One of my homes away from Tiktok, I'll try to be (somewhat) frequent with my posts, but no promises. This is primarily a vessel for anything Danny Phantom
Someone had been watching Danny. He wasn't sure for how long now, let alone who, but he was sure it was happening.
He felt a chill race down his spine, and whipped around from his spot on the sidewalk, looking up and down the street frantically.
“Is it happening again?” Sam asked warily, immediately squinting at the windows of the brownstone buildings around them. Tucker pulled out his PDA and began thumbing through command functions, mumbling something about a new surveillance scrambler code he'd developed.
“Yeah, Ancients I hate this.” Danny groaned. There was nobody on the street around them, save for the occasional car.
“I don’t see anyone in a window, but there’s too many to tell for sure,” Sam sighed, giving up on her own search quickly once realizing its futility.
“Maybe it's one of Vlad’s spy bugs?” Tucker offered. “If it is, it’ll show up on here.” He flourished the PDA, waving it proudly with a smile until a flat beep emanated from the machine. Frowning, he turned the screen back towards himself, and hummed unhappily.
“Nevermind. Whoever they are, they’re not using some kind of surveillance tech, “he said, his dissatisfaction obvious as he shoved the device back into one of his cargo pants’ many pockets.
Danny sighed, doing one last sweep of the street. It was still empty, and his ghost sense hadn’t triggered. He wasn’t being paranoid, he knew that, but this had become exhausting. For three long weeks, he had been feeling eyes on him. It was always at the most random times too; during lunch at the cafeteria, while walking to the Nasty Burger, even sitting in the living room. There was no real pattern to it all.
“Let's just go, we don't want to be late for the movie.” He shoved his hands in his pockets, and with a glance between them, the three continued on their way.
The curtains of a nearby window fluttered with movement as they left the area. Elsewhere in town, a group chat alerted to a new message.
‘Begin final preparations.’

It didn't take long for Danny to get that feeling again. It was the first of May, or Beltane, according to Frostbite’s lessons. He had just left Tucker’s house, planning to join his ghostly mentor for the holiday when he swore he could feel eyes on him.
Danny stopped mid-step, and scanned the area around him. Nothing. Again. Honestly, Danny was about ready to give up looking for the source of this feeling altogether. It had been weeks. He was about ready to chalk the whole thing up to Wes again, though the guy had been acting strangely chill for a few months. Whatever, it was probably him. Danny was just tired of this. He’d have to confront the dude next time he saw him.
So, he resumed his walk back home, mind already drifting to what the Yetis might consider a ‘proper Beltane celebration’.
It was while walking past Marley Park when Danny noticed someone trailing behind him. When he turned his head to catch a glimpse, he startled. It was a man, clad in dark clothes with a hood pulled up to hide his hair. The man was staring at Danny, eyes wide, and an odd smile on his face.
“Uh, yeah no,” Danny muttered to himself as he whipped his head around, already moving to pick up his pace. That is, he would have, if he hadn’t slammed face first into someone.
Stumbling back, he was about to apologize to whoever it was when something was shoved over his head. In quick succession, Danny heard a car screech to a halt nearby, and a sharp stinging pain in his neck, followed by wooziness.
The last thing he heard was laughter.

A sharp ringing sound, almost like a gong, stirred the boy awake. He blinked, and wished he hadn’t. Floodlights filled his vision, resulting in a near instant headache. Still, he squinted to see past the overwhelming light.
He was on the edge of what looked like a cemetery, and wiggling his torso he could tell he was tied to something.
“Oh Ancients, is this another cult thing?” Danny groaned, every syllable filled with exasperation. Nearby, beyond the reach of the lights, a woman spoke up.
“You are awake, Mr. Fenton. That's good.” The sound of shuffling revealed her as she stepped across one of the lights, a few dozen others following her in succession.
“Yeah, yeah, I’m awake and all, no thanks to you guys,” Danny huffed as he tugged at his wrists experimentally. They were tied, as he expected, but with a flick of intangibility he’d be free.
“Brothers, Sisters, place the flames accordingly,” The woman continued, either missing or ignoring Danny’s words altogether. “Make sure they coincide with the runes.”
