I wonder what Vorinism thinks of women wearing fingerless gloves
I swear at least once they go to a bar in like the raunchy side of town and like Adolin or Kaladin is flustered that the barmaids where fingerless gloves
If I were a vorin sex worker I'd wear one.
Jasnah (closeted asexual), Adolin (closeted bisexual) and Elhokar (closeted gay/trans woman) when anyone asks them who's the queer cousin: oh yeah definitely Renarin
Closeted trans woman Elhokar makes a surprising amount of sense to me, largely because of how awkwardly she handles the expectations of manhood and kingship. Also she would have been a lightweaver (whose philosophical ideals revolve around the acknowledgement of difficult personal truths), and is still getting a kind of continued development 2 books after her death.

Oh Mother of a thousand names, veiled in infinite forms and cultural echoes, though I may not always lay physical offerings upon your altar, nor perform rites as the world prescribes, know that my life as a transwoman is a quiet devotion to you, a whispered dedication to your divine essence.
Let my femininity be a sacrament, the blood and ache of my aesthetic transformations a silent offering. Let sitting before the mirror, the morning ritual of sculpting my face, be a sacred moment, a poetic meditation on beauty and self-realization.
In every gesture, every brushstroke, every touch upon my skin-an echo of you, Mother, and of the ineffable mystery you embody.
So I follow N. D. Stevenson (comics writer and animator, most famous for Nimona and She-Ra and the Princesses of Power) and his husband Lee Ostertag (also a comics writer and animator) on Instagram. When I started following them, they were both publicly presenting as women, and then a few years ago N. D. came out as transmasc nonbinary, and then earlier this year Lee also came out as transmasc. Anyway this is all setup to say that Lee had the chance to make the funniest post of all time and he took it:
Absolutely iconic.
hey, trans ppl who've transed multiple times, what path have you trod?
first trans woman, then nonbinary
first trans man, then nonbinary
first nonbinary, then trans man
first nonbinary, then trans woman
first nonbinary, then a notably different nonbinary
first transfem, then a different transfem
first transmasc, then a different transmasc
trans man and stayed that way
trans woman and stayed that way
nonbinary and stayed that way
bruh it's too complicated

Nonbinary is meant as an umbrella for anything not captured by typical understandings of male or female.
Yeah, these aren't entirely mutually exclusive or all-encompassing. It's a Tumblr poll I made in ten minutes. Use whatever feels most true to you, I'm not the gender police, it's just for fun. Write out your story if you want.
Origin: talking to my partner who started as a very binary trans woman and is now a pangender-esque enby. I've played a bit with terms and pronouns and developed my conceptualization, but I've been largely the same type of nonbinary (agender/xenogender/some fucking entity).
Is she the female Ganesha? #shakti #yogini #ganeshani #vinayaki #newbegi...
Literally was googling her an hour or so ago and then this video drops

The idea that some pagans have that you cannot view a deity as a lover, a close friend, as your child, as your parent, is so funny to me as someone who is both Hindu and pagan
In bhakti, there are different types of Bhava, or feelings. There is Shanta Bhava, where the devotee is peaceful. Dasya Bhava, where one serves the deity wholeheartedly and finds joy and bliss in service. Sakhya Bhava, where the deity is a friend of the devotee. Vatsalya Bhava, where the devotee sees the deity as their child. Madhurya/Kanta Bhava, where the devotee sees the deity as their lover.
And to call these practices "humanization of deities" just feels disrespectful to me. If you don't understand it then that's completely fine. But to disrespect forms of devotion just because you think it's "too weird to be real" is just not okay.
