felix wasnât sure about camping, he wasnât sure about anything really. if he was being completely honest. âhey, can you help me?â he questioned someone passing by. âdo you know anything about camping? because - i mean iâve never done this before and i really donât know what the hell iâm doing. you look like you could help me! iâm felix, gang soohan. maknae of alone, meme of the world. the one who square dances alone, walks off of airplanes and is just generally a really cool guy.â he introduced himself, bowing at the other.
Jaegar wasnât entirely sure how to respond to this, first of all; he didnât know anything about camping. Heâd never been, he instead spent his Holidays going over advanced mathematical equations. Not everyoneâs idea of âthrillingâ at all. Secondly; he had introduced himself in a way that way very foreign to Jaegar. Never once had he heard someone comment on their square dancing in a introduction before. He guessed it was some strange idol 4-D thing he hadnât yet understood yet. âIâm Jaegar Choi. I want to say I can help you but, I donât know the first thing about camping.â
âYep.â Junghwan shrugged his shoulders before whistling in response to the otherâs reply. âOoh, the OC. Nice, nice.â He grinned before giving the other a thumbs up, then tilting it halfway, then tilting it all the way down. âDid you like it? Do you miss it?â
When he finally turned back to face the other, Jaegar was smiling at him even while rolling his eyes. âIâm calm. Totally calm.â Junghwan squeezed his eyes shut when his voice pitched higher on the last word of his sentence, betraying his inner turmoil. âBeing a bit extra is right,â he mumbled, eyes still closed as he brought his hands up to cover the embarrassed flush that was certainly on his face now. âIâve never been called cute in my life, except by. Like. Relatives when I was retally little. I think. Calm yourself, buddy. You can be the cute one in this bromance.â

Jaegar shrugged, he wasnât sure if he did miss California. He missed the people there, but the atmosphere was unbearable. âNot really, at all.â He gave the other another shrug of his shoulders. âDo you?- Miss it I mean.â
Jaegar let out a laugh as he heard Junghwanâs voice pitch up as he spoke, âAre you sure youâre calm? I think Iâd have to beg to differ.â He raised an eyebrow, crossing an arm over the other. âWell, now you can say someoneâs called you cute. Though - take it with a grain of salt, yeah? I wouldnât want you to go around thinking I think youâre great or something. Youâre just okay.â He teased, âThis bromance? I wasnât aware we were in a bromance, or that you thought I was cute.â
[ msg: ( insert name ) ] istg im ready to explode [ msg: ( insert name ) ] do you know what month it is??? [ msg: ( insert name ) ] it is october omg [ msg: ( insert name ) ] Halloween is among us and im not prepared [ msg: ( insert name ) ] come with me to buy candy :)))
[to: Ryumin]Â No
âNo way,â Junghwanâs eyebrows shot up at the otherâs reply. Suddenly, he was all too eager to speak in English, and so speak in English he did. âI was technically born here, but Iâm kind of from California too. Saratoga, actually. You?â He felt his cheeks warm at the otherâs words. Giggle? He had giggled? Fuck. âY-You heard nothing,â he stammered while looking away. Barney Stinson didnât giggle. Hell, he never really giggled before this false persona either. And why did the other have to comment it was endearing? Hell, heâd never been called endearing or anything close to it in his life either. The other maleâs words were getting under his cover and under his skin, and he didnât like it.
âHey, thatâs mean,â Junghwan interjected before exaggeratedly pouting in the otherâs direction. âI could say cooler than, uh, snow. Would that make it better?â He shook his head before smiling slightly at the otherâs words. âPhew, okay. Donât know what I would have done if you suddenly called me lame or something.â Not that the otherâs opinion should even matter to him anyway. They had just met, and he was supposed to act like he was the hottest shit around regardless of other peopleâs opinions. He frowned slightly before shaking his head. He needed to step up his game. âBut thanks. Youâre pretty cool too, I guess.â He stuck out his tongue before giving the other male a thumbs up.
Junghwan blinked as the other nudged him with a smile. âO-Oh, yeah. I mean, of course Iâm a big thing and Iâm proud.â He exhaled slowly before a smirk curved onto his lips, and then he had found his rhythm again. âSpeaking of big things⊠Nah, Iâm just playing. Not going to go there on a first meeting.â He laughed before winking in the otherâs direction. âWow, twelve? That means youâve been coding for longer than I have. Respect.â He held up his hand in offering of a high-five. âYou used to want to be a mathematician though? Thatâs interesting.â He raised an eyebrow at the uncommon dream.
