I can’t tell if it’s funnier that Bruce decided to chuck Tim on Dick by surprise — no warning, no boundaries, directly to his apartment — the second Tim officially became Robin
Or that Dick was completely cool with this and, in fact, demonstrably happy to see him. The kid he interacted with only a couple times before this. No mention of the lack of a plan, no mention of the fact that he was either asleep or trying for the first time in ages to relax, no comment on the robe.
Step one of this relationship was crashing a guy’s apartment and confessing your deepest concerns while he was shirtless, and Dick was on board the entire time. Hair ruffle and listening to venting included.
Dick had no chance. It was over before it began. Absolutely done for. Tragic.

life pro tip: if you happen to be considering purchasing an LG TV or monitor, you possibly want to pick something else! and if you have an LG monitor that has not been plugged into anything in a while, you might want to leave it that way!
if you already have an LG monitor or TV or intend to buy one, you probably want to watch this video and keep an eye on gamers nexus for updates (or anyone else covering the LG spying situation):
posted july 16 2026
LG is doing some bad things. how bad? well. here are some very brief bullet points. I am not an expert, gamers nexus is, see the video for more information than this:
LG monitors (brand new and years old, cheap and expensive) auto-install LG's own adware-spyware called LG Monitor App onto windows 10 and 11 computers. you plug in an LG monitor for video output and this gets installed automatically. no hitting OK, no confirmation, no toggles, NOTHING.
the auto-installed LG Monitor App auto-grants itself access to your internet connection and ALL computer resources. the LG Monitor App has the ability to collect: geolocation data, device data, personal information, online activity data, contact data, and more!
...and it shows pop-up ads! because fuck you
on some affected versions of windows, auto-installed shitware like the LG Monitor App can be prevented by navigating to gpedit.msc -> computer configuration -> administrative templates -> system -> device installation -> prevent automatic download of applications associated with metadata
...but, if your LG monitor already installed the LG Monitor App, this is like closing the barn door after the horse got out. and that horse has the logs of everything you were doing on your computer! someone stop that fucking horse!!!
unrelated to the LG Monitor App, many LG TV owners are now required to tell all household members and guests that their LG TV is recording and processing ALL nearby voices. or else they may be in violation of local eavesdropping and wiretapping laws. for owning a fucking LG TV.
plus, how many businesses, workplaces, public spaces use LG TVs?
allegedly the microphone spying can be turned off by disabling microphone features, but LG has been caught disregarding opt-out settings before.
LG TVs can record everything that happens on the TV, including the video output of connected devices like phones, computers, gaming consoles, anything that happens on the TV screen.
LG was sued for their spying, and as a result of that spying suit, now shows pop-ups saying oops! they got caught spying and intend to continue spying. thanks for buying LG!
as of when the video was posted, there was no list of every spying LG monitor or TV. but this stuff is getting rolled out to more and more LG devices, including those purchased years ago.
and that is the shortest summary I can make of this situation without just summarizing more of the gamers nexus video.
Update: We are working on a follow-up to the LG story and have some disturbing findings re: LG's products. It will take us a while to parse
⬆️posted july 23 2026
gamers nexus is fairly respected in technology journalism. they fly around the world investigating companies that fuck people over and have pressured major companies to make major changes over the years.
so for gamers nexus to say that this LG spying situation is both unprecedented in how uniquely bad it is in this era of spying, and that it gets even worse than their video where they already say to stop buying and using LG products while recanting every prior recommendation for LG products?
oooooofff
children heed my warning. one day your body’s check engine light will come on and demand that you start eating so many vegetables and whole grains. do not ignore it.
I want to explain this a bit more since 'health' and 'biology' are loosely speaking, special interests of mine and also what I went to school for.
People SAY that your health 'suddenly' starts to decline in your 30s but that's not really a good way to put it A) bc that's not really accurate and B) bc it frames this decline as something inherent and unavoidable, which does nothing to convince you that you have some agency about this.
So I'm going to explain this in LOOSE NON-SCIENTIFIC language:
When you are an infant or child, you are actively growing. Nature is throwing tons of new cells into you bc your body needs to BUILD BUILD BUILD. What you're able to do, eat and heal from is all largely dictated by this-- for example little kids often LOVE sweet foods or dairy-like foods and are relatively less interested in anything else. This is bc their body is running on HIGH all the time since building body parts is very energetically intensive. They can eat a fistful of sugarcubes and burn them off in an hour. Ask me how I know.
When you are a YOUNG ADULT you are actually still developing to a secondary extent, but your bones and such are fused and now that development goes into solidifying the structure and also finetuning its reproductive capabilities and features-- these, too, are HIGHLY energy consumptive when they first come online. Nature is STILL, thus, throwing tons of energy and new cells your way hoping you'll do something cool with them. You regenerate very quickly, and recover from harm rapidly-- But please note: swift recovery from harm is not absence of harm. This most relates to the consumption of 'junk food' and alcohol-- many people say they could 'eat whatever they wanted and nothing would happen' when they're in their 20s or that they could go out drinking and 'not be affected'. You were affected. You didn't notice.
