Actually the problem with these kinds of studies is how you go about getting the data and extrapolating from it.
More often than not, trans women and transfems have stronger support systems than trans men and transmascs. Binary trans women have the strongest support systems, while enben and trans men have the weakest.
In order to deduce if the certificate was incorrect, you need to:
1. Find people who knew dead trans people
2. Track down their death certificate
3. Compare the gender on the certificate to what their actual gender is, according to those who know the decadent.
So, logically, you're going to find less dead trans men and transmascs when there's less people that support them to say "This girl was actually a guy"
This is called sampling bias and there's a reason why these kinds of studies are rarely done, because they're unreliable.
It's not 100% unreliable, but it's more a jumping off point for better studies, and shouldn't be taken as gospel.