Snapping his fingers, Junghwan pretended to look hurt. âDang, well, hopefully Iâll do something special as your third bro to propel me to number one status.â
âSaratoga?â Jaegar questioned, or for a better word, thought aloud. âIâm from Irvine. In the Orange County.â He explained, he loved talking about home. Though at the same time he absolutely hated it, and was beyond happy to now be living in Korea. California was a place he could easily live without ever seeing again. Jaegarâs smile widened as the other continued to react, âCalm down, will you? Itâs not such a bad thing, I might even be a bit extra and say it was cute.â He shrugged, rolling his eyes.Â
Jaegar bit on the inside of his cheeks to avoid laughing, âCooler than snow is just terrible, dude. You just lost two cool points.â He teased, a slight giggle passing from his lips. âWhat would it matter if I said you were lame? Itâs not like what I say will influence your life in any way, shape, or form.â He commented, he never understood why people took individuals opinions seriously. The majority was what Jaegar listened to, majority rules after all. âYou guess? After all the flattery thrown back and forth Iâd hope you knew whether I was pretty cool or not.âÂ
âHey- I said what youâre doing is a big thing. I didnât say you were a big thing. Youâre actually kinda small, in height anyway.â Jaegar was beginning to have more fun teasing Junghwan rather than actually trying to get to know him or talk about coding with him. âYouâre not going to go there on any meeting. If you bring that up again, I will leave and you will never hear of a Jaegar Choi again.â He threatened, though he wasnât too fazed by dick talk. âMath is the one thing I love more than life itself.â He visibly cringed at how geeky that had sounded. âPlease- donât misunderstand. Iâm a cool person, I promise.â
Jaegar shrugged, âDonât hold your breath, pretty boy.â
âWell, Iâd say youâre not too shabby yourself,â Junghwan replied with a grin. âAnd oh, yeah, I do. Do you speak English too? Come from the States? Canada? North America?â He stared curiously at the other male before a flush suddenly spread across his cheeks. âWh-What are you talking about?â Junghwan stammered, taken aback by both the maleâs smile and his statement. They had known each other for less than a day, surely his pretense hadnât revealed itself to be just that so soon? The only other roommate that seemed to have figured him out this quickly was Miyeon, and she was a different story altogether. âAlthough, I guess Iâm not tough at all, youâre rightâŠâ His voice trailed off as he attempted to salvage his attempt at creating an image for Roommate. âIâm, uh, cool. Cooler than cool. Ice cold.â He tried to smirk at the other, but even he could feel the raised corner of his lips twitch.
Junghwan shrugged before looking away, suddenly feeling shy. âI guess.â Even after landing his initial internship, even after landing his contract â well, everything in regards to Google had felt like a dream. Still felt like a dream, actually, if he was going to be honest. âI mean, yeah, I guess.â Clearing his throat, he held up two fingers in an attempt to indicate himself as triumphant. âHow long is âa whileâ?â He tapped a finger to his chin before lightly poking the other male in the arm. âBetter yet, how long have you been coding? Iâm curious.â
Junghwan laughed as the other fist-bumped him back. âAwesome, consider yourself lucky.â He smiled cheekily at the other before giving him a thumbs up. âYouâre my first bro. Ever.â His smile faltered momentarily as he muttered more lowly, âAnd Iâm not just saying that because I only have an older sister.â
Jaegar raised an eyebrow at his words, âIâm pleased you think Iâm ânot shabby.ââ He smiled, shaking his head softly. âI do indeed,â He replied, it was always exciting for him to find other people who spoke English as well. âIâm from California.â He continued to explain, he hadnât come across too many people who spoke English and he was dying to speak it more. âNo truly âtough guyâ can giggle like that, itâs much too endearing.â He shrugged, amused by the otherâs reaction. He let out a loud laugh at his next reaction, âYouâre just so cool.â He teased, entertaining the idea of him being cool. âI donât think Iâve ever heard someone describe themselves as, âcooler than ice.â Maybe thatâs a sign youâre not as cool as you think.â He continued to tease, finding his reactions amusing. âIâm kidding, you seem to be a âcoolâ guy.â He shrugged, deciding if this meant so much to him he might as well play along with it.