That caught Danny’s attention. Craning his neck, he saw the cultists (Who were all wearing hoodies by the way. Did they seriously expect him to take them seriously without robes? Jeez.) placing candles in a strange pattern. He couldn’t read any of the runes that had been scratched into the dirt, but those sorts of things weren’t normally a good sign, as Sam had always told him.
This wasn’t Danny’s first time dealing with a cult, far from it in fact, Though the steps these guys had taken to capture him had him concerned. They absolutely had been the ones watching him all this time, but the fact that he hadn’t caught on meant that (even though their fashion sense was poor) they were at least somewhat skilled and coordinated.
“Hey, can you guys just, like, let me go? Kidnapping is super illegal, you know,” He said. “Phantom wouldn't be cool with this.”
One of the figures looked up sharply.
“Do not speak of the Blessed One so casually!” He snapped, voice nearly a hiss. The woman from before, clearly the leader, stepped towards him, placing a gentle hand on the man’s shoulder.
“Be calm, Brother. He is allowed to do so, he is the Blessed One’s own kin after all.”
The man hung his head in acknowledgement, mumbling something, but Danny ignored that.
“What? You think I’m like, related to Phantom or something?” This was new. Usually these kinds of guys went for Danny being the ‘Mortal Link to their Savior’ or something equally as maddening.
A different voice spoke up this time. They were confident, with just a slight touch of arrogance.
“Obviously. We know your family’s secret. We are the Blessed One’s anointed people, we know everything!”
“What?” Danny’s voice pitched slightly higher. These guys were way too close to the truth. Another shorter figure jumped into the conversation.
“You were probably never told. It’s obvious that the ‘Doctors’ Fenton covered up the incident.” Danny could practically hear the sarcasm dripping from the woman’s tone at his parents’ title. “They wouldn’t have wanted you to know that your twin brother ascended to godhood.”
Danny couldn’t help but be flabbergasted. A twin brother? Really? That’s the angle they were going for?
“Okay, if Phantom’s my twin, then why do you have to kidnap me? I think he’d hate you kidnapping his brother even more than a random civilian.”
This time the leader cut off the woman from answering.
“All will be revealed in due time, Mr. Fenton.” She turned, effectively silencing further conversation as she directed the followers once again.
With the last candle placed, someone rang that Ancients-forsaken gong again, and the figures retreated behind the lights once more.
“Oh Blessed One, we, your anointed few, call to you!” The leader chanted.
The runes scratched into the ground glowed ominously, and the cultists gasped with excitement.
“As the veil between worlds thins on this Beltane night, I, Claire Thorgenson, shepherd of your loyal flock, bring you the ultimate vessel.”
She sweeps her arm towards Danny, and the glow intensifies.
“Join with him, your sacred flesh and blood, your other half, and walk the earth once more!” Claire's voice echoed through the area.
Danny twitched. Obviously whatever this ritual was, it wouldn't work. The cultists didn't know that, however. He could have fun with this.
With a blink, he let his eyes glow green, and he shook for a moment in what he hoped were convincing convulsions.
It had the intended effect, the group shuffling forward slightly, whispered words conveying awe and wonder. With one last shake, Danny stilled, and stared out at Claire.
“Unworthy.” He tried to channel the spookier side of his ghostly nature, letting it flow through his vocal chords.
A wave of confusion rippled through the small crowd.
“What?”
“Why would he-”
“Blessed One?”
Claire was the last to speak, voice barely a whisper, though heard by all.
“This is your divine brother though. Why wouldn't he be-”
Danny didn't let her finish, instead snarling and phasing out of his bindings. He let himself float in the rune laden circle, feet inches from the ground.
“No. Unworthy. All of YOU!” His snarl turned into a piercing yell, slightly reminiscent of his ghostly wail. Was it a little overkill? Maybe, but he was mad, ok! He was supposed to be partying it up at the Far Frozen tonight, not here getting sacrificed to himself.
Channeling energy into his palms, he let loose an ectoblast on the floodlights, and they exploded into (hopefully harmless) sparks. Whoops, yeah, maybe he should be more careful.
