He nodded and shoved his hands in his pockets, “You’re right. If you don’t want to see me anymore I’ll understand.”
“Stop.” Jo approached Nathan. “Don’t say that. I don’t not want to see you anymore.” She looked at the man standing in front of her. “I ... like you.”
“There’s nothing you can do. I don’t know what you expected me to do anyways. But let me know if I need to get another intern on this case or for that matter, all of my cases.” The redhead took the chart to the prep nurse to have it delivered to the OR before heading to the scrub room.
Jo sighed, her attending was right. What could they do? All the young surgeon could do was suck it up, or be kicked off of Dr. Montgomery’s service, and she definitely didn’t want that. “No. You won’t be needing another intern. I want to stay on your service.”

He chuckled. “I don’t think so.” Lee winked jokingly. Then thought. “The bacon sandwiches. That’s all I ever get. And a cup of coffee.”
The girl nodded her head. “Bacon sandwich and coffee it is.” She said, as she put her menu down. “For this being your favorite place, you haven’t had much here.”
"Just put one foot in front of the other, just get through the day."
“I don’t know if I can do that, anymore.”
Callie pretended to think long and hard about the question, when in all actuality she already knew the answer– shots. “I say we go with something that’s going to knock us on our asses, something that’s the least forgiving– how do you feel about shots of tequila? Or any liquor, really.”
“How do I feel about it?” She asked. There could only be one answer. “I say bring it on. Two shots of Joe’s strongest tequila?”
“I just..didn’t know how to go about saying it..” he let out a sigh. This was always the hard part. “A lot of people are judgemental, Jo. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you but you have to understand how hard this is for me.”
“I – I get it.” The woman shook her head. She knew this was hard on him. “I just wish you knew me well enough to know that you could’ve been upfront with me about it in the first place.”

sorry i haven’t been on at all in the past few weeks, with the holidays, work, etc. i’ve been too busy to come on and rp. i should’ve announced a semi-hiatus or s/t, but i didn’t expect to not come on lmao. if you’ve been waiting for a thread response from me, i’m sorry!! i won’t be dropping threads, so i’ll get to everything. i haven’t abandoned this account lol. i’m hoping i can get on this weekend and start rp-ing again. :)