Jaegar nudged the other softly, âYou gotta be proud about it, dude. Itâs a big thing, meaning youâre a big thing. Say it more proudly next time, yeah?â He smiled, he was always very insistent on being proud about coding, and unluckily for the people around him, it transferred to them. âIt took me âtill I was about sixteen to figure out game development was what I wanted to do. Iâve been doing this since I was about- twelve? Iâve been interested in it for almost my entire life but, I was set on being a mathematician. Coding was the thing I took up instead of that.â He explained, it felt weird knowing it had been seven years since he started coding. Time had passed fast.
Jaegar returned the thumbs up, laughing at his words. âUnlucky for you, I have two brothers. Youâve come late, meaning youâre my third âbro.ââ He grinned.
âIâm the best,â Junghwan responded, hoping his words exuded more confidence than he actually had. As if to prove a point to both the other and himself, he briefly stood up to do a rendition of 2NE1âČs same-titled song. Then, he sat back down with his arms across his chest and an eyebrow raised so high it hid beneath his fringe. âWhat,â he stated in English, clenching his jaw and sticking his chin out in the otherâs direction. He only kept his smug look for several seconds, however, breaking out into a fit of giggles soon after.
âBut yeah, uh, Iâm pretty good. I guess. Good enough to land a contract with Google, anyway.â He smiled before running a hand through his hair. âAs for a specialty, Iâm not sure. Iâve never really thought about it, is that strange?â He figured  the other male probably had, after all, since he seemed so determined about game developing. Junghwan, on the other hand, just enjoyed coding for the sake of coding; he never put too much thought in focusing on a language or a specific branch of computer science. His only drive was to learn as many coding languages as possible and find out the extents to which he could push those coding language boundaries. How far could he utilize the power of C++? What wonderful secrets could the world of HTML unlock for him? Was the language of Julia as pretty as that one girl from his sophomore year data structures class?
Raising both his eyebrows, he clapped slowly once more at the otherâs admission of age. âHey, me too! That makes us same-year friends, huh?â He grinned before raising a fist in the otherâs direction. âLetâs be bros, yeah?â Maybe Jaegar could prove to be the Ted Mosby to his Barney Stinson.
Jaegar stared up at Junghwan as he stood up, he crossed his arms, watching intently. He let out a loud laugh, âYou sure are the best.â He rolled his eyes, smiling as he shook his head. âWhat?â Jaegar responded in English, not to sure as to why Junghwan had said that. Or why it had been said in English, perhaps he too spoke English. âDo you speak English?â Jaegar questioned, raising an eyebrow. Jaegar couldnât help but smile at the otherâs giggles, âSo youâre not as tough as you seem.â He replied upon seeing him giggle.Â
Jaegar nodded, âYou must be good if youâre with them, theyâre the big guys arenât they?â He replied, he wasnât too familiar with the popularity of different companies, but he did know Google was almost everywhere. He also knew he was quite impressed by the other being employed by them. âI donât think itâs that strange, it took me a while to figure out what I was enthusiastic about doing.â He shrugged, he thought himself lucky that he was so set on what he wanted to do.Â
Jaegar stared down at his fist, cautiously bringing his own to it. âBros? Well, I guess?â He replied, laughing slightly. Heâd never been considered somebodies âbro,â but there was always time for change.
Whistling, Junghwan slowly clapped in reaction to the otherâs statement. It was an admirable one, and he found it strangely attractive to hear the otherâs ambitions about his game developing. Which was weird, and maybe attractive wasnât the right word, but â
Clearing his throat, he stopped clapping his hands together to give the other a thumbs up. âThatâs quite the statement you just made. Kudos to you. I hope you can keep to your beliefs in the future.â He hoped his tone didnât come across condescending, because he genuinely wished the other would be able to hold steadfast to his creative vision and grand ambition. âAnd thatâs coming from someone whoâs about to be working around the clock for a big company.â He tilted his head to the side, tapping his chin thoughtfully before shrugging his shoulders. âAlthough, to be fair, Iâm not a game developer. Like I said before. But anyway, I digress.â
He narrowed his eyes suddenly, scanning the other male up and down in an effort to figure out how much about the other he could determine through physical characteristics alone. âBy the way, how old are you?â
Jaegar smiled shyly at his reaction, not expecting something quite to this standard. He shrugged proudly, he was proud of his views on his career. âI plan on doing just that.â He replied, though he wasnât a very strong person, and easily gave in; he was sure heâd be able to keep his views on his developing. âBig company, eh? You that good?â He joked, âWhat company?â He questioned, curious as to where the other would be working. âWhatâs your specialty? The thing youâd say youâre the best at?â He asked, eager to learn more about how the other used code and programming. He always was a sucker for coding talk, one of his worst qualities in his mind.
