You wake up in your room, light shining in. Your slowly open your eyes as the sun practically blinds you. Getting up, you move from the bathroom to the kitchen, going to make your famous cheese omelette.Â
You groggily enter the kitchen, feet dragging. Then, there is a ruffle on the couch. Staring at the couch with a confused look on your face, you slowly approach the furniture. As you look over the frame, you see him.Â
Your best friend is asleep on your couch?
“When in the world..did he get in?” you wonder. He was texting you last night on and on while he was at the ATEEZ concert. Sending you tons of videos as you can clearly hear his screech in the background. Chan was always in love with music. Nothing could come in-between him and making music. Something about that made you warm inside.
Chan grunts as he feels your presence over his vulnerable sleeping state. He opens his eyes slightly, “Oh hey you’re awake,” he grumbles. You roll your eyes and smile. “So party animal, how was the concert?” you ask him, walking around and sitting on the couch by him. “It was AMAZING. I had great seats, and the speakers were just in the right spot, y’know? I could feel those beats in my chest, Y/N.” he exclaims.Â
You loved listening to the things Chan was interested in. It made you feel even closer to him, even though you have known each other since the start of middle school. Getting paired together in science class for an experiment was not a good move on the teacher. But, it also meant you two becoming friends for life.Â
“Wow, that sounds pretty exciting, huh?” you smile. “You know Y/N, we should go to a concert together soon!” Chan suggests. Huh...you never really thought about that. But it didn’t sound like a bad idea. Getting to just dance around like a stupid person with Chan? Sounds like something euphoric.
“Hm. Yeah we should,” you reply. “Oh! Speaking of the concert, I met this girl there while waiting in the line for merch. We even had seats next to each other!” Oh. A girl? You felt some kind of electricity go through your chest. He goes on, “Her name is Yuri. We exchanged phone numbers too so we could keep in touch. I’d love for you to meet her, Y/N.”Â
Well, you knew Chan was quite the good-looking man. Nice body, the attractive accent, and the ability to dance, sing and produce music like an absolute God. Everyone was familiar with Chan. That’s how is one of the best music majors at the college. But hearing about this girl was some very new news to you coming from him.Â
“I would love to meet her, Chan. I’m so glad you had fun,” You give him a soft smile. All you want for him is to be happy and enjoy things he loves. “Man, you’re so sweet Y/N,” He gives you a pat on the knee. “Now, I have a feeling you were about to make those killer cheese omelettes, yeah?” He smirks. You giggle and head to the kitchen and start up the omelette process.
Chan drops his fork down, “Absolutely delicious. As always. You know, I’m surprised you didn’t try to major in cooking, Y/N,” he says stretching on the chair. “Yeah well, I only cook to keep myself alive,” you reply, taking the dishes to the sink.Â
It was Chan’s phone. He picks it up with a smile on his face, “It’s Yuri! She’s wondering if she can come and hang,” He says with his eyebrows raised, looking at you for a response. You stare at him, not quite sure on how to reply.Â
“Uh, yeah. Sure. Sounds cool,” You give him your smile. But didn’t they just met last night? Did he really give her his address? You feel your smile go down. “Awesome! She said she’ll be here in ten.”Â
There it is. The doorbell ring. Chan jumps up and heads to the door. There stands a short girl with long black hair, the smoothest skin, and a light blue romper. Man, she is pretty cute.
“Y/N! This is Yuri! Yuri, this is Y/N, my best friend!” Chan introduces you two, smile from cheek to cheek. You two make eye contact, but her eyes..they burn deep into yours. She gives you a smile, which you could tell is already fake. “Hi! Nice to meet you,” She lend her small hand out. You shake her hand, “Nice to meet you too, Yuri. Please, make yourself at-” Out of nowhere the guest gives Chan a big hug. He looks surprised, then seeps into the hug. “Missed ya Channie!” Yuri squeals.Â
But Channie is what I call him..?
“Missed you too, babe.”Â