With a flourish, he let himself dissolve into invisibility, making a bit of a show of it, and turned to fly away. Looking at the tree as he went, he noticed that the group had propped a mini tombstone on it, right where his feet had been. Inscribed on it was a crude drawing of his ghost form, and Danny scowled.
“Now that's just tacky,” He muttered as he shot out of the treeline, ignoring the terrified cries of the cultists below.
Hopefully, he could still get to the Far Frozen in time for the festivities.

We’re back for another year! The 2026 poll is now open, so it’s time to get creative and submit your prompt ideas for this year’s Dannymay. The poll will close at the end of day Tuesday, April 14th, and the official calendar will be posted on Saturday, April 18th.
For those who don’t know, Dannymay is a spin-off from the longstanding Phanniemay prompt challenge where artists, writers, and creatives alike challenge themselves to complete as many prompts in May as they can. Whether you just complete one day or the whole calendar, that is up to you!
This year we will only be accepting general prompts, but feel free to make whatever art, fanfiction, music, or more you’d like involving your favorite AUs and headcanons!

It had been six months since the Fenton boy died. There was no funeral service, but the neighbors weren't surprised. The Fenton parents were always a bit “off” compared to the rest of Amity Park’s residents; muttering weird superstitious nonsense and always dressing in HAZMAT suits of all things. Their children were better in that regard; their daughter thoughtful and intelligent, their son full of childish ambition. After the boy died though, the Fentons retreated inward. They had closed themselves off from everyone, even their own child.
Their daughter, Jazz, was pulled from school one day and sent to live out of state. Supposedly she had been accepted into a prestigious academy. Her parents couldn't afford the move, so instead Jazz was to live with her godfather for the time being. Nobody argued with the logic. After all, it would be better for her to live with someone more ‘normal’ than the Doctors Fenton.
With their children both gone, the Fentons rarely ventured outside. It was only due to the occasional grocery run that the townsfolk would be able to notice the state the two had fallen into. Weary, tired eyes, and greying hair had become the norm for the normally vibrant and boisterous couple. Once again, few bat an eye. It was natural after all, they had lost a child. Such awful happenings would cause inevitable change in the two.

So six months had gone by. Six months where the Fentons had let their home and business to start to decay, and themselves to become haggard. That didn't matter though, not when they were so close.
“How much energy can these outputs handle?” Jack’s question reverberated off the domed walls of the metal chamber he was carefully tightening the bolts of. A shuffling of papers greeted his ears as his wife looked through blueprints and schematics.
“Looks like around 30,000 volts, dear. We might be able to get away with a thousand or so more if we tinker with it a little.”
Jack nodded and stepped out of the chamber, giving it a once over. It was a fairly complicated looking machine, the number of dials and flashing indicator lights attributing to that fact, though it lacked any of the Fentonworks hallmarks. Absent were any decorative streaks of ecto-green or any Fentonworks logos or stickers. The sleek unadorned steel would have been a complete oddity in the lab, had it not been for the large silvery-grey box situated in the corner. It almost looked like a casket, however tubes and wires attached to the sides of the container helped negate that vision.
Turning to Maddie, Jack could see that her gaze rested squarely on the box, the blueprints clutched in her hands like a lifeline. Clearing his throat startled her out of her thoughts, and she carefully smoothed out the slightly crumpled papers.
“I think…we should be fine on the voltage, everything should work,” she said, trying her best to keep her voice steady. Jack nodded, one hand reaching up to run through his short, greying hair once, and then again in a bout of anxiety.
Maddie’s gaze returned to the box, worry lines creasing around her eyes.
”Do you think we can?” She asked, her typical confidence shattered. Jack walked to her side and rested his hands on her shoulders.
“Everything's finally ready Mads, I think it's time.” Maddie nodded and was given a comforting squeeze by her husband before she approached the silvery box. Her gloved hand rested atop its smooth surface for a moment before moving to the wires and tubing, hesitating for just a moment before carefully disconnecting them.
As the wires were pulled from their place, a loud beeping emanated from the box. It echoed around the room, the sound encompassing the space around husband and wife. It was only then that the Doctors Fenton realized how quiet their lab, their home, had become. That one solitary action flooding so much weight onto their decisions, so much heaviness to their lives. How long had it been since they had seen their daughter? Vlad? Any of their family or friends? Was this all a mistake?
