This past week I went for a walk with a dear friend of mine on this big nature trail in our city. We walked the 1 mile path twice, and saw lots of interesting plants and even some old, dried up Oyster mushrooms! We also saw a rabbit foraging in the underbrush! These are some of the plants that I saw and learned the identification of! I definitely plan to continue researching these beautiful plants <3
1 - 2 ) Texas Thistle (Cirsium texanum)
3 - 4 ) Mexican Palo Verde (Parkinsonia aculeata)
5 ) Texas Vervain (Verbena halei)
Hi! I hope this message finds you in good health. If slots are still available for your free reading, can I please ask for a reading on my divine counterpart (the one I'm destined to be with in this lifetime)? Thank you so much 💕
- M.I. 🌼
Hello! My apologies for taking so long to get back to you. Life has been busy and I haven't really been active on this account these last few months. ( im also not the best abt checking my asks : / ) The question you asked is pretty broad, though I did draw a card that represents your divine counterpart! The card that ended up being drawn is The Star. This card represents hope, faith, healing, peace, and being acknowledged for your talents and contributions. The Star also encourages you to trust yourself and your intuition ⭐️ I tried to reply privately, but it wouldn't let me. I think that's bc this was an anon ask? Idk.
Washing your face? Cleansing.
Exfoliating? Banishment.
Moisturizing? Charging.
Reblogging because I need to incorporate more simple witchery into mundane daily practices💗

Low Energy Witchcraft
Witchy things for you to do when your energy is low but your need to witch is high.*
Hi-res download available on my ko-fi for monthly and one-time members!
Energy Observation
Not everyone can sit in a serene and silent room and meditate efficiently, so pop on your noise-canceling headphones and maybe do a quick guided meditation to help get in tune with the flow of energy in your body. Simply observe, don’t try to force energy to flow
Tea spells
Herbal teas are great for spells because they already have “spell components”—herbs—and they’re designed to be easy to make. Choose a tea that incorporates herbs that fit the intentions of your spell. If you have the energy for it, come up with a prayer, chant, or rhyme for your spell while you wait for the tea to brew!
Touch Grass
No really—go outside and just appreciate the nature around you try to see if you can let go of yourselves and just be a part of the world around you.
Spiritual Soup
If you can’t go outside then try to get in tune with your indoor space and allow yourself to become part of the spiritual soup that is your living space.
Digital Offerings
If you can’t physically create an offering for the deities, spirits, etc in your life, make a digital offering. You could create a mood board, collage, cobble together a Pinterest board, and more. The possibilities are endless!
*Keep in mind that this is my personal experience and your mileage may vary. While these seem pretty low energy for me and others, this may not be the case for you. Take what clicks with you and leave what doesn't.
reblogging this as someone who is deeply spiritual, but also experiences moments of very low energy 💗 I've found both taking time to experience nature and energy observation to be especially helpful. Take a moment to really feel and observe your environment and your own energy. Breathe deeply in your natural rhythm as you do 💙
My second post about spending some time with the bayside wetlands 💙
1 ~ A little channel of water lined with Black Mangroves. I've been learning more about them lately. These trees are extremely important for the ecosystem, as they provide shelter and hunting grounds for many wildlife species. Black Mangroves also trap carbon dioxide in their roots, and stabilize the shoreline by preventing erosion, protecting the state of the ecosystem
2 ~ wild Goldenrod! Goldenrod is a medicinal plant with many properties. Though so far I've only used it in teas intended for respiratory health and allergy relief
3 ~ a section of some smaller and more shrub-like Black. Mangroves
4 ~ storm clouds rolling in as I rested on the beach. I left as soon as it began to drizzle. I found a good few beautiful and fully intact giant Atlantic cockle shells. I find these by walking about knee deep in the water, and looking next to crab and sand flea holes in the sand for the shells discarded after they've eaten their mollusk meal
5 ~ some species of lichen that I saw all over sections of the bayside boardwalk. If anyone could identify it, I'd appreciate it!
6 ~ A colorful bird (I don't know this species' name yet : ( using the shelter that Black Mangroves provide fish as his hunting ground
7 ~ The tallest I've seen Black Mangroves grow! These were easily 15+ feet tall!
8 ~ gator tracks? I'm not sure as I'm unfamiliar with identifying tracks, but I'd love to learn! There were also flattened beds of grass nearby, which also made me think these may be gator tracks
9~ a wide area of Black Mangroves! These beautiful trees can go on for miles when given the opportunity ✨️
A couple days ago I went to a local nature center. I'll be making another post about some specific plant life, but this post is about the overall environment and some of the wild birds and sanctuaried alligators here. This very beautiful and unique place consists of about 50 acres of wetlands along the bay! It's possible that my Coahuiltecan ancestors migrated to this area depending on food availability throughout the seasons, for plant medicine, and for tool and art crafting materials like wetland grasses and reeds, bones, feathers, shells, and seeds
Pic 1 ~ An overall look at a section of the area, including the bay
2 ~ A wide expanse of Black Mangroves, an extremely vital tree to the ecosystem, and a very spiritual as well as medicinal botanical
3 ~ I'm not sure what this colorful dude's name is but I also see them often in my city! If someone could help me ID him, I'd appreciate it! <3
4 ~ White Ibis, preparing to fly off
5 ~ Big Padre!! A rescued 12' 7" gator, and his lovely wife, Lady Laguna!! I love them, relationship goals fr
6 ~ Some kind of blue Heron, though I'm unsure of the exact species. If anyone knows, I'd appreciate if you could help me ID him!
7 ~ Creepy front view of a Great Blue Heron staring at me
8 ~ A gator using a cattail stump as a pillow! 😭 Too cute not to share

