Literally me if I’m being honest

“i am a monument to all your sins” is such a fucking raw line for a villain it’s amazing that it came from halo, a modernish video game, and not some classical text or mythos
classic texts have nothing on the crazy people come up with in modern times tbh
“I survived because the fire inside me burned brighter than the fire around me.”
– Joshua Graham, Who Is A Fallout New Vegas NPC, Something Most People Throwing This Quote Around Don’t Realize
“If the world chooses to become my enemy, I will fight like I always have.”
– Shadow the Hedgehog in what is widely considered one of if not the single worst game in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise
this is the source for this text and it haunts me on a regular basis
“Pick a god and pray.”
-Fredrick from Fire Emblem Awakening
Huh, it’s almost like art isn’t just fine art…
this is my addition to this ever growing list of raw quotes originating from unexpected sources
#discovering that the profound is lurking behind the absurd#just waiting for the chance to peek through like sunlight through the clouds#is one of the best things in life once you start to notice it
this is a beautiful way to put it and i’m gonna cry abt it
Today i had the experience of olive oil smelling like freshly cut grass... So that was new
Someday i want a job that pays me well enough for me to be able to buy honey without feeling guilty for my wallet.
A novel by me...
Beach
“Everything hurts,” he said and folded into himself.
She looked at him with perfect indifference and said: “everything hurts when you are living, now get up on your feet and walk in step with me”.
And he rose and walked beside her in the sand, never speaking of an unknown pain again.
Let’s review.
YEP.
NOPE.
Yuh huh.

Growing up in the 80s and early 90s really made quicksand a thing to be feared.
Your only real danger from quicksand is getting stuck in a tidal area and drowning when the tide comes in
the fear is back
There’s also that dry quicksand shit
What makes dry quicksand different?
It dry
idk why you used that Princess Bride gif when that’s clearly lightning sand
These people don’t know the difference between Lightning Sand, Pea Sand, Pebble Sand, Drum Sand, Glass Sand, Moist Sand, Shadow Sand, Rice Sand, Fine Sand, Dusty Sand, Chipped Sand, Grit Sand, Crystal Sand, Glow Sand and Scrape Sand.
I’m not even going to try to pretend I know more than half of those
Lightning Sand is actually sand that’s been struck by lightning and makes glass. Pea sand is sand that is not quite the size of peas but close. Happens mostly where sandstone cliffs get a lot of upward and sideways winds over thousands of years, breaks nodules off and rolls them into spheres. Pebble sand is irregular shaped grains about the size of pea sand. Drum sand is sand that actually vibrates when you either walk on it or the wind blows on it. The sand dune voice noises you hear are drum sand. Glass sand is sand made from glass fragments. Moist sand is sand that has water under it so you dig down and hit moist sand, it clumps. Shadow sand is sand that is black, usually made from lava flows that have been ground down to pumice. Rice sand is sand that has grains the size of rice grains. Fine sand is the sand you use for hourglasses and the like. Dusty sand is mostly dust with some fine grains, more or less powder. Chipped sand is sand that has chips of rock and other debris in it like sticks and bone. Grit sand is sand that is gritty enough to rub against itself and hear crunching. Crystal sand is sand that is made from quartz or other mineral crystals. Glow sand is yellow uranium sand, was used in Vaseline glass to make it yellow green. Called Vaseline glass because it has a look like it’s Vaseline. That’s the stuff I inhaled. Scrape Sand is sand is any sand being blown around fast enough to scrape paint or skin off something.
I live where there’s a lot of sand.
Reblog for all the various types of sand.
You forgot the most deadly sand of all
Gotta reblog again for that.
I love the rain
I have always loved the rain. Not the slight drizzle that makes the outside world cold, but the big drops of water that falls from the sky. The summer in Denmark is always everything else but sunny and warm but still. Rain on a summer day is always the best. I feel happy. Summer rain is the most beautiful sigt you can behold when you have had a bad day, or you just feel down.
The hidden bunker under the bunker
You know those dreams that seem sad when you wake up, but when you are in the dream you do not feel like that? I had one of those today. I was living in a hidden bunker under another bunker. Everybody above ground thought that this bunker was abandoned. The world was post-apocalyptic. I didn’t see the sky, or anything else but this bunker, but i knew that the world was no more. I remember in my dream that we sometimes could see lights coming from the ventilation. This light came from the flashlights from searching bandits and scavengers. A mom came running up to her child saying she was scared. The chilld shushed her. If we made a sound when we saw those lights we were sure to be found. When i woke i felt sad. But in the dream i felt nothing but hope. I remember in the end of the bunker there was a simulated field filled with flowers and grass. We could not walk in this field, but we could sit just outside of it, and see as the sun we hadn’t seen for months shine in an untochable paradise. Nothing but hope.
SPOILER ON THE BOOK OF ELI!
I have been thinking. In a post-apocalyptic world you will always see the main character alone, and a large society of people with one strong leader. Often times this leader is a form of religios person or perhaps even a god. In The Book Of Eli christianity is a big part of the story, where Eli is the last holder of the symbol of god. Another man wants to be the holder of this power, and begins a journey of self corruption after Eli. The one who speaks the words of god is the one who will recieve it all. It is a beautiful film where the talk sound like music, in a world where people have never heard the sound of music before. Only the sound of silence.
This is my own opinion of the film.
In a small town
Through a strangers eyes this town is large and filled with interesting and colorful people. The train passes through once every hour both ways, and a bus arrives at the station every 2-3 hours depending on the time of the day. A local knows better through. Half of the town is industry, and the interesting people? They live a town over, and the colorful people are students, who dream about a car, and the dream job far away. Every single brick in this town has been replaced at some point because of rain, wind and age. People stays inside, and waits for the winter to be over, and the summer to be warmer than the last. It is not bad though. When people do come out they are nice and polite. You can talk with one from the other side of the town in our only foodstore and catch up with the latest gossip, or talk with people you normally do not see. Life out here is nice and quiet and sure, when you come from a town with the same name as mine you are bound to hear every penis joke in the book, but they are only funny the first couple of 100 times. The point is, even though i live in a small town filled with people who never leave it again, and even though you can sometimes feel like a starnger even though you have lived here your whole life it does not matter. I know the towns people care about me, and i care about them. I do not know everyone by name, but everyone is guaranteed to know everyone and everything. A small town like this never holds it’s secrets for long, and that is a rule you will always remember no matter where you end up in life.
