Tumblr Sexyman Contest 2026 Final Round

Mr. Ant Tenna (Deltarune)
Tenna art by @9Aaaalt29 on twt
โAnd if youโll give me 40% of the MOST POPULAR VOTE, Iโll give you my SPECIAL REWARD... A yearโs supply of NON-GLOOBY SLIME!!! Never or BARELY used!!!โ Tenna concluded his speech with a huge smile, jetting his hands up in double peace signs.
The crowd roared in confused enthusiasm as Tenna gave a gracious flurry of low-FPS bows, pausing only for the occasional stink-nose at his audience plants who werenโt throwing enough 3D roses.
Eventually, the room fell silent. It was Senshiโs turn to speak.
He puffed out his chest, took a long, sweeping look over the audienceโฆ and shook his head.
โI can see not all of you are eating properly.โ
The crowd murmured with embarrassment.
โI donโt know who needs to hear this, but itโs time to take the turkey out of your icebox. I have seen the ingenious technology with which your people store food... and I have also seen the waste which results from such convenience.
โThe food you take had a life. Beasts grew fat on the grass of the field, plants grew from the sunโs rays, and mushrooms grew from minerals in the cracks of caves. And yet, it sits in your iceboxes, collecting moisture until it perishes.
โEat what is given to you. Because its life will make you stronger, too.โ
Without another word, Senshi left his podium and stepped away from the stage. The crowd murmured in confusion. โIs he really like that?โ somebody said. โI only remember reblogging the photosets of him tripping and showing ass.โ

Back in the Green Room, Tenna wrung his antennas nervously.
โY-y-you think they liked me!? They HAD to!! I mean, I donโt know what Asgore was thinking, getting that weird haircut and running that food waste campaign, butโฆ YOU thought I did good, didnโt you, Kris?โ
Laios nodded aggressively, a streak of blue face paint peeling from his forehead.
โYou did AMAZING, Tenna! By the way, now that weโve seen all your insider campaign secrets, do you have any more videos of Susie? Especially her tail... If I could get a look at that, I could finally tell if sheโs a dinosaur or --โ
THWACK. Fake antlers butted Laiosโs head.
โLAIOS?? Werenโt we dressed up to help SENSHI???โ Marcille hissed, gesturing awkwardly with her hooves.
Suddenly, Tenna turned to the two adventurers.
โHey, WAIT a second. SOMETHINGโs not right here...โ
Laios and Marcille held their breath.
โWhere the heck are my POINTS!?โ
Just then, the door opened. Chilchuck took one step into the room, whistling and holding a large bag.
Everyone turned to him.
Chilchuck paused, took a step backwards, and closed the door.
โCHILCHUCK!!!โ yelled Tenna.
โHow come Chilchuck got to stay Chilchuck!?โ yelled Marcille at the same time.

on participatory art:
Beethovenโs โHammerklavierโ sonata, first published over two hundreds years ago, is notoriously considered one of the most difficult-to-play piano pieces of all time.
In particular, when Beethoven sent it to his publisher in 1818, he allegedly said, โNow you have a sonata that will keep the pianists busy when it is played 50 years hence!โ, and much has been made of the fact that it wasnโt publicly performed in its entirety until eighteen years later, by Franz Liszt himself.
Except thatโs a bit of a deceptive statistic. See, when Beethoven published Hammerklavier, public solo piano recitals/concerts werenโt really a thing yet. Symphonies, sure; concertos, definitely. But sonatas were โparlorโ musicโa thing played by amateurs, often skilled amateurs, but amateurs nonetheless, in little sitting-rooms for a bit of entertainment after dinner, or at private salons with a guest list in the low dozens. (And mostly they were meant to be sight-read! The culture of obsessively polishing a piece to make it โperformance-readyโ wasnโt as much of a thing, back then.) People bought these things the way they bought novels, and, just as someone might buy a copy of Joyceโs Ulysses today and enjoy puzzling over the thing, even if they never read the whole thing or feel like they fully โgetโ it, wellโฆ some folks would enjoy sonatas the same way.
So yeah, Hammerklavier didnโt have its first public performance until Liszt played it in the Salle รrard. But also, Liszt basically invented the format of โstar virtuoso pianist hogging the stage for two hoursโ in order to get a public audience at all.
But in the meantimeโI think about how wonderful it mustโve been, tooling around on the piano during that 18-year-span where there was no evidence that thing even was playable, or that, if playable, that the thing even made sense. Beethoven was nearly totally deaf by this point, after all, a fact that was publicly knownโhad he totally lost it? people had to wonder. And the only way to find out would beโฆ well, trying it out yourself!
It has the sound of a gimmick. And Iโll bet it was, at least a little bitโbut just because somethingโs more interesting to play than listen to doesnโt mean itโs failing in its goal. (Though fwiw it is very interesting to listen to.)
It also has the sound of, like, Dark Souls, to be honest. Proto-video game culture. A new game drops and people are asking each other: can anyone beat this boss? can you beat this boss? do you still consider your time on the game well-spent even if you never 100% it?
Biographies generally agree that Beethovenโs metronome markings (which only appear in his later work, and only *some* of his later work) are preposterousโoften borderline-unplayable, and certainly not very musical. I couldnโt find a recording of anyone trying to play Hammerklavier at the marked 138bpm tempo, so I got a computer to do itโand burst out laughing at the result because, yeah, 138bpm is fucking NUTS. But whether intentional or accidental, I love the audacity of its being there, like a taunt: I dare you to do more. I dare you to do better. I dare you to try.
Much has been made of how difficultyโs a way of keeping people outโbut itโs also a way of inviting people in, I think. It says: do this hard thing and you will be rewarded. You will be rewarded in the trying. Because the trying is the thing that makes the music live; there is no music without you.
Hereโs an old bit from an interview with the game designer Porpentine:
โThe purpose of a puzzle [in a game] is to provide resistance. For me, that resistance doesnโt need to be coercive or challenging, just interesting and aesthetic. My mechanics are to be touched. Games are perhaps the most intimate art because the player must remain touching at all times. They must touch or the game does not exist.โ
So it goes with these sonatas, too.

