Do you think there's any chance of seeing more Masterpieces (in packs) in the future, or have they been replaced by the mythic edition?
What would you all like to see us do?
Alternative illustration PWs from WAR was almost perfect. A collectible piece everyone has the same chance to get is what everyone wants.Ā
Introduced in introducing someone to Magic but donāt know how? Well, I recorded a whole podcast where I talk directly to someone who doesnāt know anything about the game.Ā

A cool commander I came across recently. Thought it might look cool in a new frame.
I have a suggestion based on recent disappointment from more enfranchised players: What if Wizards periodically put a survey on the website where players could choose three cards from a list of every Magic card (the list is already used on MTGO, anyway) that they want to see reprinted? That way, you can choose the ones that you're comfortable reprinting in a limited environment or in something like FTV, and meet player expectations.
Letās try that here. What card that hasnāt been reprinted (that can be reprinted) do you most want reprinted?
Damnation, Liliana of the Veil, and Snapcaster Mage

For those of you who wonder where my greatest ideas are coming from.
Pauperās the best.
Hi! I'm starting a blog about custom magic cards and I'd love any piece of advice form one of you, experienced blogger. Thank you a lot!
Hello, up and coming custom designer! Itās always awesome to see more designers coming out to share their ideas and build the community.
Here are a few useful suggestions for you to consider:
-Use Magic Set Editor. Itās a fantastic program, and makes cards come out much, much nicer than MTGCardsmith or similar online options. Itās also more complex, but thatās a good thing, since you can actually end up with far more in customization options as well! You can find MSE here.
-Also be sure to consultĀ this thread on using MSE more effectively!
-When posting cards to Tumblr, be sure to use the tagĀ āCustom Magic CardāĀ Most of us track that.
-Learn to template correctly. Magic cards use a fairly specific linguistic format, learn it and follow it as much as possible. Shorthand isnāt really accepted, as we treat our designs as if they could show up in a booster pack (or supplemental product) tomorrow. Donāt fret too much about this, though. Just ask for advice on templating if you need it, or post the card and state that you arenāt sure how. I guarantee you that someone will help you out through reply or reblog!
-Donāt take feedback personally. We all grow as designers, and make our fair share of typos, balance mistakes, costing mistakes, impossible to implement effects, and just outright ludicrously dumb designs that donāt belong in the game. Iāve been there, the next guyās been there, youāll be there at least once. Just smile, thank the people who responded, and focus on improving going forward!
-Make lots of cards. Post frequently! The more you make and the more active you are, the more youāll grow. Staying consistent with postings also makes people more likely to follow you and your content. Try to post at least one card every day, or five cards every week.
-Give feedback on other designersā custom cards! This is another great place for learning on theĀ ājobā, as you can get ideas of your own. Collaborative work, as well as building off of someone elseās ideas is common, acceptable, and encouraged! Your own feedback also gives our work some meaning, which makes us feel appreciated and continues our interest in what we do.
-Follow some custom designers! This one is an extension of the previous points. What better way to find cards to give feedback on, find inspiration from, and in general participate in the community? Some good people to follow are @abelzumi, @imakethecard, @mtgdesignprompts, @inkubatorpl, @affinityforanime, @blackdeckwins, @mtgdailycard, and some others Iām sure I forgot to mention. For those of you I missed: Feel free to tag yourself in a reblog if that helps!
If you have any more questions, feel free to send me another ask, or through any other of Tumblrās myriad methods of contact.
See you out there!
Thanks for mentioning! Great post. As for the templating, try to search for similar cards on magiccards.info.

Who here plays PAUPER???
I have a few decks on magic online :D
Pauper is the best. I have more than 5 decks and play it weekly at my LGS. Can't wait to see it on gatherer and as a normal sanctionable format. With a GP once a year. :D
200 Follwers! How about 2 Conspiracies in M15 frame?!
Iām creating a Cube to play with close friends, so 75% of our most beloved cards, bunch of Conspiracy draft-matter ones and couple of my own designs to test them and shake things even more. This is going to be awesome!
Does anyone know how can I get my hands on watermark/stamp/seal in decent quality from 'draft-matters' cards from conspiracy?
For everyone - My paletteĀ of vector symbols. Download link below.
A lot of these symbols are not mine, but rather collected from the internet.Ā
However, I coulndnāt find some, so I made them myself and compiled with the rest. So⦠here you go:

Cards From Art #77
Art by Kate-FoX
I like Ice. Itās one of my favorite types in Pokemon (probably behind Fighting and Dark), it makes a beautiful landscape, and it keeps my sweet tea cold.Ā
But Iām just about sick of this temperamental frozen weather in North Carolina this year. Like, seriously, itās 60 degrees at noon and then 32 degrees by four. Thatās not healthy.
Thatās probably why this art jumped out at me to start with. I didnāt plan on making a land; thatās just what the card ended up becoming. Snow mana may almost be irrelevant, but I think this is a pretty cool design for a deck that wants access to {C} and {S}, if such a thing ever exists.
You canāt add {S} to your mana pool.
