Ni Doms
in 2019
vs almost 2 years into a pandemic
hi there! would you please be able to say what would other indicators be for inferior Ni, besides catastrophizing and seeing everything going wrong in the future? thank you so much
Having a vague sense of uncertainty about having no over-arching big 'plan' for your life, feeling like you should have one, but the future seems like a haze of uncertainty to you, and when you focus too long on it, everything becomes even more muddled, so you avoid thinking about it for too long and feel stress being around people who insist on things like 'four year plans,' etc.
Well put! Another symptom is feeling adrift and out-of-touch with your life... Check out this post for a super great and detailed explanation, and check out the idea of the Ni “grip” for more fun suffering, too.
*ESFP and INTJ half-assedly high five over shared Ni woes”
Guess who’s back bitches?
..... Is anyone even on tumblr anymore..... ?!!
Or did porn-bot-gate — and tumblr staff’s counterattack by trying to literally purge the site of eroticism, then the consequent mass exodus of everyone in protest — end up basically killing the entire platform ??
(if you’re new and/or confused, leave me an Ask demanding an explanation)
Guess who’s back bitches?
The types as Olympic sports?
Olympic Weightlifting, to let out some frustration at everyone’s stupidity: ENTJ, INTJ
Boxing, to burn some restless energy and get to beat someone up while they’re at it: ESTP, ISTP
Tug-of-War, because winning is a Fun Team Effort: ESFJ, ESFP, ENFJ, ENFP
Polo, because there’s horses and oh my God!! Cute!!: ISFJ, ISFP, INFP
Synchronized swimming, for the perfect structure and precision: ISTJ
Fencing, for the strategy involved: ENTP, INTP, ESTJ
Archery, so they get to be alone and validated for their perfectionism: INFJ
Hi! I was wondering what type of texting/communicating style an INTJ has? Are they the ones to leave people on read, mentally reply but forget to actually reply, etc? I'm the type to read messages when I know I can reply thoroughly at the time, so it irks me when some friends reply too late to the point where I don't feel like continuing the conversation, or they'll be on other social media posting or liking but haven't replied back yet. Is that an INTJ annoyance or is it just me?
I totally agree – I respond whenever I come up with a good reply, whether that’s .2 seconds after receiving the text … or 2 months. Oops.
I think this is a frequent INTJ thing. We like to feel #competent and it can be a #problem
I'm so dumb I was making out with my boyfriend and when we finished he said "Making out is the best" and my dumbass just went "who???" Yes I'm an INTJ
A classic addition would have been to ask him to evaluate your skills on a scale of 1-10
What do you think of an INFP dating another INFP?
The 4 horsemen of this relationship:
Happy tears
Avoidant attachment style
Baby animal videos
Fighting off codependency
When an INTJ says they're "busy," what are the chances they are actually busy? Or are they just not interested in spending time with me anymore?
They might be busy trying to stop their own brain from eating itself as a result of overthinking, keep bugging them until their feelings are more obvious

The types as alternative songs
Listen to your type’s song and reblog if you...
1. liked it
2. have a better song
3. think I’m an idiot and want to flame me
or otherwise!
Spotify playlist with all the songs here!
ENTJ: Love is a Laserquest by Arctic Monkeys
Why: The crooning of Alex Turner circa 2011 asking you if you still think love is a laserquest might just brainwash you into viewing relationships a little less intensely ... only kidding, guys. Seriously, this is a beautiful and layered song with a light, teasing vibe.
INTJ: Love is Lame by The High Curbs
Why: Bitter, vulgar, and clever. Like us! This is a well-paced song with solid guitar and blunt lyrics from a local band that I found a while back. The clear vocals are awesome for INTJs who especially like to listen to the lyrics.
ENTP: That’s Where You’re Wrong by Arctic Monkeys
Why: Title of this song = catchphrase of 90% of ENTPs. Don’t @ me, you know it’s true. Expect an alternative song with a smooth beat, soft vocals, and the most creative lyrics -- almost creative as what you dorks come up with in our daily debates.
INTP: The Scientist by Coldplay
Why: Do we really need an explanation for this one? Gorgeous, simple piano will be especially appreciated by our INTP musicians.
ENFJ: Best Friend by Rex Orange County
Why: Being peoples’ best friends is a favorite pastime of ENFJs. This song deserves a spot on their internal soundtrack as they accumulate more people that love them. The uplifting, cheerful tune and happy-yet-tongue-in-cheek lyrics are so representative of ENFJs’ attitudes.
INFJ: Come and Be Alone with Me by The Jungle Giants
Why: I’m pretty sure every INFJ in my life has said whined this to me at least once. I just discovered The Jungle Giants recently and I’ve shoved them down the throat of every INFJ I know -- the indie-esque sound, solid beats, and sheer catchiness of their music are so interesting and unique. And slightly weird. Like you guys.