Growth and formaldehyde degradation of photoheterotrophic Methylobacterium within radiation fogs
"Based on the analyses of 32 overland radiation fog events over a 2-year period, we show that fog waters, with bacterial concentrations similar to those in continental or marine bodies of water, contain microbiomes well differentiated in composition from those in the dry aerosol microbiomes that occur locally before, during, or after fog events. They are consistently and strongly enriched in photoheterotrophic Methylobacterium species, suggesting that fog populations may be metabolizing volatile C1 compounds in situ, although phototrophy seems much less important. Indeed, metabolically active bacteria in the fog, and representative isolates of the main field populations, can degrade formaldehyde at unprecedently high rates; most of this activity seems to play a detoxification role. The increase in bacterial aerobiome counts upon intervening fog events, the dependence of microbial concentration on ambient temperature, the increases in cell size and frequency of dividing cells in fog water with respect to cells in interstitial aerosols of fogs, in addition to their metabolic capacity, all suggest that the fog water microbiome is actually growing. Consequently, droplets of atmospheric water should be considered a potential aquatic microhabitat. "
when i was a kid my parents bought me an inflatable doll of the Scream by Edvard Munch (??) that was significantly taller than i was at the time and i used to slow-dance with it and pretend it was my boyfriend. It had its hands attached to its head obviously so it felt like he was always a bit horrified to be forced to dance with me
i didn't need no imaginary friends i had Screaming Joe right here !
I love this website I love it when people tell us what's wrong with them
Next up someone is going to claim that the Narnia series isn't kids books.
Kids books is probably not the best way to word it, you can enjoy them at every age, including your childhood, as you get older you may find new truths in them, but they're still good for any age.
I want you to understand this. I NEED you to understand this. My mother read me the hobbit as bedtime story, and I started pushing myself to read before pre-school so I could in fact read the hobbit for myself instead of having to wait for bedtime.
I didn't do so right away but jesus wept I PUSHED myself to learn to read SPECIFICALLY so I could read The Hobbit! It is, in fact, a children's story! And children only see page count as 'there is a lot of this fun story to read!'
Like... come on man, 310 pages isn't even what I would've considered a particularly long book as a kid.
I don't understand why they're freaked out by book length. A kid can read one 300-page book or six 50-page books and it's the same amount of reading. Scholastic's bread and butter has traditionally been long, LONG series of relatively short children's books; it's known that bookworm kids like to read a lot. Nobody blinks an eye at a kid reading all sixty-ish Animorphs books or a bookshelf's worth of Goosebumps or The Babysitter's Club. But if the pages are stuck together into thicker books then suddenly that's difficult for a kid? 300 pages isn't even all that big for children's fantasy.
My trick when I get stuck in this conversation is to mention that I went from reading The Hobbit and A Wizard of Earthsea when I was 5-6 to Stephen Kingโs IT when I was about 8. Never fails to shift the focus away from the length of the books.
Higgledy-piggledy, many a year ago, I and a maiden named Annabel Lee
lived in an amorous interconnectedness down in a kingdom that sat by the sea.
I was a child and she was a child, but summing our love yielded more than its parts --
therefore the seraphim jealously coveted my and my Annabel's childish hearts.
This was the reason a wind from the overcast chilled her and killed her and bore her away,
carried by countrymen highborn and beautiful, into a sepulchre down by the waves.
Not so contentedly, not half as happily, up in their Heaven the angels conferred,
sent us a tempest to chill her by nighttime -- yes, that was the argument, all men averred.
Under the ocean, the antidiluvian demons, and angels in Heaven above,
never can sever my soul from the soul of my younger, more foolish, more beautiful love:
Higgledy piggledy, moonbeams and starlight, her eyes find me dreaming, my Annabel Lee,
there in her sepulchre all of a night-tide, I lie with my bride in her tomb by the sea.
proposing a new genre of fiction called an anti-romance where u r presented w a couple at the start & the story is about their emotional journey towards a catastrophic break up
will they won't they (end this farce). there's only one bed (but for some reason they don't really want to share it). out of context eavesdropping (that paints the relationship in a better light than it deserves). chasing after them to stop them getting on that plane (and stopping them from finally being free)
nobody understands my vision i don't mean any old story where a relationship fails and it's tragic or w/e i mean a story where the intention is for the audience to root for it failing the same way u root for it succeeding in a romance. & when the relationship finally implodes at the climax of the story it's all very cathartic & everybody cheers.
like have u never wanted a fictional couple to break up so badly it hurt?