No. Maddie shook her head and stepped back to let Jack wheel the box into the chamber. It didn't matter now. Things would be better, so long as everything went well. They could bring Jazz home, be a family again. Whole. Complete. She just needed to make sure this worked.
The beeping continued as the box was moved, long and slow. Once it was secured in the chamber, Jack input a code onto the attached keypad and the beeping stopped. Instead, the top split into two pieces, separating and folding into itself to reveal the precious cargo inside.
Maddie joined Jack in the chamber and for a moment the two could only stare into the box. They found their hands seeking each other of their own accord, gripping tightly together. Waves of cold air began to escape the box, though neither flinched back.
Inside, suspended in cryo-stasis, was Danny. His lips were tinged blue in death, and the rest of his body was covered with a white and black HAZMAT suit. What was visible though, was the pronounced lichtenberg figure stretching across Danny's face, and down his neck before disappearing beneath the suit.
To say their son looked peaceful in death would be a lie. Even now, months after the fact, his face showed hints of the pain Danny had been in during his last moments. Jack and Maddie could only imagine the agony he had been in as he laid in the lab alone, dying from their negligence.
Jack tore his eyes away from their son, guilt overwhelming him, and grabbed the gurney positioned in the middle of the chamber.
“We should, we need to…” he trailed off, unable to finish. Maddie only nodded, unable to look away from their son’s corpse as her husband lined the gurney up flush with the box. Carefully the two lifted Danny out and onto the gurney and connected multiple sensors to Danny’s temples. Maddie brushed her hand over Danny’s hair, unsatisfied with how it laid. It just didn’t look quite right, didn’t feel quite right. This was her baby and she just wanted him to look okay. To be okay. To smile at her before going off to school again. Just…anything. Anything but continuing to face the fact that their work led to their precious son’s death.
Jack placed a hand on her shoulder and she flinched back in surprise. When had he moved? Looking back, she saw that he had already wheeled the box out the chamber. Meeting his gaze, she nodded at the unasked question and followed him out. With the flip of a switch the chamber door sealed shut with a hiss, the control panel’s lights flashing once before numbers and readouts began to fill the small screens.
Last minute checks and adjustments were made, Jack and Maddie practically flying around the room as they rushed to make sure everything was in place. Finally, the two met at the control panel once more. They secured their goggles in place, and Jack pulled Maddie into his side as his hand rested on a lever marked with a red handle. With a final glance towards his wife, he pulled.
Instantly, the room exploded with noise and light. The smell of ozone filled the air and the fluorescent bulbs in the lab flickered with the sheer amount of energy needed to power the chamber which was now radiating sickly green rays. Electricity buzzed, near loud enough to deafen if it weren’t for the Fenton’s custom suits protecting their senses.
Maddie tapped one screen, marked ‘Ecto-Radiation Output’, with her gloved finger. The levels were steady around 3700 millisieverts. It was higher than they had used in any other experiment before, and nearly a fatal level. At least it would be, if Danny weren’t already dead.
The machine had only been operational for just over a minute before the light began to dim, and the dials and readouts slowly dropped back to their non-operational levels as the chamber powered down. Maddie fidgeted, grabbing the bag of medical tools placed nearby in anticipation as the two waited.
With another hiss and a pop, the doors opened, and it was all Jack and Maddie could do to not rip the doors apart as they scrambled into the chamber.
Jack was taken aback by what he saw. Their son’s hair, usually a black untamed mess, was now a shocking white. In fact, most of the colors in the chamber seemed to have been altered. Danny’s HAZMAT suit was now black, the accents a silvery white, and the gurney he laid on seemed to take on an almost green tinge to it. Not that that seemed to matter to Maddie though. If she had taken note of their son’s appearance, she paid no mind to it. Instead she raced to their son’s side and dug a stethoscope out of her bag, checking for a pulse. She was silent for a few moments, expression almost begging as she listened. She let out a haggard breath that she didn’t realize she was holding before turning to her husband.
“It's slow, barely there, but there’s a heartbeat. He’s alive Jack!”
Jack let out a strangled sob, and throwing out all hesitation he initially held, ran to his son’s side.
