And you can see it on his face, how it is absolutely killing him to let her go.  And even worse, you can see the fear, how terrified he is that this time, this will be the last time he sees her.  “I can’t lose you again.” Mike Wheeler isn’t exaggerating. He knows that he wouldn’t be able to handle losing her a second time
