing to do, not bc it played to your heartstrings or your savior complex. You should share it because you should, the same way you should drink water every day. That’s really all.
This is Eman a Biotechnologist from Gaza. Asking for help is not easy. It's not easy at all. You have no idea how mentally and emotionally tiring this is. But when thinking that the price is my family's life, getting out of here safely and achieve my doctoral degree dream, it just pushes me more and more to do this until we reach our goal. I'm here as I try to reach out to more people asking for their help to support our family's campaign so we can survive while all you have to do is literally donating even by just the price of your morning coffee or maybe a simple breakfast, So I think I'm not asking for so much. We're really tired of living under these catastrophic conditions for a whole 10 months. Your generosity will not only change our lives but also remind us that even in our darkest hour, we are not alone.