Once everything has come online you go into maintenance mode. Nature stops throwing excess cells and energy your way bc you don't need that-- your body is yours and you are now responsible for maintaining it...hopefully with what you learned by experience in your 20s. IF YOU WERE NOT PAYING ATTENTION, you did not learn this, and are in for a surprise in your 30s bc your 'free recovery' subscription has ended. Recovery and maintenance- processes that are constant in the human body- now cost MINERALS & ELECTRICITY. You can go into DEBT now, and that debt will come in the form of joints that pop, inability to recover well, lowered immune function, and feeling like shit.
This debt accrues interest RAPIDLY once you hit 36-- the age of around 36 to 46 or so is a kind of reckoning stage where Nature assesses how well you've managed your body and you will be SWIFTLY downgraded if the result is you were just winging it.
So how do you build this account? 2 main things ( LOOSELY SPEAKING this is so not 100% scientific but I have to be general here): MINERALS -- you get these from eating well, mostly. You might want to take supplements based on your unique needs. But you need Minerals & Vitamins (i'm lumping these two together) bc they are the chemical building blocks (currency) your body uses to rebuild and fix up cells. ELECTRICITY is- again loosely speaking- having the proper chemical voltage throughout your body. This 'voltage' drops when you don't move enough, or when you're dehydrated. The building and repairing process your body wants to do may have the materials (minerals and vitamins) but there's not enough power in the factory, or the AC isn't working and the workers are overheating and can't work well. To fix this, drink lots of water and MOVE AND STRETCH your body. The action within your muscles and bones GENERATES ENERGY and it keeps your cells happy.
So the thing is, it's not that you suddenly find yourself taking damage after 30+. You were taking damage the whole time. You're just kept from really feeling it bc you're young and full of extra juice and given time to figure things out.
But at some point Nature expects you to do that, and you will pay if you don't.
Best to start out giving a shit, even if none of your friends think you're cool, even if you get called a 'health nut' bc you will still be able to frolick at 45, 50, probably so on while everyone who said it was dumb to have 'balanced meals' shares memes about how they wake up feeling like shit every day.
Sidenote don't let our shitty fatphobic society obscure the fact that it's okay to care about what you eat. Counting calories or being preoccupied with physical perfection is a sad way to relate to your body BUT that doesn't mean that paying attention to your diet AT ALL is bad. Baby, bath water, etc.
My goat ranting has been justified for this day.

[ID: A digital illustration of Kaladin by @pekgna. The portrait, lovingly detailed and almost realistic, shows him from the collarbones up, facing left. He’s holding his right hand to his face, thumb to his jaw, two fingertips on his forehead and two across his nose, as if he has a headache and also needs to hide his blush. He looks forward, brown eyes focused on the distance, and his lips are toying with the idea of smiling. His hair is pulled back in a low tail, and two wisps of hair fall to the sides of his face, caressing his cheek. Surprise, it’s a gif! Little chibi Adolin and Shallan hop and skip adorably around Kaladin’s head, either unknowing, uncaring, or possibly even revelling in the psychic damage they’re causing Kaladin as he can’t help but think of them. End ID.]
turns out it was cause they were just straight up eating the poisoned food out of rat traps which has a blue dye in it and had just developed a near total immunity another W for the glorious hog
The thing is that Batman DOES have a sense of humour.
But his sense of humour is made for his OWN amusement and that's why nobody gets it.
or finds it funny.
Think whatever you want about Scott Snyders Batman, but he gets Bruces humor really well.
he's such a little gremlin man just out here heeho chortling to himself
i know that bruce being emotionally constipated is a comedy staple in a lot of batfam fics, but i have a headcanon that bruce does understand emotions fairly well but ONLY in the context of how his family handles/reacts to them. for example:
tim, holding his side and stumbling up to his bedroom: ow, ow, ow, ow ow-
bruce, hovering but not doing anything because his feral child will hiss and hide his injuries for months if he makes him feel cornered: do you want me to help directly or leave The Offerings?
tim, sullenly: offerings, please
bruce: *piles a bunch of medical supplies in tim's customized Injury Offerings bag (covered in Young Justice and weird animal stickers) and leaves it outside of his door like a sacrifice*
two days later
WE employee: *gets bad papercut* oh, jeez, this hurts
bruce, malfunctioning in the hallway because he literally watched three of his gremlins refuse to treat a broken rib like two hours ago: do you want The Offerings?
WE employee, used to their boss' eccentricities: no i'll just use the first aid kit, thank you Mr Wayne.
new intern, pale and shaking: oh god its a cult, i knew it, the health benefits were too good i'm gonna die-
like bruce can understand and interpret the meanings of other people's emotions, he just has horrible reference points. he stays completely straight faced and sometimes even looks wistful when cursed out by a random board member, but gets misty eyed when he finds random rocks stuffed in his suit jacket pockets (jason shows affection through volume and damian/tim/duke/steph put rocks in his clothes when they're grateful but don't wanna be mushy about it) i believe this wholeheartedly let bruce wayne be a good dad I SWEAR
it is actually so important to me to be alone at my house
"Thank you for being here, Bruce."
"I wouldn't be anywhere else."