“Danny, oh my son, my boy,” he whispered through thick tears as he grabbed hold of Danny’s hand and gave it a light squeeze.
As the two relieved parents cried and whispered words of joy and affection towards their son, neither noticed the miniscule shift in Danny’s expression. Briefly, his eyes scrunched as if he were trying to wake from a long sleep. Then, they flickered open.
Danny’s eyes were a deep, empty, soulless red.
His hand twitched within Jack’s grasp, and within a second, was wreathed in green energy.

It had been six months since the Fenton boy died, and first responders once again swamped the house after the neighbors reported a disturbance.
Some thought that the Doctors Fenton had taken their own lives, grief and guilt over their son’s accidental death overwhelming them. Those who had heard the muffled screams knew otherwise.

Time is a fickle thing. Too many think of it in linear and simple terms. Past and present, ancient and far-flung. So few realize its true breadth. Even those with the patience to learn and discover the many multiverses could not understand time's full scope. The threads of existence, employed by just one, were too complex and overwhelming for most, mortal and undying alike, so Clockwork had woven strands together, fabricating new eras and timelines, until those who thought they knew better interfered.
His babysitters, The Observant Council, believed they understood his work, his power. They were wrong though, their minds too burdened by arbitrary rules and parameters to fully understand. Clockwork wasn't just the ‘Ghost of Time’. He was its avatar, time itself given form. The first to come into being, and the last to stand when all life and concept disappears.
So, after witnessing some of his power, The Observants had tried to restrict him, place their own morals and beliefs upon him.
It had worked during Pariah's reign. They had managed to manipulate the foolish ruler into using the sacred items of the Infinite Realms to bind him to the Council's will. Through its avatar, Time had been constrained.
But Time is nothing but patient, and as Pariah fell, the items became dormant. That power granted by the sacred ring and crown began to fade.
Now Clockwork was ready to take back his autonomy. Floating through Long Now, he entered a chamber that had been neglected since the Sarcophagus of Forever Sleep was formed. It was a simple room, dark and free of adornment but for one item. A large loom placed in the center. The fabric strung there had been untouched for centuries, but now?
Clockwork waved a hand over the cloth, and with some concentrated effort, the invisible barrier that had kept him from his loom shifted. A smile stretched across the ghost's ever-changing face. Finally, an opening. Not much, he wouldn't be able to manage more than a thread or two, but those would be more than enough. Enough to topple The Observants, to disturb the order of things.
He looked out into the stretching black void of the room around him, searching for something. It took him a moment, but he found it. In one fluid motion, Clockwork pulled an invisible thread from the air, and as he stretched it, a silver hue began to take shape within the strand. Grabbing the shuttle from the loom, Clockwork wrapped the thread around it before stopping to look upon the fabric. He paid no mind to the parts yet to be worked. What need did he have for the future? No, if he wanted his freedom he needed to introduce this thread back further.
With his finger moving in a slicing motion, the already woven fabric was frayed. The ghost eyed the protruding threads carefully. Anything he replaced would instantly become truth, and he needed to choose wisely. Once he was finished, there was no doubt in his mind that the Council would summon him with questions. Afterwards, they would place him under an even stricter watch. He had managed to appear obedient and compliant for decades to get to this point, and it would be several more before he had another chance like this.
Carefully, Clockwork teased out the thread he wanted. It glowed a radiant pink, the love for a woman evolved into a loyal friendship. It was a fine thread, an admirable trait in the man it came from, but it didn't serve Clockwork's purpose. With a careless flick it was tossed into the surrounding void.
With that thread gone, there was a gap in the fabric, and it rippled as if displeased at the loss. Clockwork let out a chuckle at the sight. It had been so long since he had manipulated time in such a way, and he had almost forgotten its little mannerisms.
Bringing the shuttle to the gap, he guided the new thread through the established weave, snipping it once the gap was made whole once more. The fabric seemed to shudder, and as it shifted a small section split from the rest. It was tiny, only a few centimeters in width, and just starting at the working edge of the cloth. It would be enough though. That one newly fabricated emotion, obsession, would change everything enough to free Clockwork from those damn Observants.
With a satisfied nod, he turned from the loom and returned to his appointed work. He could see it would be a few years away before his freedom would arrive, but he would be patient for the events to come.
