can't believe there are people who think Maekar wanted to kill Baelor and was jealous of his older brother. like the Maekar who sat alone in Baelor's seat at Ashford, staring numbly at the hand that swung that mace. the Maekar that could barely hold back his grief, his tears, when speaking to Ser Duncan. the Maekar, despite his own personal opinions of the hedge knight, offered him a place at Summerhall because that's what his brother would have wanted. the Maekar that couldn't bear the thought of wearing the crown that was meant for his brother and had to have a new one made instead. the Maekar that marked that day down every year for the decades of his remaining life. THAT MAEKAR???

What can possibly be cuter than Baelor being protective of Maekar, who by this point has fully grown and become a complete menace.

Gods forbid somebody harms his little brother (Maekar's huge, perfectly built, has a threatening presence, and looks like he can harm any number of people at any given time). Gods forbid somebody speaks ill of his little brother (Maekar curses, at times so much that he's become notorious for it). And gods forbid somebody comes between them (except for a select few who are allowed).

And everybody's like — okay, all right, Baelor, you can keep your pet monster, you are inseparable anyway, and no one in their right mind would say otherwise.

It's so funny when everyone makes fun of Aerion for drinking wildfire to turn into a dragon but nobody mentions how Egg did it worse. At least Aerion only risked and sacrificed himself. Egg was blabbering how Aerion thinking himself a dragon in human form was nonsense, probably said the same thing about him drinking wildfire, but then went and repeated the same thing amplified tenfold by attempting to hatch dragons by wildfire and wiped out himself, his whole family and his friends. Why is Aerion the only one called mad when none of those siblings were sane.
