Cater probably self harms too, but isn’t in any sh groups online because he doesn’t like the idea of anyone finding out somehow

He has all the supplies you need no matter how deep you go, if you’re dizzy at all from losing too much blood don’t worry, he’s right by your side helping you clean up and bandaging you up while you rest

After learning about it, he’d probably drop the mask a bit more often knowing that someone similar to him was so much closer than he thought

He knows he can’t force you to stop but he’ll help however he can, whether that’s bringing aftercare supplies or just comforting you after

The sound of plasters being opened could be heard, you sat on the bathroom floor as Cater took care of your wounds, carefully cleaning it and disinfecting around it if really needed

“Cater, you really don’t have to…” “I know I don’t” he interrupted. You hesitated before asking “Then why?” The same question that repeated in your head came up again, but this time you finally asked him, Cater put on the last plaster, checking if your wound was alright before answering “Because I’d rather be comforting a bleeding you than not being able to comfort you at all.” He rubbed your bandaged area gently “You never had to be so patient with me and my facade, yet you chose to be. Let me be here for you.” there was sincerity in his voice, it may have been uncommon for others to see him so serious but you got to see it more often over time.

You lean on him, resting your head on his shoulder, no words were exchanged but the silence was no longer so terrible

He knows far too well of what the pain feels like, because he’s dealt with it for so many years in his life

Cuts, burns, he knows. He knows what could help but he doesn’t know how to help you, because the last thing he’d want to do is mess up

But once you let him in he’s not letting his anxiety stop him, because being here for you matters more

He’ll do whatever he can to help. Need bandages/plasters? He’ll get it. Need an ice pack? Done. Whatever you need he’ll get it for you

He’d never complain once when helping you clean up and take care of yourself after, if you feel safe enough to come to him then he’s treating it like it’s the highest honor because to him it truly is

This is one of the very rare times he doesn’t send Ruggie to get it, it’s none of his business unless you let it be his business

He isn’t good with words, but he’ll show his comfort by being there and maybe with a few words exchanged

Leona held you gently as you both relaxed on his bed, there were no teasing remarks of how you were clinging so much or how it’s too hot for this. It’s just you and him right now, you didn’t need to hide what you did to yourself or pretend there’s nothing going on, because he didn’t feel he had to do that with you too, and that was enough to let you know that while the ache in your heart wouldn’t go away, it would be far less painful to carry.