On Earth, Vladimir Plasmius’ entire being changed. The cold hands of Time turning his love and devotion into obsession. An obsession that would ultimately consume the man.
But what was one mortal’s life to Time, if not a tool?
Funniest thing u could do is make Danny come out twice like mom...dad... I'm a ghost and his parents being like oh it's okay we still love u at least ur not evil and fucked up like phantom and Danny is like haha..yeah! Yup! Alright. And chickens out of fully coming out until he's forced to actually reveal he's phantom and then blue screens his parents. Peak fiction to me

-The sleazeball ringleader of a body snatching ring who is selling human bodies to vacationing ghosts. It turns out he himself is being consensually overshadowed by his business partner, an equally sleazy ghost.
-Maddie's good old not-at-all-insane archeologist friend who tries to turn herself into a halfa via an ancient sacrificial alter/ritual
-the Vlad-worshipping-cat-cult's* leader, who either believes everything she's spouting or is running a very elaborate con for her own purposes (and might actually be a ghost herself)

-Carol from the Home Owner's Association, a supervillain in her own right
-a well and true ultimate main antagonist for Jack, Maddie, and Vlad, someone who is both intelligent enough and powerful enough to orchestrate their destruction and make it deeply personal while they do so
-a gag villain who's just some random guy who thinks he's in Scooby Doo. His shtick is that he keeps trying commit crimes while wearing increasingly elaborate ghost costumes, and is always getting his ass tackled by Jack Fenton, who falls for his disguise EVERY time. (He starts out trying to rob a bank in a bedsheet and by the end of the season has somehow become a genius engineer who built a ectoplasm powered mech suit in his basement. The trio accepts this as a totally logical progression and never comments on it.) Consider him the Box Ghost of this series.
-Harriet Chin. In this continuity, she has become editor-in-chief of her very own ghost-focused news publication after getting sacked by the Milwaukee Journal in Bitter Reunions. Jack and Maddie Fenton + Vlad are consistent sources of writing material for her. Sometimes she even tags along on missions so she can observe the chaos firsthand (and attempt to flirt with Vlad.)
-A super popular and successful ultra-macho ghost hunter who serves as a rival for Jack specifically. Somebody who swoops in and catches the dastardly specter-of-the-week right after Jack trips on a rock, rolls down a hill, and crushes his wife and screeching best friend underneath his massive body.
-Maddie's older sister, Alicia. Mainly because I think she and Vlad would get along like a house on fire.
-The Guys in White, particularly Agents K and O. No longer full-time antagonists, they often get stuck with the assignments that make them cross paths with Jack, Maddie, and Vlad. None of them like each other (Jack likes Agents K and O, of course, but the feeling is not mutual).
The countdown to Invisobang 2026 begins! For those of you who don't know, Invisobang is a collaborative event for authors, artists, and musicians. Over the course of several months, authors write fanfics, and artists and musicians create pieces based on those fics!
If you want to connect with other creators in the Phandom, this is the event for you!
How does it work?
Authors begin writing as soon as they sign up. Their goal is to write a fic with 5000 words minimum, although there is no maximum. Halfway through the event, they anonymously submit a profile of their fic.
Using these profiles, artists and musicians pick the fics that interest them the most and submit a claim. Mods pair up authors, artists, and musicians based on these claims.
During the second half of the event, authors finish their stories while artists and musicians make their pieces.
At the end of the event, participants share their work during posting week to create a big bang of content for everyone to ooh and aah at!
When is it, and how do I sign up?
Invisobang runs from March 15 to September 7. You will sign up through a Google Form posted here on the blog during our sign-up periods. The sign-up form will also linked in the pinned post.
Sign-up periods:
Authors: February 14–March 15
Beta readers: February 14–June 7
Artists and pinch hitters: May 6–June 7
Anything else I need to know?
The event is hosted through the Invisobang Discord. Participants must have a Discord account and be willing to join.
Co-authors can sign up in teams.
Alternative forms of art (glass, clay, bookbinding, etc.) are allowed, however all artists must be capable of traditional or digital art.
All skill levels are allowed.
All content must be made new for the event, which means no continuing posted wips.
