also every time i see a list on here i eat it up. i love a good list.

Not a huge fan of that many solos under age 10, BUT

that girl must be so brilliant. Learning choreography is hard, and developmentally that many solos plus groups she's in plus all the combo choreo she's learned at conventions... That's very remarkable! I was really happy to see her on stage with her friends at TDA. She was so engaged and happy winning with her team. A real little kid moment.

When I was a little boy, girls used to just do random cartwheels for no reason. Then one day, they stopped. Now that I am a man, no women randomly do cartwheels. This is because society is evil and killed the cartwheel impulse in their soul. They don't even spin horizontally anymore. It's fucked up.

Since it's the end of this dance year, I wanted to say positive things I really liked this year, and everyone feel free to share their positive things too!

Kids wearing full coverage costumes that they look comfortable in!

Kids being encouraged to take breaks from conventions and solos if they are burning out

Scholarships for kids doing intermediate (non-elite) level dancing

Look, I know stars is amazing and whatever, but they pitched such a fit since losing all the overalls in groups, it makes them winning all the categories so suspicious. Like accusing other studios of cheating, saying they didn't deserve it, ect, and then they are winning all the stuff right now. So either they were big babies about nothing, or the judges absorbed this information and changed their minds.

Again, I always say, they are amazing and deserving, and they train harder than I think any child should ever have to. But these things don't add up.

And I think it's not going to help TDA with studio loss for next year.
