i think it's interesting how in its a terrible life zachariah transports dean to this alternate normal version of his life and when he inevitably ends up hunting again zach's like see it's in your blood. and like he's conveniently steering clear of the question of why he had to bring sam into the whole charade. sam's not learning any lessons. he's still a part of this. I wonder why? perhaps for the same reason that dean goes to sam in the pilot episode huh? perhaps for the same reason that dean settles down with lisa at the end of season 5. dean's not doing this without his brother and even zachariah knows it.

@30-to-50-plastic-spiders yeah exactlyyyyy and you're right he was !! sam had these dreams and he was convinced this isn't what he should be doing with his life meanwhile dean's just knee deep in his healthy detox juice

not sure if zachariah intentionally let sam have memories/dreams of his old life to get the ball rolling or if that's just a sammy winchester thing but either way he's doing all the "bro trust me" heavy lifting in that episode. by the time they actually start hunting dean has at least SEEN the ghost with his own eyes sam's just like no yeah i believe it no proof needed.

and after they finish the job he's like "dude you know what i think we should RUN AWAY together and hunt monsters" and dean's just like what is Wrong with this guy

Cas should have done more celestial horror type shit when communicating with Dean, more strange dreams that are just vibes (rancid), more tv static that almost looks like a face, almost sounds like a voice, but not. Weird voices on the radio, familiar songs but the lyrics are wrong, people walking up to him and saying 'Im sorry but I just had the strangest feeling that I needed to tell you that you're in danger', more lights popping and buzzing and flickering going out when he's on the wrong path, glowing brighter when he's going where Cas wants, and Dean the whole time Dean is rolling his eyes and huffing and pulling his hair like "DUDE! STOP BEING MYSTERIOUS I NEED ANSWERS?"