BEAUTIFUL art reblog 💗
I'm reblogging this bc I know I need to get back to speaking my money manifestions and feeding my money bowl regularly again! I need to share a close up of what it looks like soon because I absolutely love my money bowl set up! I use a clamshell as a bowl and it rests on a small slab of Green Aventurine on my altar, with a Citrine and Green Aventurine stone next to it 🌱💚✨️
I just woke up at 7 am exactly w a weird feeling, then a few minutes later my whole room is rumbling and I can hear the glass in my window rattling. It lasted about a minute or two. I actually thought there was an earthquake for a few minutes there. But no, just Space-X launching their "Super Heavy" rocket, the "most powerful launch vehicle ever built', about 25 minutes away from my home. I cannot even describe how much I hate Space-X for all that they've done to my community and the environment in which we live. Musk has inflicted SEVERE and unforgivable harm upon land extremely diverse in plant and animal species (we have the 2nd highest concentration of wildlife next to Everglades!!), has made sea turtle nesting sites unsafe and unusable for the turtles, and is encouraging the gentrification of our culturally unique border community. Not to mention, the land which he disrespects so blatantly is occupied by the Carrizo Comecrudo tribe and is extremely significant to the indigenous peoples of this region. My own ancestors relied on this coastal environment for nourishment and safety, and it has always been a source of peace and love for my family and myself.

Yesterday I spent the day having a beach visit with a good friend 💗 The weather was good but the water was pretty cold (almost like we were at the beach in November lol) We found some Coquina clams (including THE biggest one I've ever seen irl!!) to make broth with for miso soup. And then to clean and use their pretty shells for making jewelry ofc! I also found some really good shells and shell fragments to use for jewelry making too! Sometimes I feel like the ocean's energy really stays with me after I've left her, and I always love that feeling. This has been one of those times 🌊
My heart is full. My spirit feels warm and held ♡ My ancestors and I shared pan de muerte and cranberry juice! Final result of my Dias de Los Muertos altar setup. The orange candle is intended to represent calendula flowers, which I unfortunately didn't grow this year. I dressed it in a pomegranate and vanilla essential oil blend and the loose herbs that I chose. Of which included Rose petals, Mugwort, Jasmine, and Cinnamon ♡ I also used small chunks of pink Himalayan salt to represent the 4 directions, so my intentions would flow clearly through each direction 🌊 The seashells are for the same purpose, as well as to honor the environment that has nourished and provided for me and my ancestors 🐚 If anyone has any questions, my asks are open!
This meme is a MURDER ATTEMPT.
I am absolutely fucking serious. The original meme, without the big red denial, is someone's attempt to fucking kill people.
There is NO SAFE DOSAGE of pennyroyal oil. Even Mother Earth News says there's no reason to use pennyroyal essential oil for ANYTHING, even topically or as a fragrance, for fuckssake! That should give you some idea about how dangerous it is!
Pennyroyal tea, plant matter in hot water, is a traditional abortifacient. It is *incredibly* dangerous, induces abortion by bringing the body close to organ failure (and frequently pushing the system right over the edge, because dosage is impossible to meter), but I would drink a gallon of it before I took a half-teaspoon of pennyroyal essential oil.
Two teaspoons, taken across 48 hours, has successfully killed someone.
Three teaspoons taken as a single dosage killed the consumer within THREE HOURS.
There is NO SAFE DOSAGE! FOR PENNYROYAL OIL INTERNALLY! NONE!
The person who made this meme is PURPOSEFULLY, ACTIVELY, trying to get desperate people killed!
