Camping was crazy FUN. it was freezingggg cold but once we got the fire going it got easier. camping in november isn't the greatest idea when you have a tent with a mesh top. our tent ended up being a mess of tarps and broken tent pieces, but it worked. It was very convenient to have a shop rite, dollar store, dunkin donuts and diners close by. (i guess we sorta cheated a bit, but it was still alot of fun. the diner we went to was right on the border of NY and it was so good. it was a great experience and i wouldn't change it for anything.

Happy 93 bday pop pop. I only hope I have love like this one day.

Space Farms

Space Farms in Sussex was a lot of fun. Our adventure day had as many creepy encounters as it did fun and uplifting ones. When you park across the street (at the taxidermy office) you think it doesn't get any creeper until you actually cross the road and enter the tall roomed filled with dead stuffed animals. At first your brain is like "HEY RUN FOR THE HILLS" which is actually possible because Sussex is filled with beautiful hill and mountain formations. Any way just when you think thats as creepy as its gonna get you enter the room which is filled with what can only be described as the organized hoarding room. And what was collected? Dolls and dead animals in jars of course! The shelves packed with jars; dead cats floating in a fruit salad jar from the 1940s side by side with calf embryos and snake heads, it isn't exactly easy on the stomach. But its cool in like a mad scientist kind of way. Anyway, the rest of the farm is really cool. It was awesome to interact with animals in a new way. They are all so familiar with humans so they will come up to you and let you touch and feed them it was awesome to get to connect with them in that way. On the way home I was drawn to this small shop in a town we were passing through. When we got there i was about to say "i don't know why were here lets go" but something in my head was saying "Go inside your here" so i did. When i entered the shop there was a basket with "comforted crosses" it was sort of out of place in the store but all the sudden everything clicked. The dream i had last night of my pop-pop, being drawn to the shop, the crosses. The last time i saw a comfort cross was in my pop-pop's hands. He was describing how he never knew what to say when he prayed and this was his way of praying without saying any words he would hold it and be comforted. It was an awesome feeling to think i was actually drawn to this store to see this. Was it just a coincidence? i don't think so. I haven't ever seen one. It was an awesome feeling to end our Adventure day on. We stopped at this ice cream place called ' The Sprinkle Shack' on the way home. It really was an Amazing day. The traveling made me realize that i really want to make a photo book and travel across the country. I love the back roads and the people you come across on the way and the feelings that you encounter. Im currently trying to come up with photo book ideas and a way i could afford a trip like that. Its exciting how a small trip could mean so much.