ENFP: Talk Too Much by COIN
Why: Yes, you talk too much; yes, I love you anyway. Fast-paced, fun, intense, and solidly pop-y. COIN makes the kind of music you want to dance naked to. Not that ENFPs usually dance with a lot of clothes on, anyway.
INFP: I Love You So by The Walters
Why: This is the kind of song that makes you want to smile at the person next to you on public transit. Gentle and classic guitar, slow beat with beautiful, mellow vocals, and ultra-INFP lyrics -- “I just need someone in my life to give it structure” and “You're saying I'm the one but it's your actions that speak louder.” Check it out, guys.
ESTJ: Change Your Mind by The Killers
Why: This is such a classic alternative song. ESTJs might grudgingly enjoy the nod to struggling with emotional repression and bluntness -- “While I ignore that we’ve both felt like this before” as well as “So if I had a chance, would you let me know?” and “And if the answer is no, can I change your mind?” are some excellent examples.
ISTJ: All The Right Moves by OneRepublic
Why: Beautiful lyrics -- so characteristic of OneRepublic -- and a profound message about achievement and self-worth that is especially relevant to our practical realists. This song is a gentle reminder to ISTJs that life (unfortunately) isn’t always “cause and effect.” A powerful build-up makes this song extra memorable.
ESTP: Raise Hell by Dorothy
Why: Fast-paced modern rock that drips with power and revolution. This is the ESTP anthem -- you guys just gotta trust me on this one!!
ISTP: Anarchist by YUNGBLUD
Why: Expect a (surprisingly awesome) cockney accent, layered vocals, intense beat, and killer guitar in the background. Chances are that the ISTP reading this already clicked on the title before they read the last sentence; why am I still typing?
ESFJ: Sweet Disposition by The Temper Trap
Why: Building intensity and a fast beat combine with soft, slow vocals and well-timed beat changes. If only for the fitting title, ESFJs have to check this out.
ISFJ: We’re Going to Be Friends by The White Stripes
Why: This is the most gentle, affectionate song about kids’ friendships that any ISFJ in a mellow mood will love. You could slow-dance to this while autumn leaves fall outside.
ESFP: Breaking Free by Night Riots
Why: I actually saw these guys in concert, and I know someone who dated the lead singer! This song for ESFPs is fast and catchy, and it builds the drama with lyrics about love, passion, and freedom.
ISFP: Walking On A Dream by Empire of the Sun
Why: For a dreamy walk with the dreamer of the types, the ISFP. Ethereal sound, quick and light beat, floating vocals, and uplifting lyrics. This is one of the coolest songs on my playlist.
INTJ goes shopping
Fi: Do we like it?
Te: We don’t need it.
Ni: Will we buy it??
Se: YESSS
This is a post personally calling out every INFP for vicariously living through other people when they get revenge
How do you manage an ESTP friend. I swear to god I almost die, have to break up a fight, or save them from pursuing a shitty one night stand 🤦🏽♀️ SOS
You say “manage” like they’re some wild rockstar who shows up late and drunk to the recording studio to meet with me, the fatigued agent-turned-babysitter who’s been dragging them out of crack houses for years and can only drop my head in my hands as they get another public indecency charge.
I like this visual.
hey sorry if this is too long, emo or annoying. I'm an infp falling into the cliche the-unemployed-type trap. i've spent the last 2 years after high school doing nothing (1 tiny internship, tried uni for 2 weeks and hated it) and now i'm back at uni mainly for the entry in my cv (yeh i want to drop out). The stress and unknown is making my fi-si loop af - and whenever i start something new i want to drop it. It's the worst for my mental health and idk what to do bc no careers interest me.
This is a really interesting question. As far as career advice goes... I don’t think it’s a career you need to find; it’s your passion.
A fulfilling career path starts with finding what drives you and letting that knowledge guide your professional decisions. For an INFP, often the root of your actions lies in your desire to create/maintain harmony in your environment (and inside yourself). Any task that involves helping people, being a part of emotional communication, and/or fulfilling a need in general attracts INFPs!
My INFP mom is a doctor. I can’t tell you how many times she’s told me, when I asked for career advice myself, that she didn’t decide that she wanted to be a doctor and then go to med school. What she actually did involved self-discovery: she had to discover that she feels fulfilled when she can help someone tangibly and meaningfully, and then that information guided her toward a job in healthcare — and then from there she was able to fine-tune exactly what she wanted her career to look like.
But the foundation had to be finding what she enjoyed doing in daily life — helping people and solving problems, no matter if it involved friends, family, or strangers.
Let me know if you need more clarification on this! And — if anyone is interested in the story of how my INFP mom realized her path and went from working as a waitress in Hawaii to being an ER doctor, tell me!