Jaegar noticed the otherâs eyes on him, but decided not to comment on it. He didnât want to upset anybody when heâd only just arrived, instead he gave the other a smile, relaxing back into the house. âIâm nineteen, and you?âÂ
haruahn:
âI understand.â Haru laughed in response as he continued to walk; although the room technically wasnât that far away, the house was just ridiculously large to begin with. âWell, my agency made me join so that I became more well known.â Haru explained, shrugging his shoulders. He didnât think his reason was that interesting, but he was now very glad that he had joined. âOh wow, thatâs really cool! What type of games do you make?â Haru asked, tilting his head slightly. He had never met a games developer before. âIâm a model, but I also have a radio show I do on Saturday nights. Itâs mostly in Japanese, though.â Stopping in front of a door, he opened it to reveal the other boyâs room. âWelcome to your room!â
Jaegar nodded, âThatâs a very valid reason for joining. recognition is always good.â He replied, he guessed part of that was why he joined. For his games to become more well known and such, as a good a reason as any other. âI make RPG games and horror games, I basically make everything and anything. I donât  really have a set thing I make but, those two are my most popular.â He explained, he knew eventually heâd have to find a style and genre that fit him. But right now he was happy just doing whatever he wanted to. âModel? That sounds- demanding. Radio show too? You seem to do a lot, I give you a round of applause.â He grinned, clapping slowly for the other. âAh- thank you!â
haruahn:
Haru let out a laugh in response, shaking his head. âItâs fine, this place is so big that youâre bound to get scared by someone at some point.â He replied, offering the other a smile. Making his way to the stairs, he made sure that the other was following him. âHaru is fine.â He nodded, leading the other in the direction of his room. âSo, what made you decide to join?â Haru asked, trying to make the other feel welcome. âWhat type of job do you have?â
Jaegar shrugged, he still wasnât entirely sure why he had agreed to do this. Something about needing to get out of the house, and recognition at the same time. âIâm still trying to figure that out myself, spur of the moment thing? Whyâd you join?â He questioned back, looking towards the boy. âIâm a game developer, or programmer. Iâm still not sure how to introduce it. In short Iâm a nerd who spends all his time on his laptop coding. What do you do?â
munseokju:
âitâs nice to meet you too.â seokju responded following along behind jaegar. âdid you just get here?â he asked looking at the other for a moment then  clicked his tongue. âare you from korea? iâm from busan.â he asked idly to keep conversing going - it felt like a natural question for someone with a name like jaegar.
Jaegar nodded, âI just got in a few minutes ago.â He further explained, âOh- no. Iâm not from Korea, Iâm actually from America. California.â He smiled, he was used to these sorts of questions. It was expected, as he didnât exactly have a Korean name. Jaegar was quite far from a Korean name in fact.
parknsora:
Sora smiled at the boy, placing her hand on his wrist the girl pulled the boy (in the most soft way possible) to their localization downstairs. Once they were there, the girl found herself looking for his room, her eyes scanning every single door until she saw the number 22. ââRight thereââ she murmured while pointing to the door, ââDo you want me to help you with your luggage?ââ
Jaegar simply nodded as he felt himself being pulled, there wasnât much he could say or do in this situation. There was really no need to say or do anything, he simply let himself be pulled by the girl. âOh, thank you!â He smiled, opening the door cautiously. âOnly if you wouldnât mind. I wouldnât want to bother you if you have something better to do with your time.â
chxxjay:
Junghwan felt his cheeks warm as the other returned his compliment, which was a stupid reaction. Barney Stinson wouldnât blush over a maleâs compliment, so why should he? âUh, yeah, I know I am. Psh, but thanks. Always good to know Iâm appreciated by both the men and women of the house.â He laughed awkwardly as he ran his other hand through his hair. His face scrunched up momentarily when the other admitted that he was a game developer and coded; he wasnât sure how he was allowed to react. On the one hand, he was really excited to meet a fellow programmer. On the other hand, would it look too nerdy if he started asking the other about what coding languages he preferred to work with and how long he had been programming?Â
In the end, he settled for a smirk and a simple statement of, âThatâs pretty cool, I guess.â He saved his progress on the program he had been scanning before patting the spot beside him for the other male to sit. âI guess itâs obvious by my laptop situation, but Iâm a programmer as well. Although, not much for games, more so for general apps and the like.â He stroked his chin thoughtfully before shrugging his shoulders. âAlthough, technically, the very first app I programmed was a game. But nonetheless. Game developer, huh? Are you planning to work for any big developer companies then?â He didnât know too much about gaming, but he knew about companies like Blizzard or Riot.
