since i haven’t gotten jackie’s bio up yet bc it’s 1:32 am :

jackie is the sister of @procedur9l , an experiment oc who was taken when they were both young to be used by hawkins lab. this left jackie , then called andrea , to be an only child who lived in the shadow of her brother’s disappearance. her parents were incredibly strict due to their fear of losing her like they did their son , and soon their family was caught up in the media frenzy of a missing child case. the media labeled her as the jackson girl , the child left behind in her brother’s wake. the dehumanizing term which people called her out of pity. oh , dear , you’re the jackson girl , aren’t you ? her life became consumed with her brother’s disappearance , and her parents spent tons of money , time , and attention trying to find the son the police have marked dead. she grows up living the life that he should’ve lived , and for that she feels guilt. why didn’t they take me instead ? the jackson girl became a dancer , ballet and other forms , and it became the only thing that grounded her. something that was hers. she claimed the name jackie as her own , a shortened version of the jackson girl. a way to give herself an identity and clarity. she takes the power away from those who say it to mock her or to feel bad for her : it’s just her.

she’s seventeen when she gets a scholarship to a college on a dance scholarship. she’s eighteen when she injures her knee bad enough that you can’t dance professionally anymore. the one sense of purpose she’s had is now gone. the jackson girl doesn’t have plans for the future anymore , since her parents spent college money on campaigns to try and find their missing child. but that doesn’t stop her from going forward in life. and soon , she finds a purpose again. A LEAD. it comes when things in hawkins doesn’t go as planned , and the jackson girl is dragged into a world she never thought imaginable. but she finds out about hawkins lab , and she begins to connect the dots.