Jaegar raised an eyebrow at his response, heâd never met somebody before who seemed so confident yet unsure of themselves. âI- Okay?â He replied, not too sure how he was meant to respond to situations like that. It was the overconfidence of others that lead Jaegar to wish he never had to leave his room, but he guessed now he was in a place that was not his home, he had to leave eventually.
Jaegar nodded cautiously, moving to sit down. He listened to the other talk as he stared down at his lap, it wasnât often he discussed things like his programming. It was never a topic anybody was very interesting in knowing about, so he never brought it up. Now there was someone else who was interested in it, well, he didnât know if he even wanted to talk about it now. He shook his head, âItâs just me and my laptop. Iâve worked solo for a while now, I donât like the idea of big companies drowning out my creative vision. Each game and software I work on are a part of me, as dorky as that sounds. I want to give all of my creations the entirety of me, not what companies decide I should give.â He shrugged, that and the fact that being around people for too long was terrifying for him.Â
chxxjay:
Junghwan nearly jumped out of his skin when someoneâs voice trailed into his ear. âChrist,â he muttered in English, turning around to see an unfamiliar face. âI-Iâm just debugging someone elseâs code, thatâs all.â Though he hadnât officially started working at Google yet, some of his coworkers who remembered him from his previous internship there had already started sending him either work or programs to look over. If he didnât like coding so much, he would have found the actions slightly irksome since he wasnât even on the payroll yet; however, he loved coding as much as he adored the piano, and he took on the excess work with glee and ease.
âIâm Chae Junghwan, but you can call me Jay.â He extended a hand towards the other male, genuine smile suddenly breaking into a smirk when he remembered they were on camera. An awkward laugh escaped from him as he glanced over at a camera before running his outstretched hand through his hair instead. âYou know, youâre pretty cute. For a guy. Are you an idol like half of this house is?â If he was, Junghwan certainly didnât recognize him from any of the music programs he watched. Maybe he was still a trainee. There were a few of those within the house as well.
Jaegar nodded, moving to sit next to the boy. He looked over his shoulder at what he was doing, it felt like it had been years since Jaegar had come across somebody else with knowledge towards coding. It always excited him when he found people who actually knew about what they were doing. The boy next to him seemed to know what he was doing.
âItâs nice to meet you, Jay.â Jaegar reached for his hand, slightly confused when he retracted it as soon as he had extended it. But he didnât question it, each to their own and all. He raised an eyebrow at his words, it had been a while since somebody had called him cute. Especially a boy. âWell- youâre not too bad on the eyes either.â Jaegar laughed, shaking his head. âGod no,â He replied, he never wanted to be an idol. He knew he didnât have the talent or personality to be an idol. âIâm a game developer- or programmer. Whatever you want to call me. I develop games and code.â He explained, he still wasnât sure exactly what category he fell under, but he guessed the other could understand.
chxxjay
Jaegar still felt fairly new to the house (mostly because he was), because of this he spent most of his time either in his room or roaming around the house. Now was one of the times he wasnât sure what to do, so he spent it looking around in case anything interesting caught his eye. Walking into the living room he noticed someone on a laptop. Curiously he walked behind them to watch what they were doing, he was interested to see it was code. He leaned in to inspect it further, âWhatâre you coding?â He questioned, looking towards the person. He wasnât sure who it was exactly, but he was sure heâd know soon enough. âOh, excuse my manners. Iâm Jaegar Choi.â
